Margg certainly has been busy keeping an eye on the food taster in my absence. Her "notes" have been included in Y's file as reference, but they seem inconclusive and more conjectural than factual. She does not have as much information as she would need to understand the situation.

Damn Margg. Damn damn damn damn her to the northern ice sheets in the coldest cold season that anyone has ever felt. I was ready to end Yelena this time, but the fucking nosy bitch of a HOUSEKEEPER had to go and express her distaste for my food taster. All it did, in the end, was raise more questions. What did Yelena do to make Margg hate her THIS MUCH? If it's nothing significant - and I have to believe it's not, or I would know about it - then WHAT is wrong with my supposedly loyal attendant? Why does she despise such a kind (and probably still often terrified) young woman?

It is Margg's outright villainy which stays my hand. I doubt I will have another chance like this past fortnight to steel myself. When I see Yelena smile I lose the necessary resolve. I cannot be strong when she is present.

I need to kill her, and yet I will not. I do not want to end her life.

Poor Valek - he's really at a loss here. What in the world should he do about this food taster?
