Rayne winced as he pulled the trigger against Erbos-he hated having to use his gun again, it has been ages. The echo of the gun sounding reverberated throughout the entire dimension and the shock was amplified. There was purple smoke leaking from Erbos' wound, and the seething anger on his face seemed to drip onto the floor and begin to flood the vicinity.

There was a sound of shattering somewhere rather close, which caused J.D. and Hyuuga to turn their heads. "That must be where Erbos put Angie…" Rayne perked up when he heard that exclamation. "I-I'll go retrieve her!" He immediately bolted to where the sound was heard. "You guys make sure Erbos is dead! Take out your weapons!" The rest obliged and armed themselves.

"Make sure he's wounded, or hopefully dead…" Hyuuga muttered under his breath, narrowing his eyes at the flooding purple smoke that surrounded them, listening closely for Erbos' voice. Hartwell took a defensive stance and prepared for the worst. Even though they saw Rayne pull the trigger on Erbos and evidently saw that he was wounded, the smoke had created a thick veil between them and their enemy; They couldn't see squat. Beside that, the other thing troubling them was that Roche and Bernard, the two reporters, were the only ones not skilled in fighting.

J.D. told them quietly to try and get away from this fight and get somewhere the most safe within this volatile dimension. They nodded and tried to make their way through the smoke blindly.

Right after they had 'escaped' what may have befallen them, Hartwell, J.D. and Hyuuga were the only ones left to fight Erbos, if he were alive. What was to confirm it?

"You...bastards…!" A low, benevolent growl was heard from the depths of the purple smoke, and it alerted them that he was indeed alive, but the tightness of Erbos' speech showed evidence that he was wounded badly. Some of the smoke dispersed and showed a bleeding Erbos with the bullet wound just missing his "heart" by a few centimeters.

"Us, bastards? You're the one trying to create another age of chaos when the problems have already been solved for one hundred plus years! What do you hope to gain from this-No, you've already explained it to us," Hyuuga went on a lament, his whole speech becoming filled with tones of his love for his home and for his Queen, "but it's pointless! This is now over, Erbos, you have lost."

Erbos' face curled into a grotesque sneer that could scar children for life and send them running. "Have I lost? You still don't know if your precious Angelique is alive. How about that? Are you mad? Are you fuming with hatred for me? Good. Come at me with your futile efforts. It won't change anything." He changed his stance and prepared to fight, flicking his wrists to open two portals that allowed a multitude of Thanatos to appear.

"Shit…" J.D. mouthed under his breath as he and Hyuuga realized that they were surrounded, and hoped that Rayne would return with Angelique safe and sound, eventually coming to help them with this fight.

"For Angelique…!" Hartwell cried out as he pulled out his spellbook, and the three of them began to combat the Thanatos, and eventually, end this continuous struggle between them and Erbos. But Rayne had to be able to return soon...

Rayne was almost out of breath-This was unusual. "It must be the atmosphere in this dimension… I'm most definitely in shape!" He growled at himself and continued to run, hoping that he wasn't searching in vain, and that Angelique was-No. She couldn't be! Rayne thought, praying to be able to find her. Just one more hill… He climbed on top of the peak and gasped at what lay before him: For miles upon miles there was wreckage of purple shards of glass both small and large, and what seemed to be some sort of… obstacles? And in the middle, there lay what seemed to be a body…

"Wait… Is that?!" Rayne's eyes widened and a surge of energy pulsed through him as he realized who that was. "Angie!" He cried out and rushed past the neverending fields of glass and hoisted the unconscious Angelique into his arms. "Oh, Angie…" He sighed with great worry as he stroked her hair and brought their foreheads together, "What did he do to you?" His grip tightened around her as he held her bridal style and started to make his way back to the other three. "I'm gonna make that bastard pay."

As Rayne was walking, Angelique was stirring in her sleep. He looked at her with worry, seeing the distressed look on her face. Should I wake her up? U-Uh… But what if she's really out cold like that one time where she didn't awaken for a couple of months or so? No… That would be bad news for the people of Celestizam… Damnit, Rayne! You weren't there in time! His rampant thoughts were put on halt as he saw Roche and Bernard hiding behind a massive rock that provided coverage, as sounds of Thanatos and waging battle echoed throughout the dimension.

"Rayne!" Bernard called out and alerted Roche, whom both headed over to him excitedly. "You found her? Oh, thank goodness my little sister is safe…! Bring her her, you better help the others-Erbos is still alive, and he's summoned a bunch of Thanatos. It's getting worse by the minute." Bernard had a stern look on his face as he advocated for the safety of the Queen, and for the other three.

