Author note: So everyone this is the end. I want to thank every person who made this story a favorite or follow and for reviewing. I'd also like to thank those who decided to favorite and follow me as a author.

This the longest story I've written to date. I'm happy and sad; Happy to have finished but sad that it took me so much longer than I had originally planned. I had hoped to be done this and the next storyline, which is also an episode, so as to start on an original story. Ahhh, life happens. Now onto the mini-episode.

Oh yeah this has not yet been beta'd.

Chapter Twenty-Two: Wilted Rose, Blooming Rose

The Doctor's blue eyes reflected sadness and awe seeing what changes the regeneration process had on Rose. For standing in front of him trying to catch her breath was not the same teenaged girl who, he had met in the basement of Henricks. Now stood a young woman a few centimeters shorter, with long wavy honey blonde hair that reached her lower back, wide spectacular blue eyes which were set on a more angular face. Next to him the Doctor saw Jack and Lynda staring dumbfounded at the sight and he'd heard the man's gasp of appreciation.

The Doctor's mind reviewed the most recent events which occurred; from Rose returning, realizing she'd absorbed the time vortex, to Bad Wolf bring back Jack, to the Bad Wolf Rose expelling the gold vortex back into the TARDIS, and last Rose Tyler, minus the Bad Wolf influence, had spoken High Gallifreyan in his ear; all of that happened right before Jack and Lynda appearing.

It had been fantastic but… How? Why? His most pressing quandary though, which defied all his training and study in the Time Lord Academy; the Doctor could not explain how the Vortex energy had been able to change one species into another. It was truly impossible.

"Oh, blimey tha..." Rose's Powell Estate cockney accent had been replaced by a light lilting upper London, reflexively she clamped a hand over her mouth. She looked up and over to the trio, her now blue eyes wide in surprise.

Even with the Doctor's explanation, Lynda had trouble grasping the notion that there were beings able to change their appearance so drastically. "Um... Doctor, Where did Rose go?"

The trio watched as Rose twisted and turned, like a little puppy chasing its tail, looking herself over. She ran hands thru her hair, tracing down her face, taking in the changes. She skimmed long delicate fingers along each arm, before traveling beyond to her upper torso from breasts downwards to abdomen.

Rose grinned foolishly for a moment until she caught Lynda's tremulous question. "Oi... I'm right here." Rose cried, glowering across the chamber.

"Anyway Doctor. How do I look? I mean obviously, my hair is now a genuine blonde, and anyway I kinda like how my voice sounds. Come on." Rose enthusiastically inquired, her expression instantly turning back to eagerness, bouncing and twirling on the balls of her feet dismissing Lynda's worry.

The Doctor normally not one to be tongue tied, had difficulty articulating just what he thought. His large Time Lord brain teemed with many differing impressions, "Um... Different."

"Really Doc. That's all you can come up with. Different!" Jack teased. The blue eyed ex-time agent aimed his most charming smile on Rose. His view of the young woman, not changing an iota, to him she was as pretty as ever.

"But is different a good or bad thing?" Frowned Rose as she pressed for a better answer.

"You look absolutely marvelous, Rose." Jack raved, striding to the petite woman. He embraced her fully in an effort to prove his point.

The Doctor reflexively looked away his jaw clenched tightly, though it wasn't only because Jack exuded an air of wrongness about him but now the man's... well any man's close proximity to Rose set the Time Lord's teeth on edge and would continue to do so as long as their bond remained incomplete. The Doctor experienced a rush of unease that came from Rose as he felt her flinch at their friend's unnatural presence. "Well appearance aside. I think we should give Rose a once over in medical before we head anywhere. Oh, and Lynda looks to need a bit of repair too."

Rose sprang at the Doctor's suggestion backing away from Jack indignantly, but inwardly glad for the excuse so as not to hurt her friend's feelings. "Oh... No no no no we're not. I'm fine... We're fine. I think we should go to Barcelona. I remember you saying you were gonna take us there before we landed in 1336 Japan and that it was a fantastic planet beach resort. And I really want to go to this fantastic... No. A Fantabulous beach planet Barcelona."

Rose went to the console and flipped the nearest switch, followed by pressing a button, then turning a knob. She raced around to other side pulling a lever, and flicking a switch before hitting a large toggle it was the usual dance to set the TARDIS on course.

