Review please! I'm so happy about how many people viewed my last story :)
Thank you! So much! I really appreciate it. It's nice when you review but it's enough if you just read the story
Bex collapsed, she couldn't believe what she had just seen. Tears threatened to form in her beautiful eyes but she furiously wiped them away.
Bex Baxter doesn't cry - not even when she's heartbroken. So slowly she picked her fallen frame off the floor. She hated Grant but even through her anger she knew she was lying. She loved him or had loved him.
And Liz? Her best friend since 7th grade. Why would she do something like that? She may not be able to force herself to stop loving Grant but she sure hated Liz. Liz Sutton had always been the sweet, innocent one. She wouldn't do something like that. But she had.
Grant had told Bex he loved her just moments before she had walked in on him and Liz kissing. She had wanted to surprise him; to do something nice for her long term boyfriend. She had been away on a mission so she had missed him deeply. Was it so much to ask for a kind, loving boyfriend who didn't cheat on her? Obviously it was.
Bex ran, she couldn't take it anymore - she was a spy, she should never have fallen in love. In a way it was kind of her fault. How could she have been so stupid? Her strides were strong, purposeful, to an outsider it would seem like she was certain of where she was heading, that she had somewhere she needed to be. But she wasn't and she didn't. She was lost; in every sense.
Yet still she continued walking, where to she wasn't sure at least not until she found herself outside her parent's home.
Her mum would understand, she'd probably want to kill Grant, but she would understand. Bex wanted her mother but she felt weak. A spy shouldn't need their mother. A twenty one year old women shouldn't need their mother. She should be independent.
But for once Bex Baxter wanted to be held in her mother's arms. To be reminded that she was human. To pretend that she was a little girl again; upset that she had fallen over. Even spies got to have that.
So she entered the house. And fell straight into her mother's awaiting arms. She cried until there were no tears left, until she felt asleep clutching to her mother. Grace Baxter held onto her heartbroken daughter, smoothed her hair from her face and kissed her forehead.
Rebecca Baxter had a mother who cared and in that moment that was all she needed. Grant may have cheated on her. Liz may have let her down. But that didn't matter at the moment.
It was just her and her mother.
And every girl knows that there's nothing greater than a mother's love.
I wrote this thinking about my mum; she's the best... And I know we all love our mothers so this is kind of a tribute to them and how AMAZING they are!
Love
