Kay guys, Merthur is the most beautiful, lovely, heart warming, amazing ships I have ever come upon. I started watching the video's on youtube, and came here and have been steadily making my way through the merthur fanfiction with giggling glee.

LOL, this pair has ruined Armione for me, though I do still like the pairing. So here we are, my early endeavors into the world of writing Merthur fanfiction.

Enjoy!

Disclaimer: ME NO OWN THE ORIGINAL SEXINESS.

pairing: merlin/arthur

Merlin Emrys definately didn't think his life would ever go like this. When he was young and naive he didn't think he'd end up being gay, and he especially couldn't imagine someone like Arthur Pendragon being in love with him. Arthur was toned, gorgeous, tall, blonde, blue eyed and kind. Well, once you got under the prat-like exterior.

He also never imagined he'd wear his old neckerchiefs with his new expensive clothing to hide the numerous hickey's that the Crown Prince of Camelot had given him. He kept them well concealed under the scarves each day, because Arthur refused to stop marking him, no matter what Merlin said about them being careful.

If it were up to Merlin, they'd be outed. Arthur, King of Camelot, would have made an announcement to the court and to his people that he was in love with his court Sorceror and unofficial royal advisor, Merlin and planned to add official consort of the King to his long list of titles. But Arthur wasn't ready, and Merlin knew that. So for now, it was just him and Arthur in a world of hidden kisses, stolen caresses and hungry gazes behind locked doors and away from anyone who'd see them.

Merlin knows the people don't suspect anything. Advisors are usually seen trailing behind the King, and besides, Merlin was the Court Sorceror and he knew that made people wary of him, despite his best efforts. The people mostly assumed that Merlin wore his old neckercheifs because he was attached to them so he continued to wear them.

Merlin wishes they knew the real reason.

Arthur asks him one day - both sweaty, spent and entangled on his vast bed - why he doesn't use magic to cover up the marks so he can stop wearing those 'ridiculous, tatty rags that don't match his expensive wardrobe at all'.

prat.

He ccould reply with a lie, that magic takes effort to maintain, and it was too much of a bother to conceal them all day long. Well, he thinks, maybe lie is a strong word. It would indeed take effort to maintain the enchantment, but that would be mere childs play to Merlin.

The real reason he doesn't cover the marks is because, even though nobody else can see them, Merlin knows they're there, which means that Arthur is still his. He wears the mark like a little Pendragon crest, reminding himself of whom he belonged to and who belonged to him.

So when Arthur shifts to look at him, waiting for answer, Merlin smiles and shrugs and leans to whisper in Arthur's ear, "I''m naturally inclined to perform whatever acts you find annoying."

When Arthur throws his head back and laughs, snuggling into Merlin - the warlock smiles, and grins and feels the warmth of Arthur's love tingle from his toes to his fingers.

So this is love, he thinks affectionately.

What'd you think? Good? Bad? Sexy? Warm-your-heart-cry-because-they-aren't-a-legit-couple-feelings?
