Author: "Oh, hello there. Welcome back to my story. If any of you guys are wondering, I actually just came back to FanFiction from a long hold for some kind of reasons. And now I'm fully able to continue this story. Sorry to keep you waiting. Eih come on, Weenie. Let's check the reviews that we got."
Neville Wayne: (opens notebook) "Okay, from the first one, it's from the author Jeff117. He hopes that Tyler must save Jewel from that darn-Carlos as soon as he can, and simply calls him as a homunculus jerk."
Author : "A what?"
Neville Wayne : "It's actually some kinda bad words to be mentioned."
Author : "Okay, I hear that. Well, as a matter of fact, Blu really has to, but you can get that Carlos isn't actually an ordinary bird. Don't you see it? He's ... pretty brutal and hostile, or kind of it right?"
Neville Wayne : "And I appreciate with what he had written at the end of the review."
Author : "Who's the next, Wayne?"
Neville Wayne : "From the author Blu100-Jewel100, he's kind of worried if some bad things might happened to Jewel while she's still being captive by the villains here. And ... You know what I mean with that 'something', right? Seriously, he ... wondered where Tyler could be when you need his help."
Author : "Well, I'm not gonna make that sort of thing with Jewel's character. That's too far, okay? Not gonna happen, don't worry. And Blu is still with Wayne, preparing for themselves to save her."
Neville Wayne : "Okay, let's just begin this chapter already. I'm really tired of with this job-"
Author : "We're dealing with some surprising reviewers here!"
Neville Wayne : "Didn't see that comin'."
Author : "It's a friendly review from Arlene the Scarlet Macaw: 'good grammar, interesting plot, can't wait to see what would happen for the rest'. Well, thank you then. Just wait for a couple of chapters to see the important parts."
Neville Wayne : "Ummmh- we've got a message from one of your fellow authors. Rapper the red macaw, he mentioned something about a hateful review on your story, which is just needed to be ignored. He also mentioned that he saw your drawings from Ricardo the Black Hawk."
Author : "Ooooohh ... I've never expected that they would come that far. Thanks, man! If any of you wonder, just visit and check my blog for sometimes to see some OCs from Rio Fandom that I made. It's on my profile, and I guarantee you will mostly like it."
Neville Wayne : "Okay, enough. Let's just end this boring session and start with the story line."
Author : "-and keep watching on everything that happens!"
Neville Wayne : "Oh, just shut up!"
Back to Tulio's aviary...
Everything had seemingly gone out of controls. We all can now see that the Treatment Room had already been filled with hundreds of colorful avian creatures all from Rio de Janeiro jungles. Many of them were mostly being the usual macaws of these days, while the others were normally small chirping birds, and many various kinds of tropical birds that can be found in Brazil. It had clearly seemed that they were being evacuated into a safer place, away from the great danger that still remained in the deep jungle where their real homes were. The room was in a great disaster of their loud and noisy squawks. Neville Wayne was effort fully giving some instructions in front of the panicking crowds. It was seen that he had just finished with his presentation about the great hazard that they were facing while using via an LCD screen device. The intense session was eventually ended with a short closure of his speech. Everyone in the room stayed quiet, nobody was making a noise. It was an awkward silence between the feathery friends until Wayne took a deep breath.
"Okay, as you all can see, your home is now a dangerous place to be lived. Nobody is allowed to go into the jungle until everything is clearly called to be safe ... This is for the best." Wayne said in his usual high voice while putting his wings back to his sides. A saddened expression was painted on his face. Just then, the silence was broken when a female Lear macaw among the crowds raised one of her wings to ask something, all the birds' eyes simultaneously moved to her, "Then ... What will happen to us?"
Wayne's normal expression still remained on his face, his eyes looked down to his talons for some seconds before answering her question, "It's simple ... We're going to evacuate every living quarters into a safer sanctuary. We'll make sure all of you will be there."
"What about my family?!"
"A-and my family!"
"I can't leave my mate behind!"
"Please, h- help us!"
Dozens of panicking yelling of the birds continuously stormed through the Treatment room with their endless shouting. It wasn't an easy thing to conquered hundreds of squawking birds in front of you. Therefore, Wayne just stayed low on his position, standing there doing nothing but listening to every shouts that came from the disastrous crowds. It was a really long pause until he assured them to calm them down, raising both of his wings in the air to turn their attentions to him. "Okay, settle down! Please settle down, people. We're dealing with some professional assemblies here. I promise I can help you all. Please just, CALM DOWN!"
