Relief flooded through the room, warm like wind from the south that soothed the small family and Arya's breath seemed to allow them all to breathe once more. Sebastian was a mess, still trembling as he wrapped his arms around Ciel and their little girl.
Branwen was quite relieved too, leaning against the door frame with tears dampening her cheeks as she clutched her chest, watching her brother, niece and friend all relish in the life that they still clung to. She cleared her throat as she straighten up and went to her family; a family so small but still precious. "Let's leave the room," she suggested, placing a gentle hand on her brother's shoulder, "We're all ok," she ushered them through to the kitchen, "She's alive, she's safe and we're... We're going to kill that bitch."
Ciel nodded his agreement, "Yes, we will," he said and placed his daughter in the arms of her father. Sebastian clung to Arya who had woken, her piercing blue eyes staring up at her father. He pressed a kissed to her cheek as he choked on a sob of relief.
"She's awake," Sebastian breathed.
Branwen's lips curved into a relieved smile. "Wonderful," she sighed gratefully, "We'll have to keep an eye on her until she's out of danger but, for now, we need to get her to feed. Allow me?"
Sebastian passed Arya to Branwen who busied herself with feeding the infant. Ciel took Sebastian's hand in his own and gave it a gentle squeeze. "Sebastian... I know you blame yourself," he said softly, "But you mustn't. However, letting Magnolia go was a mistake; she's trying to ruin what we have and I could have lived with it but this... She's gone too far this time. She needs to die."
Sebastian's burning red eyes filled with hate upon hearing the name of his ex wife. "Yes, love, yes she does." He agreed, his tone full of cold rage.
Magnolia knew her attempt had failed. She lived and breathed death like oxygen: Of course she would know when she failed and it filled her with such bitterness one could be forgiven for suspecting she herself had been poisoned.
It had been foolish on her part not to suspect that perhaps Branwen, the perfect fucking sister of her ridiculous ex husband, would have kept an antivenom all these years just in case. Paranoid, some would think but it certainly worked in that disgusting little family's favour. An angry hiss left Magnolia's lips and she kicked over a table, glasses and bottles of red wine shattering on the oak flooring.
She couldn't stand it! That happy little family. She gagged, the very thought encouraging a desire to vomit. That pathetic little shit was in her bed, in her way with her husband. Ex husband. For over a hundred years, she had been with one of the most powerful demons in Seven Hells and it had taken just as long to whore, barter and bribe her way up the social standing in order to be a worthy match.
She wasn't going to let some tame kitten and his filth destroy all she had worked for.
"M'Lady!" one of the servants rushed in, risking her wrath by barging in unannounced, "The window! Look out the window!"
Bewildered, Magnolia strode gracefully over to her bedroom balcony to find herself staring at a thousand demons approaching with Sebastian and Branwen at the front. It didn't take a genius to realise that this army of fire had come to burn Magnolia and all she possessed to the ground. She turned to the servant, trying to contain her fear that was reflected in the servant's face.
"Call the guards," she ordered, "We're under attack!"
"There're no guards no more, m'lady," the servant said, "Everyone has gone, fled. I came to warn yeh..."
Magnolia's face fell. With no one to fight for her, she was greatly outnumbered, even with all her power. "But you stayed... Why did you stay?"
The servant shifted. "No one deserves to die alone."
Sebastian and Branwen watched as Magnolia's layer burned to the ground. Screams were heard from somewhere within but this was only music to the demons' ears. They relished in their victory, knowing that, when the screams died, so did their owners. This was the fires of hell and no amount of demon magic could put it out and no amount of screaming could dull the pain.
Silence followed and Sebastian turned to his sister, giving her an approving nod before they returned home.
Ciel had put Arya to bed and was waiting for his lover to return home. The aroma of ash and smoke clung to the raven haired demon, filling the room with the scent of death. It was over and they could indulge in a life without a frightful ex that kept haunting the family.
Without a word, Ciel led Sebastian to bed and tugged at his clothes. They kissed fervently, fabric tearing away under fingers in their desperation to get to skin. Together they fell upon the bed they shared, their groins rubbing together as they both voiced their pleasure.
Shoving inside his lover, Sebastian began to move, slamming in hard and deep as Ciel called out his name. Each snap of the hips ignited another moan as nails dug into flesh in a demand for more. Sebastian eagerly hammered into his kitten, losing himself in the ecstasy of making love. "Marry me," he demanded huskily.
"Yes," Ciel agreed, crying out as his prostate was repeatedly attacked. "Sebastian! Yes!"
They came hard, their hips still moving as they rode out their orgasm, trembling against each other as they regained their senses. Sebastian recovered first and pulled out, lying beside his lover. Ciel cuddled into him with a content hum, nuzzling affectionately. For a few minutes, silence rested between them as Sebastian removed the condom.
"Did you mean to agree?" Sebastian finally asked.
Ciel chuckled. "Of course."
The elder demon grinned. "I love you, kitten."
"I love you too."
