She lives!

Sorry for the long, long absence, but the only explanation I have is that life happened, life and college that is.

Edit: Now marked as complete. Which coincides with my plan of finishing this before season 3 of Sherlock comes out.

Should you want to read something/have a prompt now would be a good time.

1. Winter

During winter's cold months Harry prefers to stay inside, warm and cuddle with Sherlock on the sofa - something which Sherlock would deny doing, much to John's amusement - watching the tele or read. He also enjoys touching Sherlock with his cold hands, or slipping his legs between Sherlock's under the covers to warm them up. At first, Sherlock would wince in surprise, then he came to accept it, even reaching out to warm Harry's hands and feet at times.

Winter for Sherlock is very dull. Crime rate is higher in Summer than Winter, which leaves Sherlock feeling anxious. So he turns to solving cold cases. Sometimes after Sherlock finally solves a case that kept him awake well into the night, he would slip into their bedroom to join Harry under the covers, making sure to take Harry's outstretched, cold hand between his.

Mornings are probably the most difficult part of the day, where staying in bed is such a temptation. Made much harder to resist when Harry can have breakfast made and magicked to them within seconds. Alas, Sherlock was never one to stay idle in bed. He kisses Harry's shoulder before heading to the bathroom, and on the way out Harry would smile tiredly at him before Harry heads in.

Still, Harry isn't there most of the time, something Sherlock is strangely grateful for - because he doesn't really fancy the idea of explaining magic to John or Mrs. Hudson, preferring to keep that a secret, and when John does drop by he has this small infuriating smile that says I-know-what-you-and-Harry-were-doing-last-night, worst of all he is usually right.

2. Spring

Spring is when Harry drags Sherlock out of the flat to enjoy the cool breeze and the budding flowers and tree leaves. Spring is also when the murder rate starts to pick up, relatively at least. Sherlock starts dragging John with him off to every remotely interesting crime scene, eager to be back in action after the long suffering in winter.

Spring is also when Sherlock starts spending more time with Teddy. Sherlock has taken a liking in helping Teddy (read: teach him) how to observe and deduce those around him. Harry is amused and happy by Sherlock's efforts and glad to help them by being the test subject.

Later on, Harry is proud of them both when Sherlock is proud of his successful endeavours with Teddy. In fact, Sherlock is proud enough that he insists that Teddy must meet John and Mrs. Hudson, smirking when Teddy deduces that John hasn't been home the night before and has been forced to wear the same clothes for two days.

Teddy cheerfully deduces that John was with a friend. Mary Morstan, John tells them later with a smile. Sherlock stops asking Teddy to analyse John because neither he nor Harry are ready for the talk yet.

3. Summer

Summer is the season Sherlock lives for. Everything is warm and almost everyone is sticky with sweat, but... But! The crime rate is at its highest, and even though the weather leaves much to be desired, Sherlock would gladly face the long hot days.

Summer is also when Sherlock feels the loneliest. With Harry gone taking Teddy with him to visit his friends and Teddy's grandmother and John busy preparing a wedding, Sherlock doesn't feel the same excitement about solving crimes the way he usually does. He spends two days aimlessly wandering in the flat, feeling sad and almost sorry for himself but then a serial killer case comes up and Sherlock puts these thoughts away (gradually deleting them from his hard drive).

Next week sees Sherlock relaxing in his empty bed, trying to fall sleep when Harry pops in all smiles and rushing Sherlock to get ready to "see real sport not that football rubbish." Sherlock nearly tells him off but Harry's giddy smile makes him swallow the disgusting potion Harry gives him. Half an hour later and they appear in a tent with a pop full of redheads chattering excitingly about the final world cup match.

4. Autumn

Forget about crimes and cold blooded murders, the wedding is this October and John seems to be slowly (rather rapidly but don't tell him that) losing his composure. Worrying about the smallest of things, worrying about why on earth would the lovely, brilliant Mary Morstan would agree to marry him when she could clearly do better.

At first, Sherlock watched amused then he started getting annoyed and finally he asked Harry to slip John something in his tea to calm him down. After seeing John's state for himself, Harry slips him a drop of Calming Draught in his morning tea. As John calmed down and thought about things he got more confident. That is what he like to think, what happened was after drinking the tea Mary called him and they talked for hours, afterwards he seemed to regain his confidence.

Despite having been spent months and months preparing for the wedding, it is a surprisingly a small affair. Only close friends and family were invited and Sherlock finally got to meet John's sister. The majority of the preparations were spent on the after-wedding party.

It featured John and Mary trying to out do each other with their silly dance moves while Sherlock watched on. Greg and Molly dancing quietly in a corner and sharing smiles. Then the time was for Sherlock to make a speech (a rather good one about how John and Mary were good for each other which of course entailed and embarrassing story about John before he met Mary where all in attendance laughed) before John and Mary went to cut the cake.

After the cake and the speech, Harry managed to pull a slightly tipsy Sherlock to the dance floor where they had shared small smiles of their own. For now they were happy and Sherlock forgot the itch to solve crimes. Although, come the following morning Sherlock would already start looking for new crimes, even if John would be gone for the honeymoon.