Everyone stood frozen on their place, staring briefly at the male scarlet macaw that was still catching his breaths. Some of young macaws got frightened and hid under their parents' wings. Wayne inhaled a heavy breath before putting his wings back to his sides, continuing to speak, "Thank you for your participations. Okay, now where were we? Ah yes, the plan is that we're going to place every secured civilians into the safer sanctuary here, any single birds won't be left behind. So don't be worried if any of your families can't go along with you."
The bird crowds spontaneously murmured sighs of relief on hearing the sentences. Wayne had a grateful smile on his beak, happy to see that the innocent people who trusted him could quickly understand the situations. "Okay, all of you can go back to your chamber to get some rest with your own family for now ... Except for you, Tyler Blu Gunderson."
The scarlet macaw merely glanced at his blue comrade who was standing not far away from his left side, among Rafael, and Nico, and Pedro. Wayne's wingtips was being folded together while half-closing his eyes. "What? Me?" Blu reluctantly stepped forward, pointing his wingtip on his chest to make sure that Wayne was calling him. Hundreds of the birds' eyes moved to him.
"Yeah, who else has that weird name in this room anyway?" Wayne harshly replied in sarcasm.
"Great, now we can have some words to talk, right?" Blu flatly said while putting his wing back to his side, impatiently waiting for him to explain something about what would happen next. Instead of answering him, Wayne rewinded the blue macaw and turned his attention back to the crowds, briefly insisting them in a friendly manner to get back to the artificial jungle. "Okay, everyone, you can go back and let us have some alone time now. We're holding the next meeting in ... seven hours." He then turned his head to Blu, with a serious look on his face this time, "Yeah but first, we need to recruit some of your professional subordinates." Wayne glanced over Blu's shoulders at the trio city birds (Rafael, Nico, and Pedro) who were still making their way to the artificial chamber among the birds. He stopped their actions right before they began disappearing from his sight.
"Hey, you three! Samba birds, where the heck do you think you're going?" All the tree birds heard him calling 'em and spun around, confused looks were on their faces.
"Wat, we thought you just insisted us to go into that room, bird?" Pedro complained slightly in a bit annoyed voice, his fellow comrades nodded in agreement. Wayne sighed in response. "Party time's over, get over here now. You three are hired to go along with me."
The irritated looks on Nico and Pedro's faces soon changed into a happy one on hearing Wayne's proposal. They excitedly bumped their bellies into each other's before flapping their wings to Blu and Wayne. "Who-hooo yeah, Nico. We working together to save Rio, now that's what we call popping in here!"
"We're not going to miss it for the world. This is going to be most extraordinary experience that we're going to do for this week," Nico cheerily stated while floating on Blu's side, Pedro did the same on the other side of his. Wayne walked over to give some aid to the bandaged Toucan who was still carefully making his way to small group of birds due to his injuries; he whispered something to his ear.
"Yo, Toucan- ummh, just asking: I thought you're married with a mango?" Rafael raised a curious eyebrow on hearing his question, but still he didn't bother to answer him.
"Yeah, she's a bird just like me. Her name is Eva. Why would you ask me that kind of question if I may ask?" He asked also in a whispering voice, almost completely inaudible. Wayne glanced at his surroundings before stared back into his eyes, whispering back to him. "Because your wife is coming right to you in ... 5 seconds."
Rafael watched as his scarlet savior flew back to Blu, leaving him with an unaware expression on his face. But when he looked out of an opened window not far from him, he saw his wife coming directly into the treatment room through the window; hurriedly rushing towards her husband with a very angry expression clearly seemed on her face, "Rafi!"
"O-oh hello, Eva my love! I miss you muc-"
"I've been looking for you everywhere! What happened to you?!"
Let's leave this faithful Toucan pair with their own time for a moment, back to Blu and Wayne. "Okay, so that now everyone has gone, you might be able to tell us what the plan is, right?" The blue macaw impatiently questioned the scarlet macaw while following his path from behind. Both birds were walking on the steel-made treatment table where the workers usually tended to the injured birds, stopping right under a human-made fan which was still swirling a soft wind above them.
"Indeed ... So now listen carefully because this is super-classified and going to be known only by five of us..." Wayne turned his back around so that he was looking at him, with mischievous grin on his beak. And with that, the group of five birds began listening to their five-dimension scarlet leader...