The TARDIS shudder violently as her thieves' love and her wolf piloted the time-space ship through the vortex. Everyone but Rose jolted off balance, she laughed in delight grinning with her tongue impishly sticking out at the corner, a remnant from the new Time Lady's previous incarnation.

"Ahhh... Doctor make her stop." Lynda shrieked in fright and pain, as she held onto a coral pillar to keep from careening around the interior of the TARDIS.

The Doctor pulled himself up, after being tossed lopsided onto the jump seat. He saw the grin and would have been more elated at the simple gesture which had remained, following her unexpected regeneration, but he knew from experience that Rose's personality wouldn't continue to be the same. As if to confirm him right Rose's now blue eyes shone with a silver-gold glow.

"Oh wait a minute, Mum and Mickey. I'm sure they'd like to go and I have so much to tell them... Well, show would be more precise." Rose giggled giving the Doctor a wink. "Won't she be surprised?"

The Doctor swallowed, his cheeks heated, tingled and throbbed in present and remembered pain. He had no doubt that Rose's Mum would be anything but overjoyed by the fact that her only child had transformed into a new person. She would expect an explanation for which the Doctor had none. "Rose, I don't think that's a good idea at this moment."

"Oh, Doc don't be so grumpy. I'm sure Mickey and Rose's mum would want a little trip." Jack said straightening.

It was clear to the Doctor that Jack did not understand the problem with 21st Century humans seeing the altered Rose Tyler. The ex-con-man's obtuseness had the Time Lord even more determined, to not deal with Jackie, he began correcting the TARDIS' course which had the results of the time-space ship giving a massive groan and the grated floor heaving wildly, sparks flew from the console and ceiling.

"Jack, I highly doubt Jackie's going to be happy to find out that her daughter's not quite herself anymore." The Doctor remonstrated, as he clung onto the console.

"Oi... Mum's not prejudice." Rose cried out aggravated. Her eyes flashed silver-gold once again, as she pressed and flicked switches to override the Doctor's corrections. She huffed, barely able to keep ahead of the Doctor, a silver-gold mist emerged from her parted lips.

"Oh, no, no, no. That's very not good." Exclaimed, the Doctor at the sight. A panicked look came over the Doctor's face.

Watching the mist disappear while drifting up to the vaulted ceiling and hearing the Doctor's concerned voice had Jack frowning. He stumbled against the motion of the TARDIS' turbulent flight in the direction of the petite woman. "What's not good, Doc? What's wrong with Rose?" Jack strained to maintain a calm exterior.

"What it means Jack is that Rose's regeneration has gone a bit wrong." The Doctor shouted, hoping he would get through to Rose, so she'd stop avoiding going to medical and leave the TARDIS' console alone. His anxiety went up further, when the time tots presence went quiet, not gone but not as active like before.

Rose's eyes widen in manic fright before narrowing, the two men appeared to be trying to corner her. Her mind was jumbled and Rose vaguely knew her actions were erratic and scaring everyone but she couldn't seem to gain control long enough to allow the Doctor to help.

Rose's moment of clarity vanished when she spotted a previously unknown lever. "Ahhh. Doctor, I've never seen you use this one. Let's see what it can do shall we." She called over, pulling the lever down with enthusiasm.

The reaction was instantaneous, the TARDIS gave a wheezing rumble, shaking and recoiling like the worst unbroken horse, so violently that everyone went sprawling.

Lynda shrieked landing on the grated floor so hard her dislocated shoulder painfully snapped back into place causing the blonde woman to momentarily black out.

Jack unable to change his trajectory went over the side of platform. His collision with the floor below was such that his neck seemed to be at an odd angle.

The Doctor crashed once again into the jump seat. He grunted in further pain as Rose tumbled down onto him. He didn't mind though as it protected Rose and the time tots.

The time-space ship sped ever faster back to Earth, programmed to arrive Christmas Eve of 2006.

The End.

Author note: Well that's it for this story, but don't worry next is 'Christmas Invasion' which I renamed 'A Christmas Tangled'. Oh and the actress that I fashioned the Rose's second incarnation is Imogen Poots. Bye for now.
