"What is the matter my little blood orange?" Dracula asked his daughter.
Mavis sighed trying to muffle her yawn. She was in the dining room waiting for Johnny to arrive for dinner. Her Dad decided join her wanting to spend time with her. She would have enjoyed her Dad's company if it weren't for that nagging feeling she had in the pit of her stomach. She just wasn't too keen on knowing Johnny was supposed to spend most of his time with Sasha.
It wasn't the fact that Johnny might do something, she trusted him enough to know that he wouldn't. Right?
She immediately shook that thought away. Johnny would never do anything especially with Sasha! The thought was just ridiculous!
He was just alone with Sasha mostly half of the day. Alone with Sasha… who was also very pretty… actually prettier than her. Not to mention likes to wear very tight clothing… All alone…with Johnny…
"Mavis!"
"What!" She shouted dragging her thoughts away.
Dracula sat studying his daughter's disheveled look, she rarely did not pay attention especially when he was talking. "What is the matter Mavy Wavy? You've been day dreaming this whole time."
"Oh I'm sorry Dad." She sighed, "Guess I've been out of it today."
Dracula smirked, "You've been out of it ever since Sasha came back."
"What! No!" Mavis sputtered crossing her arms.
They both knew that Drac knew her to well. He knew every time she stuttered and crossed her arms with that pouting look on her face that something was bothering her.
He also knew she couldn't hold it any longer.
"Okay!" She sputtered, "Yeah it's all because of Sasha!"
Dracula smiled weakly patting his daughter's shoulder. "I know darling but you have to remember that Sasha is here only to help Johnny."
"Yeah I know but sometimes-"
Mavis cut her sentence off when she noticed the knights opening the dining room doors. Johnny stood happily smiling beside a smudged looking Sasha, who was wearing very tight clothing.
Something deep inside Mavis ached until Johnny ran towards her.
"I was so awesome today Mavis!" He shouted happily.
"Yes he did very well." Sasha purred.
"Did he now?" Mavis hummed wrapping her arms around Johnny, making sure Sasha was looking.
"Yeah! I was like the freakin boss!" Johnny jumped up immediately crashing Dracula into his embrace. Dracula grunted, still not used to Johnny's super strength. Though Johnny didn't seem to notice, and kept holding his embrace adoringly till Drac threw him across the room.
He landed in a loud crash which pleased Drac, Mavis sighed, and only Sasha held a straight face.
"Dracula," Sasha purred.
Dracula dragged his attention away towards her. Sasha stood smiling politely, making sure everyone was looking at her. "I was hoping if I could join the three of you for dinner tonight." Her violets seemed to gleam brighter as she purred the rest of her words. "The other guests have been very gracious but I wouldn't mind spending time with my dear cousin." She dragged her gleaming eyes towards Mavis.
Mavis tried hard not to roll her eyes.
"Yeah sure!" Johnny's voice was slightly muffled trying to untangle him - self from the mess he was in, in the back corner.
Dracula saw his daughter's expression immediately knowing he had to take control of the situation. "Actually I'm not staying for dinner."
"You're not?" Mavis asked confused.
"No," Drac smiled, "I was hoping to spend some time with my niece."
Sasha's gleaming expression changed to confusion as she processed his words. "Oh but-"
"-Come now Sasha let's have dinner with the rest of the monsters!"
Before Sasha could say anything else, Dracula already dragged her away from the dining room floor.
Mavis stared back; she had to thank her Dad later for turning Sasha away. For now it was just her and Johnny, it had been awhile since they ever got any quality time together. Not ever since Sasha's been around.
She tried not thinking about it, instead dragging her attention towards Johnny who managed to get himself free from the mess he made. He sat across from her smiling proudly taking his fork in his hand.
She smiled back remembering why they were here. All to help Johnny the boy she loved dearly.
"What?" He asked scuffing down the rest of his food.
Mavis sighed happily, "What?"
"You're looking at me funny."
Mavis rolled her eyes, "That's because you have a funny face."
"I actually, have been told that I have a very sexy face."
"Oh yeah that's a funny way of saying it."
"Ugh you see Mavis too sexiness doesn't make a right."
She laughed flickering her food towards him, "Whatever."
Her food landed on his nose, he brushed it looking at her challenging. "Are you trying to start a food fight with me?"
Mavis smiled mischievously before flicking another piece of her food. "Maybe,"
That was all Johnny needed to hear grabbing his plate.
A couple hours later, after a long battle, getting lectured by the knights who had to clean the dinner room, after a long conversation with Dracula, and after being yelled at by Quasimondo, Mavis and Johnny soon retired after a long bath into snuggling against each other under the covers. Johnny snuggled closer to her resting his head sleepily against her. "I love you," He muttered before he drifted off to sleep.
Mavis smiled snuggling closer to him.
Sasha didn't have a chance.