30 seconds later...
"You want me to what?!"
Blu's eyes got widened as soon as he had finished telling him the plan to rescue Jewel. That was the only thing Wayne expected to hear. He stood there, folding his wingtips together with a nervous smile on his beak. Blu was worriedly pacing up and down in front of him. "Look, I know it sounds crazy, but you're gonna find ou-"
"'Crazy'?! No, that doesn't sound crazy. Definitely not crazy! This is horribly INSANE! I just spent the last fifteen minutes in my life, watching those recorded videos that telling how dangerous he is, how vicious he is, how capable he is to kill every single living beings in front of his eyes, and you want me to go beating him- alone?!"
"Yeah, so what was on your mind earlier before I told you the real plan, Tyler? Marching out the whole flock in here to get this guy's ass kicked?" Wayne asked in sarcasm, completely wondering how Blu couldn't even get the whole conversations in his head.
"W-well, you know what? Look what he has done to Rafael! That stupid plan is never going to work. Because as soon as I got there, I would be just as good as dead, okay? You hear me?" Blu merely stared at Wayne's reaction, the scarlet macaw arrogantly scoffed at him while arching his left eye-brow, slightly insulting his rejection. "Look, no matter how many times you push me to do so, I won't go there alone. You're looking at a really weak bird who even can't defend himself in the wild. In fact, Jewel is the only person in my life who always protects me in this jungle ... I- I don't know how to fight." Blu added the last sentence with a traumatic look, somewhat being ashamed of being a little coward to his mate.
"You're just scared."
"No, I'm not! Anytime now, I'm ready to land my blue wings right on his stinky layer that he calls face! All I need is a little help 'cause I'm just not strong enough to beat him!" Blu curled his both wings like fists and brought them in front of Wayne, vengefully swearing to lay a pay-back kick on Carlos for harming his dear friends.
Wayne walked over him as they were staring beak-to-beak with each others. He crossed both of his wings on his wounded chest with a flat expression, "In that case, like what I said earlier, I'm going to give you a very specific training. That's our plan from the first indeed. It is really going to help you. The good thing is, it will only take you three hours to lift you into the higher level of a fighting type; The bad thing is ... it's too risking for a kind of bird like you." Blu's eyes soon widened on hearing his words, arching a curious eyebrow in response. Three hours? Three hours to train him into a greater state to beat the nightmare bringer in Rio for good? He wasn't sure for it, as he didn't not believe what Wayne said.
"Are you sure with what you were just saying? Because ... I don't think only in a short time it can help me shaping up," Blu stated with an unsure tone. Wayne had a smile across his beak as soon as he heard the words, scoffing his beak to his side.
"Jeez, as I remember, I'm really sure that I never mentioned anything about giving you a 'physical training', Tyler. I never did," Blu became confused even more. He really didn't have any ideas what Wayne had in his mind, slightly trying to figure out what kind of methods that he would give to him. Furthermore, his thought was swept over when Rafael suddenly rushed over them.
"Hey, hey, hold the mangoes ... you're not gonna give him that 'thing', are you?" The Toucan unwarily implied, making sure that Wayne would do the same thing like he was thinking on his head.
"Hoh yeah, that 'thing'." Surprisingly, the scarlet macaw flashed a huge grin on his beak, deviously staring at Blu with his squinted eyes. Both Nico and Pedro soon stared face-to-face to each others, changing their expressions into slightly a worried one.
Nico put off his bottle cap and hugged it tightly on his chest, "Uh-oh, that's not good, man." Blu stared curiously at the frightened looks on his allies, assuming that they had already known something that he didn't. "You guys know about it?" The blue macaw turned to see his scarlet comrade bringing some bird-size stuff behind him; it was superficially bigger than his-size. He couldn't see exactly what the thing was because it was still covered with a dusty white fabric around it. Blu wondered what it was, but he dazed out of his thought when he heard Wayne merely chuckled to them.
"Ha ha, no need to worry, bros. Let's just call it that this is just going to be ... the basic training of this progress," after putting his right wing on top of the white fabric's side that still covering the stuff behind it, Wayne merely glanced at the curious blue macaw in front of him. "Tyler, if you're really willing to save your mate even when it will cost your life, then I'm here to help you. With this machine, it's going to power up your physical ability into even a higher state than this moment, and only takes several hours to finish it... Now, behold! "The Super Weenie's Sports Machine"!" Wayne swiftly swept off the dusty fabric from his mysterious property, completely leaving it displayed in front of everyone who was in the room that time. Blu's eyes widened in surprise. He frantically hissed on seeing the metal-curved stuff that Wayne showed directly to him, "I-is- is this?"
