Making History

History in the making, this is it. I am gonna tell my girl. I have been watching her for two years. I mean I think she likes me. She and I always work so well together.

I spotted her by her locker and headed in her direction. "Hey Tor."

"Hey!" She said elongating the hellow that cute way she does.

"Can I ask you something?" I said not really knowing how to bring it up. I put on the most confidence I could to my body, and I gave her that smile I tend to give other girls, but I wanted her to know she meant more to me that they did.

"Yeah?" She said and I realized that I had been zoned out for a bit, trying to make myself look cool.

"Uh… Um" I stammered and she tilted her head watching me. "Never mind." I said I turned what the heck was I thinking.

"Yes." She said and I stopped mid stride. I turned to face her. She nodded and shrugged."

"What makes you think it's a yes or no question." I said amused by her assumption. Who cares if she had been right.

She shrugged and came closer. "Because, you couldn't ask me from across the foor, that meant it was personal."

"But it could have been any number of things." I said she laughed and came closer to me.

"But, I know what, I know what you want the question to be, and I know what the answer should be so why shouldn't I give it." She said then fell into step with me as we went off to class.

"Ain't that something? Tori I didn't know you were a psychic." I was loose now, not so uptight.

"I just know you." She said stopping right in front of my classroom door. What was that look in her eye? Did she want me to kiss her?

"Do you now?" I said easily. I mean this had to be a record for me. I wasn't tongue tied, I wasn't stuttering, I wasn't clamming up. I was just talking to my friend. I leaned forward. And took her lips with mine. "Go out with me."

She smiled and wrapped her arms around my shoulders. "you already have my answer" She answered. I laughed and kissed her on her forehead.

"This is historic." I said to her. See you later?

She nodded and I smiled all the way to my class.
