I never planned on writing another chapter, but you guys are still asking for one after a year, and I think it would be a jerk move not to deliver. Thanks for all your support!

Chapter 2- Minions

Now, ever self-respecting villain has at least a handful of minions, pyons, henchmen- whatever you want to call them.

Some had a whole army of them, and some had only an Igor or two wandering aimlessly about the laboratory, to pull switches for them.

Minions varied in type, as well. An army of the undead, a hapless pair of dimwitted thugs, a merry band of mortals, a pantheon of minor deities- some were frightening, others cute, some ugly, others beautiful, some mortal, some divine, and some demonic.

There was no end to the variety, and Jellal thought that was pretty awesome.

Creativity, he mused, was quite possibly the most powerful weapon in the magical world. With a little power, and a little thought, one could do anything.

He blinked innocently up at the Fairy Tail symbol on the sign above him, adjusted the box of crayons tucked under his arm, and made for the 'hidden' table at the back of the guild building, the one accidentally wedged between the bar and the back wall.

Jellal smirked from his spot under the table, fingers twitching as he cast layers of spells on each individual crayon in the 48-pack, imbuing each one with a different magical ability, appearance, and personality. He sent the first 12 fairies, Indigo, Violet, Black, White, Pink, Scarlet, Red Orange, Yellow Orange, Orange, Yellow Green, Evergreen, and Lavender out all at once, and released the other 36 one at a time to keep people guessing on the actual number of fairies. Some had tails, some didn't, but all had butterfly wings in the color of their name, pretty dresses in the same color, and just enough magic and sentience to cause trouble.

Lots of trouble.

Jellal set the pirate hat on his head, squared his shoulders, rolled out a map on the floor, and began his conquest of Magnolia.

Lavender considered herself a particularly clever fairy, often dodging the obvious traps her sisters fell for. The little bit of magic Jellal-sama had given her to use had morphed with her, taking form as Illusion magic, and she knew very well how just a bit of blurry vision or a missed object could suit her purposes better than a fireball. (Scarlet was much too much like an actual dragon for her liking.)

She made people trip over nothing, startled them with non-existent spiders, and bent the shadows just so around her lord to hide him from chancing glances.

So when the giggling child with the bell jar leapt at her, she fluttered straight up out of reach rather than trying to outrun the child. Asuka pouted, but put the jar down on the table and wandered off again.

Lavender fluttered back down towards her, a tinkling and a sparkle of purple drawing the child back to her. Asuka 'ooh'ed excitedly, holding out cupped hands for the fairy to land in.

Lavender led her on a merry chase, playing with her out in the garden and taking delight in doing so, bidding her sisters to keep to their tasks. They did so, Lavender's firm tone stirring them to Jellal's will.

Jellal hummed a tune under his breath, something suspiciously piratey, before he slowly transformed it into something... Indiana Jones, perhaps.

His lips turned up at the corners.

Wendhy let out a startled shriek, diving out of the way of the sharpened candy-cane launched from the wall, eyes wide. Bisca blasted it out of the air with her rifle, scowling.

An ominous rumble sounded somewhere above them, and Natsu's yelling could be heard as the massive boulder rolled through the hallways, gaining speed as it hurtled after the fleeing dragon slayer.

A trench of pungee-stakes (that were actually really big, really sharp crayons) outside the doors kept people from escaping that way, and a layer of powdered sugar began to build on the wooden floor.

Master Makarov just laughed, safe above the mess with his tankard in hand.

Lucy headed straight into the epicenter when she arrived, dodging catpulted chickens and lollipop-shuriken on her way to Jellal's favorite table.

In the background, Erza was engaged in mortal combat with a group of waist-high Ninja Bread Men, crumbs flying everywhere.

She was soon distracted, however, as one of her cakes came to life, growing to the size of a small house and roaring viciously as it opened its sugary maw.

The gleam in her eyes was more than a little worrisome.

Lucy hurried, hitting the floor in a baseball slide to shoot under the bench, bumping against Jellal's back.

"There you are!" she sighed in relief. Her expression darkened. "You have some explaining to do."

Lucy laughed madly, every inch the pirate queen as she and Jellal fended off guild members with suspiciously strawberry-scented cutlasses. Both in costume (courtesty of Virgo) they danced across the deck of their 'ship', a twisted amalgamation of candy and crayons, the deck made of the boards of Jellal's table, defending against the all-too-enthusiastic Fairy Tail mob.

In a moment of theatrical genius, Jellal bounded across the deck, swinging up into the rigging. Lucy followed with a taunting cry, both hurrying up towards the crow's nest as the ship was swarmed.

"Fairies, to me!" he roared, and that was when things went very, very bad.

The swarm of crayons-turned fairies coalesced above the ship, raining down magical attacks as they set upon the flabbergasted guild members.

Lucy roared with laughter, and Laxus' own mad cackle could be heard several floors above as he enjoyed watching the idiots he lived with get their asses handed to them by a bunch of little, sparkly creatures in tutus.

"Can I keep them?" wondered Jellal, watching the furious battle.

"You might have to," Lucy agreed. "You brought them to life, didn't you? That means getting rid of them would be like killing them."

Jellal hummed.

"...And I like being called Lucy-hime by an army of minions," she admitted.

"Tha's more like it!" Jellal chirped. "We'll make a villain out o' ye yet!"
