Review Responses
randomsmileyperson: I like Frankie, actually. I think because it's got Logan's real name but displayed in the way Logan would... you know, the way she acts is also part of it. It's like the best of both worlds, basically. Can I use that sometime? Thanks for the review!

Queenc1: Thanks for reviewing! Glad you liked the last chapter.

Lilyfanficlover: Thanks! And, I passed the test! Yay! Thanks for reading and reviewing, hey!

YouBrokeMyCrayon: Lol. You have a point. Maybe really, really and I mean really deep down, if you squint hard, she has a heart. I mean, something has to be pumping her blood, right?

1DR5: Thanks for reviewing! I'm so happy you enjoyed the last chapter! I hope you'll like this one too.

Thelonelystars: You have no idea how on point your thoughts are about Logan and Tony! That is almost exactly what is going to happen! Great minds think alike, eh? So no worries, things'll work out! (Please, other readers, don't look up thelonelystars' review 'cause that is basically the whole plot).

Sammiebunnies: that's interesting. I think you're the first person to want to see Trent as a good guy for once! Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

Guest: Oh, there will be more moments of Tony and Logan, but they will be short and sweet until they get together.

Okay so that's everyone! I really liked doing your responses! It's nice to know that everyone is enjoying the story so far. And here's phase two!

I Own Nothing!

Ally's POV
I paused, reaching out to the centre of the table to take a sip from my iced tea before resuming to scribble notes in my songbook. Pausing once again to flip back through the pages, I realised that I had some unfinished songs in my book. With a determined smile, I decided to try and finish one of them off. I was humming to myself when suddenly a shadow blocked my sun. With a sigh, I glanced up to see Trent grinning down at me.

"Oh, hey Trent," I said with a warmer smile. Trent grinned down at me, "Is this seat taken?" I shook my head and he took a seat next to me. Closing my songbook, I turned my undivided attention to Trent, who was drumming his fingers against the table top.

"So what's up?"

He shrugged, "Nothing. Just waiting for class to start," he said, slipping on his shades, "We have the same class together, right?" I nodded, "Yeah. We can go together."

"Cool. So how did the breakup go?" he asked as he casually leaned back against the seat. I smiled, "It was hilarious. She actually fell for it – and Austin pretended to kick me out so I have to 'move out' today," I replied with a laugh. Trent cracked a smile, "So how are you going to live there if you've 'moved out'?"

I pretended to pop my nonexistent collar and grinned, "No worries, bro. I got it all figured out!" When he didn't answer me, I leaned forward and turned to him so that I could explain my elaborated plan to him.

"So this is what's going to happen. I will hire some guys to help me move out and I'll mention how I'm renting an apartment. Sonya will see this and think it's for real. But here's the genius part," I paused, unable to control the giddy smile that was now stretching my lips. I mean, come on, this plan is pure genius!

"Later in the day, I'll come back and make sure no one's home and then I'll hire the guys again to bring all my stuff back in, and I'll keep them in the last spare room no one uses! Then, every night I'll sneak back into the house when Sonya's asleep or something. Then I'll wake up super early every morning – you know, like before the sun comes up – then I'll sneak back out! What do you think?!"

Trent raised an eyebrow at me but said nothing. He opened his mouth to say something but then closed it again. I grinned, Oh this plan is perfect! It's got him speechless!

"I know right?!" I said with a laugh as I raised my hand for a hi-five. When Trent shook his head at me, I awkwardly put it down, "What?"

"Well, it's a good plan, Ally," he started. I nodded in agreement, "I know. I've even got it written in my songbook in an organised schedule. Colour coded, of course."

"But it seems really complicated. Like, something that would happen in a Disney sitcom," he said gently, as if he were telling a child that Santa was not real. I blushed, embarrassed.

"It could work!" I protested. Trent shook his head, "Why don't you just stay with someone at PCA? You can leave your stuff at your house, but just pack some clothes or whatever."

I pouted, "But that's less fun!"

