Zeelee-Vallen: I needed to get this idea out before I lost it! It's going to be my first story without an oc as a main character. It's gonna be odd for me... But tell me what you all think, and I'll write more, or make changes :D Also, please forgive my writing/grammar... I'm learning as I go, I'm still trying to perfect my style. I don't know what I'm doing for pairings just yet...
Zeelee-Vallen: WE DO NOT OWN NARUTO OR ANYTHING ELSE WE MAY USE! You'll know what I own. :D

XxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXx Hinata's POV XxXxXxXxXxXxXxx
"Hinata we're sending you to a foster home."
Pale empty orbs with a lavender tint locked on the figure standing in the doorway. His dissatisfied eyes roamed over her body, then around the unkept garage. This is where she slept, since she was the disgrace of the family. It was clustered and uncomfortable, even the maids got better that her. At least they got their own courters, with individual rooms. While she slept in a dog's bed, with no blanket. Why? Father wouldn't let her sleep in the backseat of one of the many vehicles. When she tried once, she was beaten bloody.
She tore her gaze from the figures feet, meeting with white hard emotionless eyes. Her heart pounded, before she quickly looked back down to her father's feet. She wasn't allowed to look him in the eye. He beat that lesson into her at a young age.
'Their sending me away..?' Hinata felt a shiver run up her spine, of what- she didn't know. Feelings were difficult to her. They tried to train her to be emotionless like them, but they could never achieve it. No Hyuuga could make her like them. Instead, they beat her for her quiet voice, and her gentle hands. She was the princess of their family, yet she was everything they hated. They were cold people, stoic, successful, and hard. That's why their company survived, at least, that's what they told her over and over.
Something hit the side of her head, making her wince. The object dropped, making her look to it. It was a bag with the Hyuuga symbol on it. "Hurry up and pack. They'll be coming to take you soon." Her father hissed. With one last look around the garage, he slammed the door shut. Hinata stared at the bag, her cracked lips parting slightly in surprise. Never before did her father give her something. It was her first gift from him! It made her chest warm up. After all, she was never allowed to wear anything that had the clan symbol on it before. Carefully she picked up the bag, eyes watering. Carefully, she cradled it to her chest.
Too bad it was the last time she was going to be a part of the Hyuuga family.
After all, she was a failure as an heiress, her younger sister Hanabi was much more suitable. She matched the roll better than herself. Hanabi was hard, stoic, and cold. A prodigy in her family, much like her cousin Neji. Although Hanabi held some kindness, it wasn't so much that she was seen as a hindrance like Hinata. She was the oddity of the whole family. She was the shy, kind, fragile.
And she liked it better that way. Hanabi was the one who deserved to be the heir. So no, she would not hold bitter feelings for her sister.
She just hoped her father didn't beat the teachings into her little sister, like he did to her. No, it was not likely. Hanabi was strong, talented.
Unlike Hinata. Although the teachings were engraved into her body's memory, she could not rid herself of the unnecessary feelings her father hated. She always cared too much about the little things. It was not something she could change.
'Your kind hearted-ness will be your downfall.' Her father's harsh voice rang in her ears. It was his most famous line to her.
Hinata sighed. There was no point in dwelling on it much longer. She was getting kicked out. She packed her few cloths, which consisted of two baggy tee-shirts and extra-large sweats into her bag. She didn't own much, what she did own was what Neji gave her after he outgrew it. But for the most part, her father through away anything anyone would give her. Her father said if she wanted anything, she had to win a martial arts tournament. She never did. She didn't even try participate in one.
She hated fighting. The thought of hurting someone else... sickened her. The flesh hitting flesh, the blood, the pain inflicted… She would rather take the beating given to her for not participating.

