Twenty year old Harry Silvermoon nee Potter stood against the rail of his ship the Avenger and looked out across the void at his mother's ship as she turned and fired a barrage of ballistae's at the advancing Neogi Death Spiders. On his left shoulder sat his familiar Falkner, a pseudo dragon that he rescued several years ago on Oerth when they took out a smuggling ship. On his right shoulder, sat a dainty looking fairy dragoon named Glispa, her golden butterfly wings slightly fanning her back and his neck. They were approaching one of the Death Spiders at full speed, the ships three prongs of the squidship razor sharp. They were aiming to ram into the side of the Death Spider that was trying to flank his mother's ship. With a loud crash the three prongs dug deeply into the enemy ship. The central prong of the trident killing ram killed the slave on the death helm and destroying the helm while the other two points killed the Umber Hulk guards. Within seconds the crew was boarding the ship while the two catapults hurled dwarven fire at the third which smashed into the filled deck of slaves and Umber Hulks. The dwarven fire similar to Greek fire from Earth erupted into flame and spread over the crew killing them as it burned whatever it touched. Harry and his mother had been heading for Greyhawk and a town on the coast of the Sea of Gearnat to deliver a large load of weapons for the town guards to fight off slavers that had been raiding the villages and towns along the coast and carrying off the people who lived there.
Casting several spells from his staff, which caused spikes to erupt from the decks of the Death Spider he was facing, killing a third of the attackers before they knew it. A second volley dropped reversed bubblehead charms on four Umber Hulks, killing them as they tried to figure out why they couldn't get oxygen but instead received the void of space which killed them in moments, as if they had fallen off their ships.
Arrows, bolts and the occasional Wheelock's from the Griffs weapons ripped through the mob trying to attack the Avenger along the three rams. They were picked off as they ran the length of the ten meter long prongs to get to the ship while Harry picked off any of the Umber Hulks he saw but most important was the Neogi's who commanded them. Heavy fire poured into the two ships he was taking on and then an explosion off his portside caused him to glance at the Death Spider they had firebombed and only the broken hulk of the ship was left as it burned. A quick glance showed his mother's ship - the Blackwood - had rammed its whale head into the front of the one attacking her and shattered the entire bow due to the runes that Harry had carved on the bow a few years before that basically made it invulnerable and increased its damage potential due to changing the texture of the wood to rock-like density.
Before anyone realized it the enemy was in full retreat and Harry led his marines over and across with eight Mountain Dwarves and Giffs backing him up. The Dwarves were wielding their axes and the Giffs had their glaive's as they closed, with Harry bringing up the rear tossing magic missiles left and right. He was glad he insisted that Yvonne stay back at the Rock on this mission so he didn't have to worry about her. Seeing a Neogi skirting along the railing and heading for him, he tossed a lightning bolt at it and blew it off the side of the ship and into the void. Five minutes later the last of the Umber Hulks, Neogi and the controlled slaves were put to the sword and he looked over at his mother's ship and saw that the crew was cheering his mother.
The sacking of the three ships would take most of the rest of the day and in all they rescued thirty-one slaves that were split between the two ships. Documents were found that they were set up to be captured by several of the council in the town they were going to and the weapons and armor they were carrying diverted to others who would then sack the city, and carry off the civilian populations. The Neogi were offered an additional two hundred slaves out of the town that was to be sacked. Both Jalyla and Harry were pissed and planned to bringing it to the attention of Lord Elledd who had put the orders through to arm his warriors. Their next stop was the city of Elledd and so with repairs being conducted as they traveled, they left the Death Spiders burning and their helms smashed behind them.
It would be a two week sailing voyage to get to Elledd, and during that time all the repairs were completed with the help of Harry using the repario charm on the hull damages. Nine of the ship's two crews had been injured but only three killed on the Blackwood when a catapult boulder had hit the ship.

