I know, its very late, but I haven't forgotten this fic! My exams are going on, so maybe this chapter would make for it? J
Hikaru and Tsubasa, trapped under the heavy lid of the coffin, for some reason unknown to thier innocent minds. As hard as they tryed to push the coffin lid, and try to get out, the more they were losing hope. Both of them sighed...
"Hyouma!" Madoka cried. Even though he had tried to kill her before, but what was friendship if she'd think of revenge in such a stuation? Hyouma, who fell to his knees the instant he saw the torch, was breathing heavily, breathing in short gasps. His immature vampire teeth could be seen, glinting in the dim light.
Everyone was concerned about him. By what it seemed like, he was hyperventilating, his condition could turn worse and possibly lead to death. Kyoya as usual with the cocky behavior of his, blamed it all on Ginga instead of doing something himself, "Way to go Hamburgers!". That resulted in a rage war between the two. The only one sensible enough was Madoka. She quickly rushed to his aid, not sure of what she could do, but the atmosphere was getting very tense.
Batie was lying on the floor, in a worse situation than Hyouma. He was almost dead, that crazy vampire aura of his diminishing. Madoka knew that there was very little she could do for Hyouma, but she knew someone who could help. That silver haired eagle-weilder lying in that coffin.
She called out to the two boys fighting "Quit that already! You guys should be ashamed! Go and lift that coffin lid! At least help them out!"
The two adolescent kids ran to the coffin, trapping their fingers under the coffin lid, they lifted, designed to be lighter from the outside, it was lighter than they had expected. Tsubasa and Hikaru uncurled and got out of the coffin. Stretching her short chubby arms above her head, she sighed and said
"It was too tiring! My legs hurt! Where is that dumb old vampire?!"
Madoka turned to her and said "Shhh… Hikaru, Hyouma is not feeling well! Batie is dead!". Hikaru reached Hyouma, concerned. But the person who could really do something was Tsubasa. So he was called near Hyoma.
Tsubasa hurried towards Hyouma, who had almost collapsed, his eyes closed. "We should hurry and get him out of here, the claustrophobic atmosphere is suffocating him!" He said. With the word 'claustrophobic' going directly over their heads, Ginga and Kyoya lifted their friend, who had almost turned into a vampire.
Just as they were about the get out from the vampires den, out to the open sunlight, Hikarus quick thinking saved hyoma as she suggested that he should be covered before going out into the open sun. He had after all, turned half into a vampire.
Madoka brought Batie's cloak who was lying on the ground, his vampire soul dissipating. They covered him with that. Out in the open field, they laid him down on the dry grass, he stirred, his face slowly turning yellow.
Everyone had one question in their mind, how do we save a vampire without killing him? The answer was unknown to everyone. Until Ginga remembered, that old lady who had advised them not to play here, maybe she could do something?
Tsubasa, Ginga and Hikaru set out to find that lady, while Madoka and Kyoya stayed behind.
Kyoya switched back from his rebellious to more sensible self, since he was the only person who would save Madoka …and Hyoma from the dangers of the wild. Kyoya and Madoka diverted their attention towards Hyouma who spoke in an almost inaudible voice, "You two, get away from me. Its no use, your last blow at fate was when you killed that other vampire. I am what I am. No stopping me now."
Both friends looked at eachother raising an eyebrow. After a few minutes of this confession, they came to a conclusion that along with being a vampire, Hyoma had also lost all sanity. Madoka spoke up first, deciding that atleast trying wouldn't hurt, "Hyoma, don't lose hope. We're going to save you."
Hyoma made an attempt to huff, but it came out as a cough.
Hours passed by, with no sign of either of the three who had set out to find the lady. Hyoma had recovered really well, and was able to sit upright. The sun was beginning to set down. Leaving red streaks across the sky.
Kyoya made an attempt to lighten the mood, commenting on Hyoma's recovering skills, "You recover like a dog Hyoma!" to which both madoka and Hyoma sweat-dropped. The silence between them was really unbearable.
Hyoma looked very different, Madoka noticed. He looked a lot more mature, that friendly face had transformed into something very much cold and nocturnal. His teeth glinting in the moonlight, purple hair blowing in the light breeze. Even though he was calm, but something looked menacing about his look.
Madoka was very much uncomfortable, sitting with the same friend she used to spend most of her day with. He looked like one of those incredibly rich bratty boys who didn't care about about anything.
A while later, three shadows could be seen, inching closer. The long awaited moment had come. Ginga, Hikaru and Tsubasa finally came.
The looks they got from Madoka and Kyoya were thirsty for answers. Tsubasa spoke up,"We found her. She said that, there is…no turning back"
"What do you mean?" Both said in unison. Tsubasa, looking straight into the eyes of Hyoma, said "I mean, hes a vampire now, hes gotta live this way. He would need blood"
Sharp intakes of breath dominated the silence, urging Tsubasa to explain further "Here's the pseudo blood she gave you to take."
"I won't. Pseudo blood. I want higher class blood" He said.
Annoyed, Kyoya voiced out his thoughts, "Come Hyoma, we are trying to save your life here. Don't act like you've been a vampire all your life."
"I have been" Hyoma said, followed by a vampire grin of his, revealing his fangs.