"And more realistic," he added knowingly. I nodded again in agreement, "I guess you have a point. I'll go with your idea, but I'm keeping my original plan as a backup plan." Trent rolled his eyes and smiled, "Okay, okay."

"So Trent, word on the street is that you're a good dancer," I said coolly, taking another sip of my drink. Trent smiled, "I'm pretty good."

Eye roll. "How modest," I said, my tone now flat.

Trent put his hands up in surrender, "Hey, I'm not going to grin and say that I'm 'okay' or whatever 'cause I know I'm good."

"You're so conceited." Man, if I had a dime for every time I've said that to a guy (mainly Austin), I'd be a millionaire. Trent put a hand to his chest and shook his head, a smile on his face. "No, no, no. I'm confident."

Well. There's a new one! I clapped my hands and laughed nevertheless, "Okay you can have that one."

He laughed as well, "Thank you, thank you. So how'd you know I can dance?"

I only smiled and tapped my nose secretly. The truth is, I just so happened to be wondering around the empty halls last week in the late afternoon.

Flashback
I was about to join Austin and the gang on a journey to get some ice cream sundaes at the Melody Diner when I heard the music.

The deep, resounding beat of the super catchy hip hop music pulled me to its source like a magnet. As I got nearer, my skin started to crawl with excited tingles. Hip hop isn't really my kind of music, but I still found myself dancing a little to the song. I even recognised the artist to be someone like Jay Z or something. So anyway, Jay Z led me to one of the many dance studios at the school, and I peeked in.

Trent was the only one in the room. It was extremely clean, meaning that classes for the day in the studios were over, and he was the only one. Trent is an amazing dancer, I'll give him that. He did flips and spins and all sorts of cool hip hop moves (I don't know the names, but I remember what they looked like. I tried some at home later that day and Austin thought I'd developed epilepsy...). Though I wanted to see more, I had to go. And I didn't want to disturb him anyway.
End Flashback

"But I didn't know you did dance classes," I said to him, "I thought you got in 'cause of music."

He continued to drum his fingers on the table top and exhaled, "I did. I don't dance at PCA. It's just something I kind of do on my own."

"So why don't you dance as well at school? I mean, Trent, you're amazing!" I paused when he looked at me strangely. "You know, from what I've heard."

Hey! I'm only not telling him I saw him 'cause he'll think I'm a weirdo stalker. How awkward would that be?

"I can't..." he stopped and looked over my shoulder. Then, as if in disbelief, he did a double take. Intrigued, I turned and followed his gaze to a gorgeous black girl who'd just walked in. She looked around our age, and didn't really seem to be with anyone at the moment. My face broke into a smile.

"Aw! I think someone has a crush!" I giggled, turning to Trent. Rather than seeing him look – you know, in love – he had a small glint of desperation in his eyes. That didn't make sense. Why would he be so uncomfortable just because of some random pretty girl?

...Because she's NOT some random pretty girl! I realised. "Who is she?" I asked him eagerly, "An ex-girlfriend? A long lost relative? And ex girlfriend who you found out was your long lost relative so you two had to break up?!" Trent rolled his eyes at me.

"No. She's no one."

"So why were you staring at her?"

Trent stopped and shrugged, "She's, eh, beautiful."

"Aha! So you do like her!"

"No I don't!" Trent hissed, grabbing his jean jacket from the table top, "I'm leaving."

"Oh, come on Trent! I get why you would like her. You shouldn't be scared to talk to her!" I said, also grabbing my stuff and following his out the door. "You have the looks and the swag. Go get her!"

Trent turned to face me, "Ally, I don't feel that way about her, okay? I know her."

"Did she break your heart?" I asked, now more serious.

Trent snorted, "Kira? No. She couldn't hurt a fly. Literally - she's a vegetarian."

"So her name's Kira?" I said, collecting the newfound information, "Well, go talk to her if you know her. Just say hi. I don't mind waiting." Trent shook his head. Annoyed I turned around and opened the door to the cafe.

"KIRA!" I shouted. Kira stopped ordering in surprise and stared at me, "Uh..?"