Elledd had paid well, and the two crews had enjoyed a two week rest. While in one of the taverns they had overheard a group of the guards talking about an old fort and supposedly it was filled with treasure and monsters. Harry with his mother's permission and with eight of the dwarven marines and two of the griffs had set out to check the fort out. Over a five day period they explored the ruins of the keep and an underground lair filled with evil cultists who were kidnapping humans and demi-humans from the surrounding area. The haul of treasure was nice which included several potions that were identified later as a potion of fire resistance, potion of invisibility, a potion of speed, oil of slipperiness, and a potion of healing. Four magical rings were added to the ships stores. They were identified by his mother as a ring of spell storing, ring of minor protection, an elven ring of protection, and a ring of shooting stars. Those along with a cloak that had the same crest as the ring minor protection were added to Harry's share. Four magical weapons were picked up, a nicely made mace that was given to his mother, and a jeweled dagger worth easily a 1000 gold but seemed to cause blood damage when you hit an Orc was given to the head of the marine detachment as it was Dwarven made, a second dagger that was silver and gem encrusted was identified and seemed to call to want to attack magic-users and enchanted creatures. It had a silver pearl of wisdom on the handle as well. Harry later gave the dagger to his wife Yvonne. There had been several scrolls that were added to the library which his mother looked at and identified the spells on them. They were a scroll of protection from petrifaction, another magical scroll which had a single spell of invisibility on it. Two stones were found, a stone of diminution, and a luckstone while a pair of bracers of defense. Gauntlets that made one more nimble (dexterity) as well as some magical suits of leather armor (plus 1) were given to crewmembers that could fit in them. Several thousand gold, silver, electrum and copper pieces, and a large bag of assorted gems were recovered as well and added to the ships coffers.

On earth the New Year at Hogwarts rolled around and the ministry, in their great thinking, deployed over one hundred Dementors to guard the school because of Sirius Black escaping the inescapable prison known as Azkaban. He had been heard saying that he was at Hogwarts. In their mind they were thinking Harry Potter was there under disguise and they would be checking the entire male third years to see if they were under enchantment. Once more, Dumbledore was trying to find his missing weapon and with the help of Misstep who thought he was getting closer to retrieving the brat. He was also furious that Black had escaped. He wasn't sure how he did it but once he was caught he would make sure Sirius received the Kiss which would remove him from helping the brat when he was recovered. The New Year would be very hectic with Sirius Black on the loose, Dementors around the school. A third year using time magic while another suffered because no one would let him copy their homework to another third year acting like he owned the school and causing problems, a teacher transforming every month on the full moon while another plotted his outage at the end of the year as his master ordered. The only good thing the students could think of is for the first time in their lives they had a competent teacher for Defense against the Dark Arts.
It had taken a year but Sirius had finally caught the Rat. With his best friend Remus, that had the rat trapped in a cage on the full moon and the next day Remus would deliver the rat to Amelia Bones, head of the DMLE. Hopefully it would clear his name and then he could look for his missing godson.
The end of the year saw massive changes in the world. Sirius was declared innocent when Amelia revealed that Peter was alive in front of a Wizengamot trial. Dumbledore wasn't at the trials because he had to be in Geneva for a meeting on the Tri-Wiz-Tournament that was to be hosted during the next school year. When he returned to the castle he was not a happy camper as Sirus Black was found not guilty and Peter Pettigrew was and thrown through the Veil of Death when it was learned that he was responsible for the deaths of the McKinnons, Bones, and the Potters as well as the twelve muggles. Sirius had immediately gone for custody of his godson and started demanding answers on his location. Backed by the Longbottoms and the Bones it was quickly granted and transfer of magical guardian from Dumbledore to Sirius. Fudge was on shaky ground and was being watched for anything that could call for his dismissal as he tried to have the trials stopped and Sirius kissed. No one knew but he was being paid to do so because Lucius Malfoy wanted his son to be declared the Lord Black.
