Authors Note: I am glad to announce that the second part to this series will be released either tomorrow or the day after. It will be a few months after the wedding and such. Thank you all. I'm so glad that I have found a fandom that doesn't exactly judge per say... Anyways... Onto the final chapter of this story.

Chapter 12: After The Ashes

To be honest I never thought I would be here or the fact I missed two years of my life without knowing it. The sacrifice was better in the end though... I was able to stay in a world with my one true love and somewhere I finally belonged. I was just a normal young woman who thought that nothing would go right in her life and then a group of fictional monsters end up in her basement. A few thoughts have crossed my mind lately... What would I tell my past self? How would I handle things differently? Would I be able to finally see the connection between myself and Martha? To answer this... I wouldn't tell my past self anything nor change how I handled anything. Sure... I was slightly a brat at times it seemed but I didn't understand my true meaning at that time. As for finally seeing the connection between myself and Martha... We both care for Drac deeply and we both would do anything to keep our family protected.

I slowly awoke from my sleep and smiled as I knew tonight was the wedding for Mavis and Johnny. I quickly raced out of the room and into the room Mavis had been staying in. "Now... It's time to get you ready!" I said with a grin across my features. Mavis laughed as she shook her head and raised an eyebrow. "Just you wait until your wedding, Jaime." She said. I laughed and shook my head as I looked at Mavis. "I told you... Jaime is my past name... It's Serenity now.. I perfer it more." I said as I opened the closet and looked at the wedding dress before me. It was a black dress with sweetheart neckline with a web design going up the chest area to the neck with a choker that had a red ruby in the middle. I carefully pulled out the dress and smiled as I placed it down on the bed.

"Before we do this... How about we touch up your makeup a bit? I mean after all... It is your wedding day." I said with a laugh. Mavis laughed a bit as she sat down and I began to touch up her makeup. "I'm curious to if your father will sing at your wedding... Or even prepare a toast." I said and brushed her hair. Mavis blinked a few times and looked up at me. "Oh boy... That would be interesting." She said with a small laugh. I smiled as I nodded towards the dress and began to walk towards the door. "You better get that on... I need to get ready myself." I said and watched Mavis smile then nod her head in agreement. I opened the door and left once again. I came to a stop once I was back to my room and raised an eyebrow as I didn't see Drac anywhere. A sigh escaped my lips as I knew he must of been planning everything out for the wedding.

I smiled as I looked at my black dress which was floor length and had matching fishnet gloves. I was in awe of the sparkle that the dress had and smiled even more. Normally, I would of hated such a dress but it was something both Mavis and I picked out on the day May had been banished. I quickly changed and placed a black rose within my hair then made my way to the main entry way of the hotel. Everything was perfect or so it seemed as I passed by but soon I was caught off guard by feeling someone crash into me. I fell backwards onto the ground and groaned as I rubbed my back a bit. "What the..." I said and looked at who I had crashed into. I laughed slightly and shook my head.

"I should of known better..." I said, looking at Dracula who was sitting up. Drac raised an eyebrow as he looked at me. "It seems we keep crashing into each other... Why is that?" He asked. I grinned a bit as I playfully shoved his shoulder and rolled my eyes. "I think it's because we both weren't looking." I said. Dracula chuckled a bit as he stood up then helped me back onto my feet. I was in awe at how handsome Drac looked with the outfit he had on. "You should wear that more often... It suits you better." I said with a smile then looked into his eyes. Drac shook his head as he noticed more guests appearing and kissed my forehead. "I'll think about it... Until then... I shall attend to the guests and you make sure Mavis is ready." He said.

I smiled and nodded my head as I began my way towards her room. I wondered if by chance... Did Drac still have any living family besides Mavis? It made me wonder but then again it wasn't my area to ask if he did or not. I shook my head, clearing all thoughts as I opened the door and smiled as I saw Mavis standing before me. "Auntie Eunice and Auntie Wanda helped with the veil..." She said. I smiled even more as I looked at Wanda and Euncie then nodded my head. "Well... Almost everyone is here for the wedding... So I believe it's time we get you down there for your wedding." I said. Wanda nodded her head in agreement as she patted Mavis on the shoulder. "It's just the beginning of your new life." She said.

Mavis smiled as she walked out of the room and began to head towards the grand ball room. I followed after her and smiled as I gently hugged her from the side. "Just think... Within a few months... I'll be in the same position as you." I said with a small laugh, trying to calm any nerves Mavis might have about the wedding. She laughed and smiled as she returned the hug. "Thanks, Serenity... I'm glad that this is just the beginning." Mavis said. I nodded my head and looked over my shoulder to see Drac standing there. "Looks like it's my turn to walk down the aisle first... Being maid of honor and all." I said with a smile. Mavis nodded her head and stopped before the entry way. I smiled more as I kissed Drac on the cheek before walking into the room, holding a dozen black roses within my hands.

I stood on the third step from the top and watched Dracula bring in Mavis. I smiled as I looked over at Johnny who seemed rather nervous but it seemed to melt away as he watched Mavis. I smiled as I looked at Drac and gently touched my stomach area. "I just hope our wedding is just amazing as this." I thought and smiled again. A few tears escaping my eyes out of happiness for Mavis and Johnny. I watched as the ceremony began and then within moments or so it seemed to me. Johnny and Mavis had exchanged their rings then kissed to make their commitment offical. I clapped my hands together and smiled as I watched the couple walk down the stairs and out of the room. I looked over at Dracula and gently took his hand within mine. "Don't worry... Mavis is in good hands." I said and gently kissed his cheek. Dracula smiled as he looked at me then gently placed his other hand on my cheek. "I know she is... I just hope for the best." He said. I giggled a bit as I gently kissed him on the lips then looked into his eyes. "Drac... Every parent wishes for that." I said.

Little did I know that within the next three months... Everything would change for not only Drac and I but everyone else around us.
