Curtis sighed tiredly, he was on a break from work. He had just finished shooting for an interview. His co-workers congratulated him, telling him "Great job!" He had simply just smiled at them.

Curtis took out his orange Xtransceiver from his pocket and scrolled through his contacts. Most of them were from work except for his mom and the girl he had grown a crush on- Rosa.

Rosa was the girl who had found his Xtransceiver, he had promised to meet her so he could get it back. Thinking that Rosa was older than him, he wasn't that nervous. But then he saw her, they were the same age- Curtis felt butterflies in his stomach just thinking about her.

She was funny, cheerful and cute looking. She was a trainer too meaning she was adventurous. Sometimes they met up in Nimbasa City but now she was even busier than ever, heading to the other gyms. She was almost done completing the gym badges, only needing 3 more. The times Curtis talked with her was usually when Rosa was preparing for a battle or when she was resting.

'Should I call her...?' Curtis thought as his thumb hovered over Rosa's phone number. Just one click and it would begin dialing. He looked at the time, "3:13 p.m." It read.

Curtis took the chance and he pressed on the screen. It was dialing and after a few minutes, Rosa picked up. "Hello? Oh, hi Curtis!" The blue eyed girl said with a happy tone of voice.

"You sound awfully happy Rosa." Curtis said laughing a little. He held his excitement in. Rosa nodded, "I just finished battling the Drieftviel gym!" She said and help up the gym badge.

Curtis smiled, "That's great. So, where are you going now?" Curtis asked tilting his head a little in question.

Rosa shrugged, "I'm a little tired so I might rest. But Clay said I should try out the PWT, Cheren and Hugh are going there too so I'll go give it a try before I go and take a break." She explained and rambled on how she was excited and how she'll plan to train for the next gym.

Curtis listened, never interrupting her. He liked listening to Rosa, her journey was fun and he loved listening to her voice. Rosa then suddenly stopped rambling, "Ah- I'm here." She said and looked up at the tall building of the PWT.

Curtis was a little sad but smiled nonetheless, "Alright. Talk to you later Rosa."

Rosa nodded, "Mhm." she smiled back and hanged up.

Curtis sighed and he jumped when he heard laughing from behind. There was Yancy, his co-worker. He blushed, "Y-You..." He said. Did she hear him or saw him talking to Rosa?

"I assume you have a crush on that 'Rosa' girl?" Yancy asked mischievously. Curtis stiffened, "N-No! She's just a g-good friend of mine." He quickly said.

"That blush on your face says otherwise~" Yancy said before walking away and giggling to herself. She gave a smirk to the blonde before turning away.

Curtis groaned, "Great..." He murmured to himself.

But he didn't deny to himself that he did have a crush on Rosa.
