Chapter Seven

Saito gave Louise a strange look. "Well, obviously. There's only one moon."

"No there's not!" Louise looked panicked. "Where's the smaller one?!"

"Louise, what the hell are you talking about?"

Louise took a deep breath. "I think I'm in a different world."

a.a.a.

"So what you're saying is, you're from Tristain, which is in a different world with two moons?" Saito scratched the side of his head.

"Yes." Louise crossed her legs. "Is that really so hard to believe?"

"Kind of."

She sighed. "Look, I don't have time for this."

"If what you're saying is true... if you're really from a different world, how do you plan on finding a way back?" Saito looked at her.

"Well..." Louise stood up. "That's what we're going to find out."

Saito got up and followed her to the door. Suddenly, Louise stopped and turned around to face him. "You never did tell me your name."

Saito chuckled. "I did. You just weren't listening."

Louise blushed. "O-oh. Sorry."

He held out his hand. "I think it's time for us to be formally introduced. I'm Saito."

Hesitantly, Louise reached out and grabbed his hand, shaking it. "Nice to meet you."

She looked into his blue eyes. And then, suddenly, a shock went through her body, as if someone had electrocuted her. She fell backwards onto the carpet of Saito's apartment and hit her head on a small coffee table.

"Louise?" Saito rushed over to her, panicked.

Louise opened her eyes and looked at the blurry image of the strange boy standing in front of her. "It's... you." She whispered. "I'm your familiar."
