Olivia POV
"Hi" he said in a low raspy tone.
"Hi" I smiled back.
"How are you?" he asked.
"I'm fine and you?" I asked
"I'm good now that I'm here" he smiled. I couldn't do this with him right now so I ignored the comment.
"Hey Karen & Jerry" I smiled to them.
"Hey Liv" they said in unison.
"Mommy my pwesents pwease" Noah smiled.
"Okay Ti-Ti will go get them."
"So what did you get for your birthday Noah?" karen asked him. He looked at me and I nodded before he responded.
"Um a lot" he smiled.
"Well wait till you see what we got you" Jerry smiled.
"Wat?" he asked.
"Look for yourself" Lizzie said as she came out with the first gift. Noah ripped the paper off and opened the box. It was a nice big family photo of Fitz, Jerry, Karen and Jackson.
"Now you can look at us everyday when we can't see you" Karen smiled.
"Otay" Noah arched one of his eyebrows.
"What do you say?" I asked him
"Tank you" he half smiled.
"Okay time for your last gift from your dad" Lizzie smiled.
"It's in my room" I said as we all walked down the hallway to my room.
Sitting in the middle of my floor was a black escalade mini truck.
"WOAH" Noah said as he hopped into the truck.
"Dis mine?" he asked.
"Yes! Do you like it?" Karen asked.
"Yea!" he smiled
"Tank You" he hugged Fitz
"No problem buddy, I hope you enjoy it"
"I will" Noah replied
"You can ride in it tomorrow" I said.
"Yay" Noah screamed.
"here why don't we take it into the garage" Lizzie suggested and Noah followed quickly behind her.
"Thanks for the presents, I'm sure he will love it. Well I know he will love it." I said.
Fitz and the kids stayed for a several hours.
Fitz POV
It was 1 in the morning and everyone had fallen asleep except Livy and I. There was no talking just silence. I didn't know what to say and neither did she. "We should talk about us Liv"
"What is there to talk about?" she responded dryly. "a lot of stuff, like do you ever want to be with me? Can we be a family? I love you Olivia and our son and I want to be with you" I pleaded. "We could only be together in a fantasy world, lets be real Fitzgerald you are the president, I was your mistress, we have an illegitimate child this will never work and you know it. There is no Vermont for us. Just leave it be, I am happy where I am now". She said.
"Livvy I know you, and I know you are not happy with your life as it is. You deserve a better life, and I will give you that life one day" I said determined. I gathered my coat and went down the hall to get the kids. "Come on guys we have to go" I gently shook them. "Right now? Im so tired" Karen groaned.
10 min later and I had gathered the kids. They said there goodbyes and walked out to the car. She was just standing there, I could tell she didn't want me to leave but she would never say that to my face.
Olivia POV
"well I guess this is goodbye for now" he said
"Yeah I guess so" I whispered. He walked over to me and wrapped me in his warm embrace. He smelled so good I wanted to stay like that forever, but I knew we couldn't. I pulled back and he bent down to kiss me, I wanted to say no, but his lips met mine and I couldn't stop my body from wanting more. After about what felt like forever he pulled back and smiled. "there is hope for Vermont" he said. With that he walked out of the room leaving me all alone with my thoughts.