I grinned and motioned to Trent, who was now running a hand over his face in agitation and embarrassment.

"Oh my gosh Trent?!" Kira suddenly exclaimed in disbelief, "Is that you?!" Trent made a weird sound and fled past us so quickly I felt a breeze blow my hair. Now on my own, I became aware of the numerous stares I was receiving and squealed before running out of the cafe. Embarrassing, much?

But that Kira girl seems nice.

We walked in silence for a few moments. The speeding cars whizzed past us as we silently manoeuvred around the many pedestrians on the sidewalk. It was a little awkward, so I decided to break the ice. I glanced at Trent who was walking at an arm's length beside me, his hands in his pockets and a strange expression on his face. Should I leave him to his thoughts now, or just start talking?

Well, if his thoughts are troubling him then I can save him by just talking. Eh, what do I have to lose?

"So, Trent..." I began, before stopping. What to say, what to say?

He glanced sideways at me, "Yeah?"

"Umm... So are you coming tonight?" I asked him hurriedly. I was to meet everyone at some pizza place because Dez decided he wanted to annoy Trish at her latest job. Knowing those two, Trish will be fired by the end of the evening and Dez is going to become her human punching bag before that.

Man, I love my friends.

This thought alone brought a silly little smile onto my face, so I'm pretty sure that Trent was giving me a weird look. No matter, I'm used to it.

"I wasn't invited..."

My bad.

"Well, you can come if you want," I said, shrugging one shoulder. His expression was sceptical, and I found myself wondering if what I was doing was okay. "I mean, you are our friend," I continued, now staring ahead, "And you should come anyway. Unless you had other plans already."

"Nah, I can come," he said with a smile. I nodded, "cool." Before anything else could be said, my phone started ringing. Casting Trent a look, I dug around in my purse, "Sorry."

"S'okay. I gotta go anyway. See you guys tonight then," he said, waving goodbye before disappearing around the corner. Finally fishing out my phone, I thought once again of Trish and Dez and smiled.

"Hello?" I said, still smiling to myself.

"Als? Why'd you sound so weird?" he asked. The smile instantly dropped and was replaced with a good natured eye roll.

"I had a great day thanks. You?"

"It was okay, thanks for asking," he replied. Well that didn't work. "So anyway, I really need you right now to stop being happy and look distressed."

I pouted, "But why? I'm in a good mood!"

"Because she is coming tonight," he said flatly. I sighed, "Why did you invite her?"

"I didn't!" he exclaimed, now defensive, "She overheard me and Ross talking. I couldn't say no."

"Austin! Did you even try?!"

"Yes! I really couldn't say no! She talks way too much."

"It runs in the family," I said with a small sigh.

He scoffed, "you can say that again..."

"It runs in the family."

"Ally!" I laughed, "Sorry I had to. I don't talk as much as I did before."

"Yeah. And cows don't make milk anymore."

Well!

"Ignoring that," I quipped.

Austin chuckled, "Sorry Als. Look, I have to go. See you tonight, hey?"

I nodded, even though he couldn't see me, "Sure. Bye."

"Bye. Love you," he said, and then the line went dead before I could reply. Then a thought suddenly dawned on me. I haven't told Austin about Trent coming. Oops.

The pizza parlour was bustling with people. It was quite obvious that we'd decided to come at rush hour. Dez didn't seem to mind. He was too busy filming almost everything in sight with his camera. Judging by the way he's getting into it, the video for the drama project is going to be great.

Austin led us to a big booth at the back, near a window. Behind him was Sonya, strutting her stuff as usual. I'm not sure if she's noticed it, but she's already attracting some attention from some guys. We all took a seat on the bright red leather seat and started to chat. I was sitting across from Austin, who had Ross on his right and Sonya on his left. On my left was Logan and my right side was empty, as Trent had yet to arrive. Speaking of which, I should probably tell the others about his arrival.

"Um guys," I said, avoiding Austin's gaze (we are supposed to have broken up), "Trent's coming to join us just now. Is that OK?" I got varied responses.

"Why wouldn't it be okay?"

