"SEIRIN HIGH SCHOOL ARE THIS YEAR'S WINTER CHAMPIONS!"

Cheering exploded across the gym. Tears flowed down every cheek of the Seirin team.

"WE DID IT!"

Every member rushed towards each other and hugged and screamed at each other in happiness. Through all their hard work, teamwork, and belief in one another, it led their miraculous and well-earned victory. Despite being the rookies of every team that participated in the Winter Cup and going against the toughest teams in all of Japan, they came out at the top, defeating the previous eternal winners, Rakuzan.

From behind, players from Rakuzan stood frozen, taking in their first defeat in a long time. Akashi couldn't believe it. "I've lost. It's the first time since the day I was born… so this is defeat…how cruel… There's an inexplicable pain in my chest. I don't know if I'll be able to maintain my composure until the line-up…"

The redhead looked towards the bluehead. "But…Because of that, I think… I'm glad I played basketball. And that…I was able to meet you…"

Heterochromatic and aquamarine eyes met. A gentle, sad smile appeared upon Akashi's lips. He extended a hand towards Kuroko. "It's your… no, it's your team's win. Congratulations."

Instead of taking the other's hand, the phantom player wrapped his arms around redhead. "Akashi-kun…"

"Kuroko…?" The captain of the Generation of Miracles didn't understand the other's actions. His confusion was only met with a beautiful smile.

Kuroko pulled slightly away and tiptoed. He pressed a soft kiss on the other's lips. A collection of loud gasps resonated throughout the stadium, but was ignored by the two.

"Akashi-kun…I've always loved you…" The bluehead whispered softly for the other to hear.

Immediately, the redhead wrapped his arms around the other and pulled him flush against his body. Shakily, he murmured into phantom's ear, "Me too… Me too… I have always loved you Tetsuya…"

Aquamarine orbs widened. He didn't expect his affections to be returned. He snuggled into his ex-captain's embrace and let the most angelic smile decorate his lips.

No more words were necessary to be expressed between the two. For them, everything fell into place perfectly. Words that have been bubbling underneath unexpressed finally found their way to the surface.

All around the stadium, pure shock was plastered across every person's face; even on the rest of the Generation of Miracles, yet inside, they knew this would happen eventually.

Each thought, "They have always loved each other haven't they…"

Kuroko looked up at Akashi. Pure love shined between their eyes. He pressed another soft kiss against the other's lips.

"Can we always keep this tradition?"

The redhead chuckled, "Of course because this is our tradition."

The tradition will continue forever! I hope you guys liked! :) Review! :)

Should I write how it began? ;)