As July 31st came around Dumbledore was again with Misstep trying to find the Potter brat as he called him or weapon. Only if he knew that Harry would never be his weapon. The two of them were deep under the castle examining once more the cupboard and sending obscure magic to try and reform the gate while across the castle, in her office, Minerva McGonagall was in her bedroom. She has opened her compartment trunk and had been looking through the photo album that contained pictures of Harry. She still couldn't believe how old he was now and how powerful his magic was. His magic was what interested her the most as it was a combination of wand magic and the magic of the worlds he was living in. The offensive magic he knew actually worried her as it was so powerful. Closing the book she slid it back in the trunk and then closed it before heading back into her office where she had to make a difficult decision on one Ronald Weasley. The boy just wouldn't learn to keep his mouth shut or turn in the work he was assigned. He received mostly trolls in all his course work and Albus wanted him to advance but he just did not know the course work. With the difficult decision of going against her boss, she wrote the letter that would set off volcano Molly. The letter would tell Molly and Arthur their youngest son had failed all his classes and would have to repeat them. The warning in the letter also told them if he failed again he would be expelled.

The Burrow was a busy place with nine people living there. There was Arthur Weasley, head of the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Office which was a sub-compartment of the DMLE. His wife was a stay at home mother who took care of the family home. They had seven children; the oldest was William Weasley who worked for Gringotts as a curse breaker. Then there was Charley who worked for the Dragon reserve. Both jobs were high paying and highly dangerous and their mother didn't approve of them. She was ecstatic that her son Percy was working for the ministry where she wanted all her children but Ginevra to work. The twins she was disappointed as Fred and George had only received three OWLs each. Ron she knew was struggling but he would come through in the end while her baby was just sad that her future husband wasn't at Hogwarts.
Molly was in the kitchen as the sun was coming up. The news from the day before still troubled her at the thought of a Death Eater living as a pet in her home for twelve years. When she had read it, her scream could have torn the roof off the Burrow. She had spent the day casting detection spells on all the animals on the property to make sure no more were hiding out and she even asked William if there was a detection ward that would detect them. He said he would look but wasn't sure.
Molly was at the counters in her kitchen, her wand was waving and bowls and ingredients were moving around the kitchen preparing to make waffles, bacon, fried eggs, sausage, mushrooms, baked beans, toast, grilled tomatoes, and morning tea for the family. She was thrilled to have all her babies home for once. Over on the table, she had a large mixing bowl mixing up several loaves of bread to be served for lunch and dinner.
On the stove, frying pans were frying the eggs, bacon, sausage and tomatoes while the beans simmered in a cauldron on the counter. Mushrooms were all diced up while the griddle was making the waffles. Toast was being browned in the oven and buttered when it came out. As the food was finished it was placed in bowls and plates and kept under warming charms. With a quick flick of her wand, the bread was moved to the counter and the table cleaned and set with dishes. The bowls and plates floated to the table as Arthur and her oldest entered the dining room to eat.
"Good morning Mum," William said as he sat down at one end of the table, as was his right because he was the Heir.
Arthur kissed Molly and took the other end and both of them started filling their plates as Molly left the room to yell up the stairs.
"Breakfast is ready. Get dressed and clean up. I want you down here in ten minutes or less," Molly shouted and she could hear her kids getting out of bed as Charley walked down the stairs, gave a kiss to her and went into the dining room. He was followed by her younger brother Percy who was already ready to head to work.
Molly listened and she heard the twins stumbling around and the door to her left opened and Ginny came out. She smiled at her daughter as she went into the bathroom and then turned to listen again but she couldn't hear her youngest getting up so she hollered again.
"RONALD GET UP! IF YOU'RE NOT UP AND DOWN HERE BY THE TIME WE'RE FINISHED I'LL THROW THE FOOD OUT TO THE CHICKENS!"
It was a hollow threat as Molly would never waste food but it always got little Ronnie out of the bed.
"I'M UP!" came the reply and she heard him moving around.
With a smirk she turned and headed into the kitchen as Ginny came out of the bathroom and the twins descended and waited their turn to use said room.
Molly entered the kitchen to find Arthur frowning as he was reading a letter," What's wrong Arthur?"