"Aw man, less food for us."

"Who's Trent again? Oh, the new guy."

"Wasn't he coming at first anyway?"

"...And your point is..?" (That one was Sonya.)

"Yeah it's okay." (Austin.)

"What Austin said." (Dez)

Dez was pointing the camera at me when he murmured his response, "And Trent will be here in five., four, three, two." He pointed the camera just above me, "Hey buddy!"

"Hey guys," Trent said from behind me, taking a seat, "Sorry I'm late."

"S'okay," Austin said leaning back. His eyes darted back and forth between us. I got the feeling that he was trying to tell me something. Even with Sonya babbling on to him about something or the other, his gaze was on me. When I clearly couldn't get his silent message, he grabbed his phone.

My phone vibrated with a text. I quickly opened Austin's text.

Move on with the plan. – A

What do you mean?I typed back.

Hel-lo! When Trent pretendsto be interested in you to break Miss Thang's heart?! – A

Oh yeah. Sorry. I'll get right on it. Tell Dez to film us.

Austin didn't reply but subtly nodded at me before nudging Dez and saying something to him. Sonya didn't notice as she was now chatting to Trent. I wiped off my neutral expression and put on my best, heartbroken-and-in-need-of-severe-comfort face. Under the table, I nudged Trent with my foot.

He turned to me, "what?"

"It's time," I whispered. I could feel Sonya's gaze burning holes in my skin. Trent's eyes flashed with understanding.

"Ally," he said, now with a normal tone, "what's wrong? You look down."

I sighed and quickly glanced at Sonya and Austin, as if I couldn't stand to see them 'together'. "Oh, Trent, it hurts too much to speak of."

Haha. That sounded like a cheesy line from a romance novel. "Oh, Russell! Why do you play with me so?" Abby wailed, looking away. Russell stepped closer and touched her shoulder, "Baby, you're my reason for playing this game."

Abby flinched and shook off his hand, ignoring the sparks, "You don't care about me!" He looked in her eyes and whispered, "What happened to you Abby?"

Abby looked away, "It's hurts too much to talk about."

"Abby please!" She looked at him straight in the eye, tears running down her face, "You broke my heart, Russell."

"Everyone makes mistakes, please, Abby!" he took her hands in his, kissing each of her knuckles, "I made the greatest. You're my first and only love please take me back!"

Urgh. That is so cheesy and horrible I just have to laugh.

Hang on. Trent was saying something, but I can't hear him. Snap out of it and focus, Ally! I thought to myself. Oh gosh, it's my turn to speak – and Sonya's watching. Just great. I'm going to have to improvise.

I sniffed, pretending to wipe tears away, "Thanks for caring, Trent," I said. Apparently I said the right thing. "That's okay, Ally. Anytime you need to, you can come to me."

Trish came right then and there to take our orders (or in other words, boss someone else around and join our little hangout). "Hi guys! Hey, boobs for brains, move over so that I can sit!" Sonya glared at Trish but moved over anyway. That is such a Logan thing to say though. While everyone was focused on Trish, Austin sent me a text. Trent leaned in to read it.

Don't overdo it! :/

I chuckled and shared a small fist pump with Trent. Austin rolled his eyes but smiled. Trent became absorbed with the conversation so I decided to listen to Tony and Logan's. You can call it eavesdropping but I call it listening intently to a conversation. Got it?

I discreetly turned to see Logan and Tony. They were having their own conversation, and I couldn't help but notice Logan's flirty actions towards Tony. Not that I'm an expert or anything but I think she might need some lessons in that department. Of course the only person to help her with that would be Tasha. She may be shy and quiet, but she sure can flirt up a storm. She manages to make Ross blush from time to time.

Today Logan toned her outfit down to some jeggings (1) and really cute hightops. As much as I loved her outfit, I can't stop myself from wondering if Tony likes it. I mean, he can't take his eyes off of her. That can go both ways, you know.

"...maybe tomorrow night?" Sonya was asking Trent. Intrigued, I turned my attention over to the two of them. I tried my best to look sad and bored. Her eyes slid over to me, and she raised an eyebrow ever so slightly.

