It was a day later after the guardians and Jack defeated Pitch. They still had some things to clean up that Pitch screwed up. But this day they took for themselves. Everyone was drinking and chatting, North was doing some Russian dance. Jack was the drunkest of all. The Guardians figured it was his first time drinking so they started him off with some Vodka mixed with orange juice. Apparently Jack liked this. A lot. First they gave him shots of the stuff. After a while they said that was enough for a beginner like Jack. But he wouldn't leave them alone saying he was ready for something else. The more annoying he got, the more drinks the Guardians had, finally North just gave in and poured the winter boy some Tequila. Now after a few shots of that, Jack was stumbling every other step he took.
Jack doesn't normally have any attraction to Tooth but in his drunken eyes she was gorgeous. She was walking (or tripping) around the place. Jack stumbled over to Tooth and pulled her closer. Now everyone was drunk, not as drunk as Jack but none the less drunk. Tooth giggled at Jacks actions. "Hey Toothiana, I never really noticed how pretty you are." Jack slurred Tooth face redden at the compliment given to her. "Very Pretty…" The two friends faces were drawing near each other, but not before Tooth caught a glimpse of Bunnymund's face.
She made eye contact with him only for a second or two. Tooth knew Bunnymund the best of all her friends. She was pretty sure she was the only one that knows of his past and the war that killed his friends and family, basically killed his whole race. To anyone eels Bunnymund's face would've looked the same. But she noticed the twitch in his nose and how he shifted from one foot to the other ever so slightly.
She read it all in his eyes. She read that he didn't like this. He didn't like Jack kissing her. He didn't feel comfortable with this and the last thing she wants is to make bunny – her bunny- feel uncomfortable. At the last minute before their lips touched Tooth pushed Jack away and shook her head. This didn't have any effect on Jack; poor boy just fell on the floor and passed out.
North walked over to the fallen winter spirit – North and Sandy was the least drunk to be honest- and picked him up to put him in a guest room to spend the night. Tooth left outside to get some fresh air. About five minutes later Bunnymund came out and sat next to her. She didn't move or turn her head towards him.
After a few moments of silence he turned to her and said "Thanks." In surprise she looked towards him "Excuse me?" Bunnymund sighed "Please don't make me say it again." Tooth laughed "Say it!" Bunny chuckled "No!" She wrapped her arms around his waist and looked up at him with big Bambi eyes. No…not the Bambi eyes…anything but that. He bent down and planted a kiss on her check, "I said 'Thank You' Tooth" Stunned she pecked him back on the check. "You're Welcome."
