~Several Months Later~

I woke up one morning from another prophetic dream. I'd been having them a lot lately, but this one was different. There was someone in my dream that I had never met, yet I knew exactly who she was. I smiled to myself. I was excited, for the first time since I could remember, for a prophetic dream to come true. I usually hoped against hope that they wouldn't truly come to existence but every since Ganondorf had been vanquished, there had been no nightmares: only dreams of bright and happy future...with Link.

I curled my toes in pure delight as I thought of our betrothal. When I had requested to marry Link, my Council happily approved of the marriage and we were betrothed that very night. The past several months has been put forth to plan such the event and it was finally here. Today was my wedding day.

I am getting married.

I hastily threw the covers aside and ran to my wardrobe. In front of it stood my long, gorgeous wedding gown. I ran my hand down the fabric, scarcely believing that this was the day. There was a gentle knock on my door and I granted them access. Estelle popped her head in and I met her gaze. She smiled brightly and ran to me and I hugged her tightly.

"Estelle, I have an important question to ask you." She withdrew and met my gaze once more, eyebrows lifted.

"Will you help me get ready for my wedding?" She squealed and hugged me again.

"I would absolutely love to! Oh, Zelda. I'm so so so so happy for you." She released me fully to swipe away at some tears form her eyes.

"Can we help in your preparations also?" Estelle turned around and I turned my head to look back at the door. I saw Marian, Athena, Althea, and Mercy all peering in the doorway. I laughed and waved them in and the maids flooded into my room. Soon enough, I was pushed into a chair as the flurry of activity rose around me. I could only beam as I slowly watched myself transform into a bride.

After what seems like hours preparation and anxiously waiting, I was being escorted by Estelle and Marian to the throne room, where the wedding was being held. The throne chair had been repaired from the damage of the battle and room was decorated extensively with floral arrangements and purple ribbons. I nervously patted my hair and my palms started to sweat as I gripped my flowery bouquet. I heard a large amount of chatter coming from the room, as I waited off to the right of the giant entrance. Mercy in her beautiful blue gown came out to inform us all the guests were seated and the orchestra was waiting their cue for me to begin my walk. The three maids wished me luck and disappeared to find their seats. I was granted a few moments alone to gather myself.

Soon enough the beginning notes of the melody I had chosen began to float through the room. I heard the rustling of everyone standing as I centered myself at the entrance. I looked up and met Link's eyes, who was standing at the very front of the room. He was a distance away, but I still saw the slow smile that crept onto his face. As my cue to move forward came, I confidently took the first few steps. My gaze never moved form Link's as so many thoughts flew through my head.

I had to walk down the aisle alone, because my father was gone and I refused to have anyone take his place. The orchestra was playing the very same lullaby my mother use to sing to me as a child. I had a very talented musician compose the piece and the ending result was beautiful and perfect. I may not have my actual parents here with me, but the lullaby was a close enough substitute. For the first time since I began my walk, I looked down as I was filled with the grief that always ensued when thinking about the loved ones I had lost. For so long, I had had no family. I was always so alone.

But Link was going to be my family from now on. He and our precious daughter that I had saw in my prophetic dream last night. I didn't see her face; all I saw was a small child, with long dirty blonde hair, clumsily make her way to a smiling Link who had his hand lowered for her. She reached her destination and Link's hand easily surrounded her tiny plump one; his wedding band – the same one we had made for this very day – glimmered on his finger. His smiling gaze looked up at me and his smile widened. He turned his body away from me as he walked with our daughter away from me until they both disappeared.

Inspired by the vision, I lifted my head and met Link's eyes again. His gaze softened at the tears gently running down my face. I shook my head and smiled. I slowly made my way up the steps. Link's left hand was outstretched – much like in my dream, sans wedding ring – and I happily grasped it and we both walked up to the small table at the front that held our wedding candles. The music slowly faded as we came to a top at the front. Rauru, the head priest, stepped up to the table and cleared his throat. I hardly paid attention to the words he spoke, I merely focused on my beating heart, and Link's warm and steading grip on my hand. I was returned my attention to Rauru as soon as he spoke of the vows. I reached over and placed my bouquet into vase on the table. I then turned to fully face Link and reached to grab his other hand. His squeezed my fingers gently and I couldn't help the giddy smile that made it's onto my face.

We both said our vows and soon enough we were slipping the rings onto each other's finger. We both looked at Rauru with anticipation.

"By the power vested in me by The Gods above – I pronounce you man and wife." He looked to Link and smiled. "You may kiss your bride." Link smiled as he slowly stepped forward and I leaned in, meeting him halfway; the room suddenly exploded in applause and hollering. As I separated from Link I turned and grinned at the crowd. I saw Estelle and the rest of my maidens clapping vigorously. I heard a loud whistle come from Link's side of the room. I laughed as I saw Rusl pump his hand in the air next to other cheering Ordonians. Link grabbed my left tightly and I could feel the cold band press into my fingers. I gasped as I was swept off my feet and the already rowdy crowd grew in intensity. I met Link's gaze and his was laughing, his blue eyes filled with mirth and love. I placed both hands on the sides of his face and brought myself closer for another kiss.

"I love you," I whispered and he kissed me once more before making his way down the stairs and down the aisle. He set me on my feet outside the entrance. He leaned down and kissed me more deeply, now that we were out of sight.

"I love you too."

I am sad to say…that this is it.