Quick! How would I feel if Austin really left me for Sonya? Sad, well duh. But I would be angry, wouldn't I? Or would I feel really insecure? Maybe insecure? I blinked and looked away, hoping to look... you know... real. I felt Trent put a hesitant hand on my shoulder and say, "I'm sorry but I can't. I'm taking Ally to her therapy session." My head turned slowly to Trent, a wall of hair hiding my face from Sonya's view.

Therapy sessions?! Really?!

I wouldn't need therapy if Austin dumped me! Honestly!

"Therapy?" she asked, obviously confused, "For... what?"

"You wouldn't understand," Trent began, leaning in and lowering his voice, "When Austin dumped her, she just fell apart. Made her a little crazy."

"Excuse me," I said softly, looking down t hide my expression. I really don't know if I want to laugh, or yell at Trent, or just roll my eyes. I got up quickly from my seat in order to avoid the scene. Do I feel bad for wanting to ditch Trent and have him do the dirty work? Yes. But I might just crack if I look at Sonya one more time. In my hurry, I blindly barrelled into someone and knocked them over. I gasped as a girl fell into Trent's lap. All conversation stopped as everyone stared at the two.

Trent froze and once again no longer looked like a really swaggy guy but a nervous wreck.

"What the heck was that?!" the girl exclaimed, jumping away from him. She looked extremely annoyed, to say the least. Trent shook his head, his mouth opening and closing in shock.

"I'm so, sorry," I sputtered, "I can be really clumsy sometimes. I – are you OK?" She nodded, and I immediately recognised her as Kira from earlier on.

"Yeah, I'm fine," she said, taking a deep breath. She seemed to calm down and looked at Trent, who looked like he wanted to be anywhere else but here.

"Thanks for catching me Trent," she said to him nicely enough. Trent nodded but said nothing. "Want to catch up on old times? I can do tomorrow night. It's been a while," she said. Everyone was still as they watched him.

"Oh, don't bother," Sonya cut in, "He's busy with Ally." Her voice was tinged with extra jealousy (HA! I knew she liked Trent!). Kira looked at meas if she was criticizing my outfit choice. Oh well.

"Oh. I thought you guys were together, that day at the cafe. I just figured that's why Trent wanted to leave so early..."

"W-what? Trent and I... never! I mean, he's a great guy but-" I tried to redeem myself. Austin glanced at me, raising an eyebrow. I blushed and continued to sputter profusely.

"It's fine, I get it," she said, waving me off, "see you around Trent? Tell Olivia I said hi." Without another word, Kira turned around and walked off. Trent looked, well revlieved is a huge understatement, to say the least.

"Trent are you okay?" I asked. Trent cleared his throat, "Yeah but I think I'd better go."

"What? Already?" Austin exclaimed. "Stay for a little while longer."

Trent shook his head, "nah. I really have to go." And then he practically flew out of the parlour. His sudden strange behaviour left everyone speechless, even for just a moment.

"Pizza's here!" Trish hollered, setting a huge pizza onto our table. No one made a move to eat it.

"What? Can you tell that Jen didn't wash her hands before making it?! She promised you couldn't tell!"

Oh, Trish.

There's a long chapter for you guys. Phase Two is complete. This one had a lot of Trent in it. You can all relax guys, there's nothing going on between Trent and Ally. I just needed his character to develop some more since we don't really know him, you know? Yeah.

So there's probably going to be around ten to fifteen more chapters until I finish PCA... and I'm hoping to complete this before the year ends. So yeah. Keep in mind, Debby and this mysterious 'Olivia' characters are going to be important in the next chapters so don't forget them. Sorry for thrusting a bunch of new characters in your face. But you'll like them. Well, I do.

Please, please review! Thank you so much for reading!

(1): For anyone who doesn't know, jeggings are leggings that are like jeans, basically. I don't know if that's what they're called. That's just what I call them. I was too lazy to look it up on Google so you can check it out if you want. Or care. Lol.
