Unromance

The brushes were soft, gentle, almost as if the air itself had acquired fingers and were roaming them along his face.

"What happened to my monster, Shizu-chan?" Izaya snickered, though his tone held less of a malice, seeing as his eyes were closed.

"Shut up. I can be romantic, you know," Shizuo hissed from behind barred teeth. The minor falter in his temper didn't hinder his hands, however, and they continued to explore about the informant's face, pushing away the stray hairs that cast shadows along his brow.

"I bet your hands are dirty. You probably haven't washed them in hours," Izaya sighed. His eyes opened slowly, revealing striking irises that coincided perfectly with dilated pupils.

"I told you to shut up," the blond growled, the lightness of his touch being affected this time around.

"When have I ever listened to you? Besides, you're starting to get rough. Your fingernails are digging into my neck, Shizu-chan."

Coming to realize that he was indeed inflicting quite a bit of pressure onto one of the informant's most vital points, Shizuo swooped his head low, intent on reacquainting his lips with Izaya's ear. "How about I strangle you to death? That way, I'll never have to hear your annoying voice again."

A simple chuckle was far less than anything Shizuo had expected to come from the man before him. However, he had concluded his thoughts way too soon, because it was Izaya who had now obtained the tender touch.

'There he is.'

Up and down, back and forth, then slowly across, the informant seemingly mapped out Shizuo's entire torso, memorizing every single portion. "You know, Shizu-chan," Izaya had begun, focusing a gaze so intense that Shizuo could have sworn, if he weren't wearing his sunglasses, his eyes would have been burned straight through.

"That was a very unromantic thing to say."
