Thor heard thumping coming from the upstairs bathroom. What could Loki be doing now?

"Loki! What are you doing?" Thor yelped as he stumbled into the bathroom. Water was on the floor, and a soaking wet, fully-clothed Loki had a wriggling bundle pinned to his chest.

"…after the bath!" Loki was saying as he writhed and ended up falling in the tub, adding more water to the floor. He grabbed the bottle of pet shampoo and probably squeezed the entire bottle onto whatever he was fighting. "Just let me… wash you!"

"What are you doing?" Thor repeated. Loki and his mysterious bundle splashed and fought for a little longer before Loki held a soapy animal.

"This… is… for… your… own… good!" Loki shouted, fighting with his bundle and rinsing the shampoo off. "Can't… you… see… that?" Not taking his eye off the bundle, he started flailing his right hand around, looking for something. "Towel, towel, towel," he muttered.

"Here," Thor said, offering the towel to his brother. In one swift motion, Loki jumped out of the tub and wrapped his yowling bundle in the towel. He dropped to the floor and curled around it.

"Stop struggling," he hissed. Thor stared at Loki for about five minutes before Loki sat up. "There," he said to the bundle. "See? All better." Placing the bundle on his lap, he started rubbing the fur with the towel.

"Is that a… cat?" Thor asked.

Loki jumped, and both he and his cat ended up in the tub again, neither caring that all the effort of getting dry was wasted. "Thor!" Loki blurted. "How long have you been here?"

"Long enough," Thor said. "What was that all about?"

"Brie was muddy," Loki said. "And she needed a bath. She likes baths but she likes making my life hard even more."

"Oh…" Thor said. "Once again Loki, I have no idea what to say. You continue to amaze me."
