I clutched her to my body, as her glow started to slowly ebb away.

I wasn't expecting the end to be coming so soon.

"…With a thousand sweet kisses…" I murmured in her ear, my voice wavering with sadness, not matter how hard I tried to keep it together.

"…I'll Cover you…" Angel whispered her voice strained, as she weakly clutched my hand.

Her breathing labored, as she laid against me, my tears staining her hospital gown.

"Collins…" She whispered my name, her grip on my hand weaker.

"Yes, Angelcake?" I sadly chuckled, knowing it was near the end.

"Don't forget me." Angel said with a smile, as she sighed, and her hand fell from mine.

I cried as I hugged her still warm body.
