Continuing our epic journey now shall we.

Rallen was landing the patrol cruiser on the roughest terrain he's ever navigated. The signal from Jeena's kaylee was beeping continuously.

"She must be really close." Rallen muttered as he brought the patrol cruiser to a tidy halt and hesitantly walked outside. The planet resembled the krawlosphere, it had a dark purplish sky and the ground were shades of grey and black rock. Komainu stayed close to Rallen as they walked towards an ominous fortress which loomed overhead, it was far away, but the enormous size gave it the affect of being closer than what it really was.

Rallen was worried, so worried that the Spectrobes were being affected by it. 'I swear if the bastard does anything to hurt her, I'll skin him alive!' he thought as he furrowed his brow and angrily trodded along the rough terrain.

"We'll get her back boy," he said to Komainu, because the little guy noticed Jeena's prolonged absence and was worried because he was very fond of her. "She'll be back cussing us out when we get into trouble."

Although Rallen put on a brave face, on the inside he was terrified about what could have happened to Jeena. Shaking his head he decided to think of better times, such as when they were back in high school at the NPP academy.

"So, when are you going to help me out with school work?" Rallen asked Jeena as they were walking down the hallway to the library. Jeena rolled her eyes and shot him a condescending look.

"Rallen, when is it time that you can do your work on your own?" she shot, obviously annoyed. Rallen felt a pang of sadness but didn't show it,

"I know, but I really do need the help." was all he could manage to say before Jeena cut him off.

"I know but I've tried helping you out before and it never works. You're too complicated!" she said.Rallen looked away because he knew it was true. 'But I only give you a hard time because I like you...' he thought as they entered the library.

"Come on Jeena, why do you always act like you don't like me?" he asked as the pink haired girl kept her back turned to him.

"Maybe because I don't like you." she responded flatly

Ouch. That actually stung Rallen pretty hard, for once he didn't have a smart or witty comeback to his partner. 'Why does she just brush me off all the time...' he thought as he turned to a book shelf and started to pretend that he had an interest in something.

After what seemed to be a while Jeena noticed that her partner hadn't said anything for a while. Glancing up from the book she was intently studying she noticed that he was sitting down in the middle of the aisle and he had a blank expression on his face. 'Maybe I was too harsh.' she thought as she sighed and closed the book.

"Hey Rallen."

Rallen looked up at her,

"Yeah?" he said standing back up as Jeena walked over to him and put her hands on her hips.

"Let's get to that work you needed help on." she said, with a slight smirk at the corner of her mouth. All Rallen could do was just stare at her, Jeena noticed this after he hadn't moved for a minute.

"Hey, Rallen? You there?" she questioned as he finally shook his head, sense coming back.

"Uh, yeah. Let me get that work that I was talking about." he said, starting to walk out of the library ahead of her so she couldn't see his blushing face. 'God damn it, why do I always have to be an idiot around her?' He chided himself as he heard her heeled boots clicking behind him in a fast tempo as she tried to keep up with his fast pace.

"Rallen! Hey!" she called, trying to catch up to her partner.

"Hey, you know I was just joking earlier right?" she said, putting a hand on his shoulder. He paused momentarily before looking over his shoulder at her,

"Yeah, of course I knew that Jeen." he replied smoothly with a small smile.'At least she doesn't totally hate me.' he thought to himself.

Swept away by his thoughts, he didn't realize that he had arrived at the fortress until he nearly bumped into what appeared to be the front entrance. 'That went by more quickly then what I anticipated it to be.' he thought.

"Well Komainu, let's go get her!" he said confidently as they walked into the looming front gates. They only made it a few yards in when a black mist surrounded them. "What the hell?" Rallen yelled as he shielded his eyes and flashed the prizmod on his gauntlet.

Evil laughter filled the air as the black mist thickened and shifted and molded into a shadowy figure.

"Krux?!" Rallen yelled as the figure threw back his head and laughed.

"Yes, it is I young Spectrobe master." he mused. Rallen gritted his teeth,

"I thought Jeena and I killed you back in the Kaio star system!" he growled. Krux's mask flashed brightly,

"You only weakened me you fool. Now I have returned to exact my revenge upon you." he said calmly.

Rallen grew agitated,

"What do you mean by, 'exact your revenge' hm?" he shot. Krux raised a gloved hand and a small orb floated in his hand,

"What is that?" Rallen said, patience wearing thin.

"Look a little closer." Krux said as the orb lifted off of his hand and floated over to Rallen, upon further inspection he saw that Jeena was inside of it. She was unconscious, barely dressed, and her hands were bound above her head.

"You bastard! What have you done to her?! What have you done?!" Rallen shouted, but as he lunged at Krux, he evaporated into black mist.