"A letter from Professor McGonagall. Don't give to many chores to Ronald. I want him at the table doing the homework he was assigned… let me handle it, and no yelling," Arthur said as he handed the letter to her.
Ten minutes later, a red and silent Molly was glaring at the letter as her youngest son entered the room and sat down. He immediately started stuffing food into his mouth. He never noticed the look on his family as he ate. He just shoveled food in followed by pumpkin juice as he ate. Finally his finished and looked up and noticed everyone staring at him.
"What?" he asked.
"Ronald, you eat like a pig," William replied.
"Do not," Ronald replied as he burped.
"Yes, you do," his Father said as he picked up the letter and asked, "So how was school last term?"
"It was ok."
"Are you ready for next year?" Arthur asked.
"Yeah, next year I can get on the Quidditch team now that Wood is gone," Ronald replied with a smile.
"I don't think you will," George or Fred said from his left.
"Yes I will. I'm the best in the school now that Wood left. I wouldn't be surprised if McGonagall made me captain as I know everything about Quidditch," Ron bragged.
"So what were your grades like?" Charley asked as he sipped his tea.
"They were alright," Ron replied.
"Think you passed everything?" William said as he read through his mail.
"Of course I did," Ron replied nervously.
"No you didn't. You failed almost every class," Arthur said as he showed the paper in hand to his youngest son, "In fact you will be repeating your third year."
Ronald gulped as he asked, "What classes did I pass?"
"The only class you passed was divination with an Acceptable. Everything else was a poor, dreadful or troll. I'm very disappointed in you…"
"It's not my fault. No one would help me when I asked. They all have their favorites like that mudblood Gran…" Ron was startled when his mother's hand slapped him.
"How dare you call a muggleborn that disgusting word," Molly snapped out as she shook her hand.
Ron looked at his mother in shock and realized he was in big trouble. Before he could say anything his father did.
"Ronald, I want you to go to your room. Get your homework and books. You're to bring them to the kitchen table and you will sit and do the work your teachers assigned you. I'll be sending a letter to Professor McGonagall and asking if she could get a list of all assignments that you should have completed during the year. You will then start doing them. As soon as you finish an assignment you will turn it in to your mother who will look it over. Every Friday they will be gathered and sent to Professor McGonagall to be graded. Just maybe you will be able to go onto fourth year if you're lucky. Otherwise you will repeat third year. Unless this is done you won't be going to Hogsmead and you will not have permission to join the Quidditch team. If you get everything done to our satisfaction you may be able to attend the Quidditch World Cup with the family, otherwise you will stay here with your mother," Arthur order his stunned son and then turned to the twins who were snickering, "I don't know what you two find funny. Your grades passed but barely. Why is that?"
George and Fred looked at each other and sighed, "Well, Father." George started.
"We tanked," Fred added.
"our examines," George said.
"because Mum wants,"
"us to work,"
"at the ministry,"
"and we want,"
"to open,"
"our own shop," both said at the same time.
Arthur looked at the twins and nodded, "and do you have a business plan? The money to start it? George you tell me I don't like this back and forth."
George and Fred looked at each other and then nodded, "We don't have a plan yet because its three years away. We have been developing our products and even have a mail order ready to go. We have saved up ninety-seven Galleons, fifteen Sickles, and three Knuts so far. We've spent just under twenty five galleons on supplies and once everything is ready to go this year we expect to make around one fifty. If we spend the same amount next year or even fifty we hope to have around a thousand when we graduate and we should be able to get a store in Diagon Alley and stock it for the grand opening," George replied.
"I'll talk to my account manager and ask him what you need to do," William said as his mother started to rant and his dad silenced her.
No one noticed Ron turning red at the mention of all the money the twins had but they sure heard him, "Typical, my brothers have money and won't share it."
"Go to your room and get your homework," Arthur snapped at his younger son and they watched as he stormed out of the room.
Molly disabled the silence spell and turned to the twins, "You both will work for the min…"
"MOLLY! STOP IT," Arthur snapped at his wife.
