Jinafire looked up at the sky and saw a red-and-yellow firework crack against the sky as dusk approached, then she sighed deeply, missing her home. Heath looked over at her as he was walking past her and stopped.

"Hey Jina, whats wrong?" He said, trying not to sound as concerned as he was. She put on a small smile and looked at him.

"Oh, nothing.. I just miss my home. The fireworks remind me of when we celebrated the Chinese New Year." As Jinafire turned to go inside, Heath sparked an idea. Instantly texting Clawd, Deuce, Jackson, and several others, he sent,

'Jinafire misses home. We should have a huge celebration with fireworks to cheer her up. u in?' and he ran to his house. Even if no one was in on it, he was determined to make her happy. However, everyone was sending mass texts to one person and the next about the plans, and it was all to take right outside of Cleo's mansion. Before he knew it, someone had text him to go get her, so he did.

Heath knocked on the door and Jinafire opened it, looking a bit confused, "Heath? What're you doing here this late?" He gave a smile,

"There's something going on at Cleo's, and I wanted to know if you'd join us?" He mentally slapped himself, where did his confidence go? Jinafire thought for a moment and then smiled, stepping out of the house and closing the door.

"Alright. I'll go, but I might not stay long.." They walked to the mansion and Heath wondered why it seemed so inactive from afar, suddenly he saw sparks, then a huge firework shot into the sky, spreading into blue and red sparks. They both ran over and joined the others, setting off all kinds of fireworks. Romulus and Clawd made sparking tanks run into each other by lighting them facing each other, and everyone watched each other set off fountains. Soon they were down to the last fireworks, and it was late. They set a few off at once and Heath walked over to Jinafire, who was watching the last few fireworks spread into the air. He grabbed two flying lanterns and smiled,

"How'd you like the surprise celebration?" Jinafire's eyes were bright, even in the darkness.

"I loved it. People told me this was your idea.. thank you Heath, this means a lot. You're not as bad as everyone thinks."

"No problem, Jin. And Thanks. We still have flying lanterns, and everyone else is setting theirs off. Here's yours.." He handed her one and together, they both released one green and one red lantern into the sky, trailing slightly behind all the others. Jinafire smiled at Heath and he put his arm around her waist, taking her by surprise. As she went to say something, he kissed her lightly, and to his relief, she kissed him back, leaning into him. Suddenly, one last firework exploded into the sky, and it expressed everything they felt right there.
