I need a gangsta
To love me better
Than all the others do
To always forgive me
Ride or die with me
That's just what gangsters do

If there was one thing that the supernatural population of New Orleans understood with perfect clarity it was do not disrespect their queen, Caroline. On occasion however, there was someone outside this realm who needed to learn this harsh lesson and God help him or her for incurring the wrath of the King Niklaus for offending her.

Ever since Caroline's sudden and now permanent entrance into NOLA society she regularly accompanied Klaus to his business meetings, most often at Rousses or some other loud club where they wouldn't be disturbed by the general population. While Caroline often liked to be sitting closely next to him in their private section with or punishing those they did business with, she often opted for being out on the dance floor with Rebekka or Bonnie dancing and gyrating her body to the hottest tracks that the DJ could spin, dizzying herself to the beat of the music and the alcohol that always flowed freely for her and her friends.

On one such night Klaus had been watching with rapt attention as Caroline swayed and twirled to the music pouring out of the loudspeakers. If it weren't for his mandatory meeting with the new leader of the witch faction in the city he would be with her on the dance floor, holding her close against his body, making sure everyone knew to whom she belonged. However, business couldn't be delayed and even his henchmen could easily pick up on his distraction, not that he really chose to conceal it from anyone. Caroline had consumed his mind and soul since she arrived on his doorstep two years ago, bags in tow and declared that hey needed to redecorate the entire house if she was to stay there with him permanently. Without hesitation or regret he handed over his credit cards and influence to her stylistic whims.

"You're a lucky man. Got a bad bitch," his companion remarked carelessly as he followed Klaus's line of sight to Caroline in the crowd of undulating dancers. What he didn't notice however, was he flash of golden irises that reflected Klaus's hybrid nature, protective, vindictive, and jealous nature.

"Oh, that she is," Klaus remarked enthusiastically, if not over theatrically knowing this man was about to meet his death for such an insult.

"The fire in my blood. The goddess of my world. The one, the only, the infamous Caroline Forbes!"

He lets out a sharp whistle, the signal he had Caroline had established many months ago as a sign that they were about to seduce and destroy an opponent. Halting mid dance Caroline came over to their section, her smile and demeanor infectious with laughter and seduction.

"Klaus," she acknowledged demurely with a smile gracing her blood red lips. Klaus could feel the jump in his companion's pulse at her presence.

"Listen, you are my gift to this powerful warlock. You belong to him now," Klaus declared with a grandiose gesture to the warlock, those his face was deadly with simmering rage.

"Ooh, you're cute," Caroline cooed moving closer and then sitting the warlock's lap. "You want me? I'm all yours," she agreed with a snap of her teeth in a mock bite startling the man.

Noticing how Klaus's eyes were filled with fire and fury, the warlock immediately tried to backtrack over his previous comment about Caroline.

"I don't want no beef!" He cried pleadingly to Klaus, looking as afraid for his life.

"You don't want no beef?" Klaus asked mockingly, gesturing wildly with his hands at the man.

"What's wrong, you don't like me? Fine! Don't waste my time then," Caroline huffed in a dramatic annoyance before moving off his lap and sitting next to Klaus on the lounge seat. Klaus's arm now moved around her waist to pull her in close to his side, staking his claim for everyone to see.

"Are you enjoying yourself?" Klaus asked the warlock who now looked positively ill at his mistake.

"No. That's your lady, Klaus," he replied instantly his eyes now closing in on the knife that Klaus was twirling in his free hand with dexterity and grace.

"That's right!" Klaus growled before lunging across at the man and slashing his knife across the warlock's throat, killing him instantly.

"I thought you wanted to make nice with the witches," Caroline commented lightly after the body was dragged away and the mess cleaned up by Klaus's obedient hybrids that were always lurking close by.

"No one calls you a bitch and lives to tell the tale," Klaus said simply over his glass of champagne that the bartender was quick to send over after their scuffle had ended. At least Klaus had been able to go two weeks without serious bloodshed, but as the ruler of the New Orleans underworld, blood sometimes was necessary to shed for his family or queen's honor.

"How about we take a case of this back to the mansion and I can make you forget all about tonight? Caroline purred quietly, for his ears only.

"You think so?" Klaus asked in amusement as Caroline drained her flute and grabbed his before draining it as well. She was the only one who could get away with any such antics, even over his siblings. He nearly had staked Kol the previous week for drinking his last case of Chateau Margaux 1787 because he needed it for his date with Bonnie.

"Well, are we going or not?" Caroline asked, her eyes glittering with desire and fire as if she knew exactly what they had to look forward to as soon as they got back to their home.

"Not yet, I haven't gotten in a dance with my queen," he returned standing up and pulling her along with him out of their private section.

"You old romantic, you," Caroline grinned as Klaus spun into her dance. Together, they lasted another hour before Caroline complained of her feet starting to ache. As soon as the last song hit its last note, Klaus had Caroline scooped up in his arms and carried her outside as the valet left to have their car pulled around. The ride back to the mansion was expedited by Caroline's hand crawling up Klaus's leg. It pleased her endlessly to tease and excite him in this way.

As they pulled into the driveway Klaus was at her door side pulling her into his arms and carrying her over the threshold as if a bride on her wedding night. Maybe someday they would get there, but it wasn't a topic she wanted to venture into tonight. All she wanted was her last love to take her to bed and make her forget all the bad things that had happened, not only this day, but all the days she had to spend without him at her side.

Klaus deposited her gently on the bed as he went to the bathroom to clean up the blood that stained his face and chest in his altercation with the warlock. Well it isn't as if this was the first time he had to kill to get his point across about Caroline to others. She was his queen and his reason for living. No one who disrespected that fact would live to see another day. And if he had to continue killing to absorb that information into the minds of the other members of the supernatural world, so be it. It was a price he would gladly pay.

As he returned back to their bedroom, Caroline had already disposed of her dress and heals and slipped into one of his Henley shirts. Without a word he divested of his clothes and slipped under the covers of their king sized bed and pulled her close under the covers so that their bodies were aligned with each other. With his face buried her luxurious blonde curls he murmured something she couldn't quite catch in his quietness.

"Hmmm?" She asked as she turned off the light next to their bed, encasing them in the darkness.

"You know I'd do anything for you," he repeated firmly, but quietly.

"I know," she replied turning in his embrace to rest her head against his chest, "And I love you all the more for it."

Well, Peace Corp didn't work out for me due to kidney problems, but I am back and writing again! Inspiration came from Suicide Squad and the Harley/Joker club scene! Don't own a thing! But I am glad to be back state side and writing my two favorite characters again! Reviews are love! 3 XOXO