The scarlet macaw mischievously squinted his eyes on seeing Blu's reaction, flashing a huge grin across his beak, "Do you get it now, Tyler? If you pass, then I'm going to teach you how to control your 'Inner-Domination' ... Just like what I have."
Back to Carlos' hideout...
Jewel was still in her cage, anxiously pacing up and down while seeking on every corners of the metal-bars even having known that there was no way out of this dark nightmare of hers. It had been almost the last ten minutes she kept doing that over and over, which was starting to get Carlos even annoyed. He was still perching on the edge of his shelter, cautiously watching every move that she did in the bird cage. Carlos gripped his golf-stick in his wings tighter, cold-sweat running down his head. The bird was somewhat getting disturbed by the clanking noises that Jewel made with the cell bars. He was effort fully trying to ignore it, hoping that it would stop as soon as it could, until... he couldn't take it any longer.
"Would ye stop doing that and rest back to yer spot and be a nice girl, Young Lady?!"
Jewel suddenly stood silent on her place before spinning around to see her evil kidnapper, harshly questioning him back in a slightly sarcastic manner, "Oh well, then how are you going to make me stop doing this while you lock me in here for the last ten hours without leaving anything to be eaten?!"
The irritated look on Carlos' face soon changed into normal. He then arched his left orange-colored eye-brow in response, "Oh, so ye're saying that ye are hungry?"
"Yes! That's right! And do you know what I need when I'm hungry? Foods! Give me foods, NOW!" The female blue macaw demanded while showing her usual glare towards Carlos; but still, that never make him get frightened even a little bit.
"Well, my apologies, Young Lady. But seriously, I'm afraid there is nothing that I can do to help ye," Carlos simply rejected the request while putting somewhat a sympathy on his face, which was actually just his mischievous-acting in order to make his caged victim become wondering why. It eventually worked, the angry look on Jewel's face soon changed into a confused one on hearing his rejection. She whined not knowing the reason how it could possible, "But- why?"
"Look around ye! Do these cursed woods look like that they can grow damn fruits in their trees?!" Carlos loudly stated almost losing his temper, referring to the dried up and suffocated trees of the ghostly rainforest that surrounded the entire opened area. Jewel scanned her eyes to her surroundings, completely getting an obvious fact that there were no living plants around the place. The female macaw turned her attention back to him. Still, she didn't intend to give in on getting what she really wanted, "Then go to the nearest place where you can find them, silly."
When Carlos suspected that Jewel was planning something to him, he immediately flapped his wings and landed on the top side of her cage, glaring angrily at her. Jewel tilted her head up so that their eyes met with each others. "What's this? Ye think ye can drag me into yer common trick so ye can have a little time to get away frem here, don't you?" Jewel scoffed in response, turning her head sideways while showing a hateful expression towards him.
"Oh come on, what makes you think that I would escape? I don't even know how to pick a lock!" Jewel explained, almost losing her patience. She watched as her evil kidnapper showed her a very suspicious stare as he looked at her while turning his head sideways, not having any conviction for leaving her alone while he was not around. Carlos still stayed low in his position for a moment, making Jewel groaned for the third time. She crossed her wings on her chest while looking away from him, "Ugh, fine. Then I'll die starving!"
Knowing that it's going to be a problem for letting their hostage dies so easily, Carlos reluctantly obeyed her request. He lifted his head up, but still keeping his suspicious look on his face, "How am I going to trust ye?" Jewel let out a long sigh, still being wondered why he couldn't fully believe in her words. She stared back into his eyes, "Whatever..."
Go damn, Nian. Where are ye when I need ye?
"Fine then, I have yer words," Carlos stated before swiftly spreading his wings and leaping into the dark rainforest. Jewel watched as her abductor flew away from her sight, searching a good place where he could find something for her empty belly. She was about to lie back down inside the cage, but just then...
Jewel caught something in her eyes, something caught her interest, something that was shiny and seemed dangling on his waist. After Carlos completely disappeared from her sight, her eyes widened as she frantically spitted out a word from her beak...
"The key..."
