The Oncoming Storm

Pin drop silence enveloped the room. Nine, Rose and Past Jack were all staring at Ten with shock in their eyes, especially Nine who looked gobsmacked.

"Bad wolf…those words that we kept hearing. You're saying that that's me? But that's not possible. I'm just Rose…" Rose stated, her eyes staring at him in utter confusion and disbelief. What the future Doctor was saying…it seemed too insane and implausible. She wasn't the bad wolf. She would remember an event like that! One glance at the looks on her Doctor and Jack's face let her know that they were as surprised as her. Disbelief permeated inside her. Shaking her head she turned her eyes to observe the Future Doctor, whose kind gaze was full of sadness as he stared at her. She could tell that he clearly missed her future self.

"What-what the hell are you spouting pretty boy! Rose is human, if she was a walking source of energy I would have noticed by now. I surely would have noticed if she spread the words Bad Wolf around." Nine stated defensively as he glared at his future counterpart.

Ten, though, was not surprised at the disbelief as he ran his hand through his hair. He didn't have time for this, he needed to track down Rose and destroy those who took her from him. But he knew there is no way his past self would budge without an answer.

"Look we don't have time to waste. I need to find Rose. So the short version is this, sometime in your timeline you will be in trouble. Big trouble and you will send Rose away in the TARDIS activating emergency program one to protect her."

"You WHAT!" Rose threw a glare at her Doctor. She didn't like the sound of that. She doesn't want to ever leave him, especially in a fatal situation so to hear something like that, didn't surprise her but she was furious. She hit his leather clad arm but he simply took it.

Ten smiled fondly when he noticed that.

"But our Rose is very stubborn. She wouldn't stay safe even. To cut it short, she opened the heart of TARDIS and looked inside it. The TARDIS and she became one, became Bad Wolf and she drove the TARDIS to save us. Seeing that, absorbing that many huon particles left part on her. It changed her DNA, now essentially she is a walking time vortex, her lifespan tied to the TARDIS itself. She has the same abilities as the TARDIS in humanoid form." Ten dropped the bomb as he looked at them.

They looked absolutely flabbergasted. Rose's eyes were comically wide, while Nine and Past Jack were both staring at Rose in shock and surprise. Ten simply stared at her with adoration that made her blush.

"You always surprise me, it's a stubborn streak that can be a gift and a curse. Though that time it certainly was a good surprise."

Nine then shook his head and looked at Ten, one question burning through him.

"When you say that Rose's lifespan is tied to the TARDIS…do you mean…?" Nine didn't finish the words but he trailed. Past Jack seemed to have seen where he was going for he finished the sentence.

"Has Rose stopped aging?" he asked, excitement in his eyes.

"Our time hasn't been linear to the year we are right now. It's been 40 years since Rose was 19." Ten dropped that bomb as he watched Past Jack, Rose and Nine look at him with shock.

"What!" more shocked screams echoed the room. They had even more questions brimming but Ten didn't have time for that. He had to find his bride. So without engaging them with further answers, Ten simply shook his head and started walking, heading to where his TARDIS was. He needed to find Rose. His bond might be weaker to track, he guessed that some bond blocker was in place. But TARDIS should be able to track Rose, their bond were immensely strong due to Bad Wolf.

He could feel his past self, Rose and both Jacks following him but he didn't mind. He needed to find Rose. It was when he caught the knob of the TARDIS door did something happen that left his hearts cold. The bond, the bond which had been telling him about Rose, which had been weak anyway…suddenly snapped and his mind was fully empty. Cold.

Horror filled his senses. There was only one way that the bond could fully break, as far as he was aware off. And he didn't want it to be true.

He let out an enraged scream.