Molly's head whipped around and she looked at her husband with a stunned look. Before she could say anything he did.
"Not everyone wants to work at the ministry. The boys said what they want to do. We will support them in their endeavor. If they have the money saved when they graduate they can open their shop. If not they will have to do something else. They may even become beaters for a quidditch team until they save up to open their shop. Bill will help them and so will I. But the best way is to get them a vault so their money can earn interest and get them an account manager," Arthur said.
Turning back to the twins, he saw the excitement in their eyes and now he crushed it, "If you want our help you need to buckle down on your schooling. Now I want to know. Can you actually pass all your classes with better score?"
The twins nodded their head and Fred replied, "We can. Like we said we fudged our OWLs."
"Good to know. For the next three weeks, I want you studying. The last week of July I'll take you to the ministry and you will retake your OWLs with the home schooled kids. No more fudging and you will do your best next year and the rest of your NEWTs. Do you understand?" Arthur said.
"Yes, Father," both boys replied and then George said, "Father, what Ron failed to tell you. The reason no one helped him was all he wanted to do was copy their homework. He didn't want to study and do the work. All he did was play chess, talk quidditch and eat…"
"He also complained that Harry Potter wasn't there in Gryffindor, to be his best friend," Fred added.
"We don't even know if he would have been in Gryffindor," Arthur said in surprise at the last comment.
"He would have as his parents were and he would have been my boyfriend," Ginny stated.
"What does his parents being in Gryffindor have anything to do with it?" Arthur asked his youngest.
"Well he defeated you know who. So of course he would have. Plus the hat would have placed him in the house because his parents were there. All Potters are Gryffindor," Ginny replied.
"No, Ginny. They are not. Potters have been in all houses. Yes, James and his dad were in Gryffindor but James's Grandfather was in Ravenclaw and his father was in Slytherin while James's mother was a Slytherin just like mine. James's grandmother was a Hufflepuff if I remember right.
"Grandma was no snake," Ron snapped from the doorway.
Arthur turned to see Ronald standing there with his homework and said, "Cedrella Weasley née Black was a pure-blood witch. She was the second eldest daughter of Arcturus Black II and Lysandra Black, and sister of Charis and Callidora Black. She was sorted into Slytherin when she was sorted at Hogwarts along with her two sisters. My mother married Septimus Weasley and was disowned because Grandma and Grandpa protested the inclusion to the Sacred Twenty-Eight. Now Dorea Black married Charles Potter, mother to James Potter. So like I said, they have been in all the houses and it's not known what house he would have been in."
Ron stood there confused and then stomped to the table where he dropped his books and silently pulled out his list of homework. Grumbling as he started working on his History of Magic homework as everyone else started leaving the table. As his mother cleaned the dishes, the twins and Ginny headed up to their rooms to do their homework while Arthur, Bill, and Percy headed to work while Charley helped his mother along with his little brother when he needed it, but he refused to do the work for him.
It would be a long summer for Ron, but he would get the work done, attend the Quidditch World Cup and eventually head back to Hogwarts on September 1st where he would find out if he would be able to go into forth year.
The rest of the summer, for the people in the magical parts of the United Kingdom, was shaky. It started out ok with Sirius Black being declared innocent and a death eater thrown through the veil, but the exciting news was the Quidditch World Cup. Bulgaria versus Ireland with Ireland winning one hundred and seventy to one hundred and sixty with Victor Krum catching the snitch for Bulgaria. With their father backing the twins to make sure Bagman paid the twins with real money as he saw the man scooping up the leprechaun gold, they walked away with one hundred and eight-nine galleons, four Sickles and fifteen Knuts to their credit. Bagman was not happy that Arthur made sure he paid them in real gold. The attack later that night by the Death Eaters saw Fudge in more hot water as his wand was used to cast the Dark Mark above the stadium.
September first rolled around and the Weasley's sent their four youngest off to Hogwarts where they learned that Quidditch was canceled because of the Tri-Wizard tournament.