"This is the girl you no longer want in your home?" A strict looking lady with a tight bun on-top her head asked. Her emotionless purple eyes glared down at Hinata like she was scum. Hinata kept her eyes down, ready to take a hit. Those hateful eyes were something she was used to.
It was the same gaze her father used on her often, pure dissatisfaction and hate.
Hinata stared down at the lush carpet under their feet, not daring to look up. Lesson one: Never look directly into your elder's eyes, it was highly disrespectful.
"Yes, I know you usually only take homeless kids but she's a special case." Her father's tone was neutral, but had a dark undertone.
Hinata felt bile rise in her throat. He sold her. She knew his words meant he paid the woman off. 'It can't be any worse than it is here...' Hinata reminded herself, swallowing hard. The emotional beatings were worse than the physical beatings he gave her every day. The scars he left on her body were nothing compared to the scares on her mind. She fiddled with the edges of her long dark purple hair. Her fringe covered most of her face, hiding her odd eyes from everybody's view, even her family. She was well aware it made her look like a shaggy dog, but it made her feel comfy. Something that was very rare in her world.
"Yes, yes. Let us get going, child. We have a long drive and two of the kids are waiting in the van. Any longer and they will complain the whole way home." She touched Hinata's shoulder, shocking her with how gentle she was with her. Her hand was like a feather caressing her shoulder, it was so different from the harsh grip she grew to know. The lady led her toward the door. Despite her looks the woman had a gentleness she never knew. Then it clicked. Hinata was being led away from the daily beatings and mental abuse. No more would she suffer unknown trauma. All her fear, and her shyness, evaporated from her. An unknown feeling filled Hinata's small body. It was hot, so hot it felt like it was burning her. She needed to get it out as fast as possible. Her thoughts ran rapid, she felt her muscles tensing, wanting to be used. She swallowed hard and turned to face her father.
Hinata's long purple hair fanned out around her, her bangs moving to show her lavender touched eyes. For the first time in a long time, she could see clearly. She looked directly at her father, her head held high and proud, the fire controlling her thoughts. "I am no longer be your beating toy. One day, you will see how strong I truly am. Good bye, Father." Hinata turned, taking quick deliberate steps toward the door and her new life. The lady held the door open, her eyes alight with unknown emotions. Warmth welled in Hinata, making her eyes water.
Slowly, the fire within her burned away, leaving her with a grave realization. She just talked back to her father.
Hinata stepped into the light, feeling the sun beat down on her pale skin. The sun. Something she rarely ever saw... Due to being locked in the garage like a dog.
But no more.
XxXxXxXxXxXxxX
The door closed.
Hinata's legs got wobbly, her knees knocking together as she wrapped her arms around her torso. She felt like she was being torn up inside, the heat she felt previously had drained away, leaving her with her emotions doubling tenfold in its wake, along with dread.
But-
-she would not break now. Not after the amazing courage she just managed. A soft hand was placed on her shoulder, making Hinata look up, her long shaggy bangs fall away from her face. Tears spilled from her eyes, warm at first, but getting colder as they made their way down her cheeks. The lady gently smiled at her, making Hinata shy away.
The lady reached up and let her hair down, it cascaded around her like black silk. Her emotionless expression now replaced with a much softer one. The lady looked different. She looked younger, and a lot kinder. It reminded Hinata of the distant memories of her mother. The tears fell harder, but she fought to keep them back. It was a disgrace to cry.
"It's okay to cry. Your part of our family now, you no longer need to hold everything in." The lady said, a soft smile pulling at her lips. "My name is Kimi, and from this day forward I will be your mother, Hinata-chan." The word mother sent a hurricane of emotions tumbling through Hinata.
A sob racked her body, making her whole body shake. Kimi took Hinata into her arms, kissing the top of her head soothingly and petting her hair. The gentle touches made it worst. For as long as Hinata could remember she was living in a garage, harsh abuses inflicted onto her daily. Kimi's touches were completely unknown to her.

Kimi couldn't help but notice how thin and small the girl was for her age. Usually a sixteen year-old had more... meat on them. Don't get her wrong, she could feel Hinata's curves while she hugged her, but she felt to thin... Fragile for lack of words. Pointy bones poked into her, making her grow weary. The girl must have been so underfed.
The poor girl… Her heart yearned to sooth Hinata, to be able to comfort her. She held the girl tighter, trying to keep calm.
Kimi bit her bottom lip, holding back her tears as the small girl shook. She could feel the turmoil of emotions rolling off the girl.

He stared at the spot his daughter stood moments before, a small smile playing at his lips.
"In sorry, Hinata. But you need to get stronger, I don't know how to raise you... You're not like the rest of our family. You will be better off out there." He whispered to himself, closing his eyes.
He did his best to raise her, even if it was on the... rougher side. Hinata's mother died giving birth to her little sister, so she couldn't help him with being gentler toward the oldest child. He didn't know when to stop... After all, it was how he was raised. As a child he knew it was wrong, but now it was all he knew.
He wanted her to be the best heiress possible... But that was impossible if she refused to fight. So he sent her away. Hinabi would be learning to take over the name if Hinata didn't accomplish her task by the time she was 18. Which is win the famous Hyuuga tournament.
Even though he was sending her away, he would give her a chance.
And now, he felt like she could do it.
Moments she left out the door- her fighting spirit sparked. He would never admit it, but he was proud. Maybe she did have some Hyuuga spirit within her after all.
He chuckled slightly, she looked just like her mother.
XxXxXxXxXxXxXxX Kimi's POV xxxXxxxXxxxxX
"Hinata-chan, are you better?" Kimi held her an arm's length away, taking in the disheveled girl's appearance. Her long purple hair was frizzy and sticking up randomly. Her bangs covered her eyes, but she could still see the tear stains on her cheeks. Then there was her cloths. She wore a baggy sweater and a pair of loose sweat pants.
Kimi bit back a bark of laughter due to the sniffling girl, she was so adorable. Already, she was growing to love the girl. There was something special about her.
"Ye...Yes..." She girl whispered, her voice barely above a whisper. Kimi frowned. The girl went right back to being quiet after her little outburst. Well, it was a start.
"Let's get going, Hidan-kun and Itachi-kun are probably getting impatient." Kimi sighed, Hidan was never going to shut up about being left in the van with Itachi. The Uchiha wasn't popular among her kids, he was to quiet and distant, despite him coming to live with her five years ago.
While Hidan... Well, he just liked to complain.

Her whole body froze. She forgot she was going to live with strangers... She was so used to being alone, she didn't know how to react to people. The most human contact she ever had was when her sister Hanabi, or when her cousin Neji decided pay her a visit in the garage. But that was very seldom. So she didn't know how to act, or barely even talk for that matter.
Now here she was, going to live with a group of strangers.
A very small smile played at her lips.
Hinata couldn't help but hope she found a friend, she never had one before.