"Yeah, we'll look after her for the time being until you guys squash Erbos like a bug!" Roche grinned.

Rayne nodded and laid Angelique down gently beside them and before leaving to help the others, leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on her cheek. As he rose, Roche was fuming.

"O-Oi! I was supposed to be the first person to kiss Angelique!"

"Too late for that, reporter." Rayne chuckled, winking, rushing into the expansive purple smoke.

"Tch… It's too thick for me to even see anything!" Rayne complained as he tried to look for the others. "Guys! J.D.! Hyuuga! Hartwell! Where are you?" Rayne sighed with relief as he heard Hartwell's response.

He hurried over and looked at the others reassuringly.

"Did you find her?" Hartwell asked him as he was anxiously flipping through spells to cast.

"Yeah, I did-She's out cold, though. I let her rest alongside Roche and Bernard, where it's safe."

"Thank goodness. I feel almost a hundred times better now knowing that she's safe." Hartwell smiled.

All relief was shattered when Erbos growled at them, regaining the position of the center of attention. "That just means I failed, and that means I have more reason to kill you all!" Erbos screeched and sent a wave of energy around him, toppling the four of them.

Rayne got up and shot down the surrounding Thanatos, each with one shot, and left the others astounded. "Hm. I guess my bullets have more power when I actually have a driving force that supplies them." He faced Erbos with a powerful glare. "Erbos, this is enough. Just give up now and we can end your life painlessly. There really is no need to fight us any longer."

Erbos sneered at the quartet of fighters. "Never! Never in my entire life will I be ended by the likes of you! The only thing that would ever get rid of me is-"

"The Queen's Light of Purification, right?" The four of them gasped as they realized that none of them had spoken those words, but Angelique herself. She stood there in all her glory: her wings spread out in all their strength, and she was radiating her healing aura. Everything about her was shown in utmost magnificence. "With my help, all of us can permanently end your life, and then return to Celestizam unharmed. Erbos, your last run of terror is over."

Rayne, Hyuuga, J.D., and Hartwell looked up at Angelique with praise, and surprise, constantly hailing her. They were all speechless.

"A...Angie…" Rayne muttered in shock, "You're… You're so… Beautiful…" He fell to his knees, bearing first witness after a century to his long lost love. Never had he been more in love with her, seeing how much she has grown, how much stronger she had become in her power and in her will.

Angelique turned to him and smiled. "I'm so happy you're still alive… Honestly. I never thought I'd see you again." A single tear of happiness ran down her cheek, and to the others she turned to signify that that tear was also for them. "But now, we have other matters to take care of. Everyone, please, stand with me to help rid the world of Erbos once and for all."

Hartwell got up and walked to Rayne and helped hoist him up. "It's what I was born to do, Angelique. I was born to serve the Queen."

"Me as well." Hyuuga chimed in, rising up.

"I'd give up everything to help Angelique." J.D. smiled, all of them arming themselves.

"Alright, guys, let's do this!" The Queen of Arcadia closed her eyes and began to pray, and a healing light began to emit from her body and surround the entire vicinity. She flapped her wings and extended her arms, sending a wave of light to engulf Erbos in his entirety.

"No! You can't do this, Angelique! There will only be more suffering!" The evil being cried out in vain.

"No, Erbos," She looked down upon him "you are the only one who has caused suffering among us all. It's time for you to cease to exist." Angelique turned to the rest of her crew and nodded. "Go! Now! Unleash hell!"

They all yelled in high spirits of triump-to-be as they launched their attack on the vulnerable Erbos. Hartwell conjured a portal of vengeful spirits that have been harmed by Thanatos-which came rather handy, as they were given a chance to unleash their revenge-and they howled as they consumed him. Hyuuga made deep gashes with his spear, and J.D. did the same with his weapons. Rayne pulled out his gun with a trick and shot one last bullet at Erbos, and there was a loud bang, and ringing filled the ears of all who were within the vicinity.

Angelique descended gracefully, like the entity she was, and closed her hands around the specks of light that were once a fearful being named Erbos, and once opening them, there was nothing there. She sighed in utmost relief and turned back to her friends. "Is it ok for me to cry now?" She smiled and broke her calm and collected character and rushed over to them, enveloping them all in one, giant, love-filled group hug. "I thought I'd never see any of you again…!"

Rayne smiled and hugged her the tightest, wrapping his arms directly around her in a way that she was completely held by him. "I feel the same way, Angie. I'm so glad you're safe."
