Chapter 17: Hanami Festival

. . . . .

Day 1 - Morning

. . . . .

The first day of the festival and it is already jam packed with people ranging from families to friends to passer-bys entering to see the school's spectacular display of events and booths. The student body was directing giving pamphlets to them for scheduled events that will be taken place.

The schedule for the first day is the busiest time for most of the students, in Lucy's case, she will be busy serving the customers for the whole day. Lucy was doing her first shift for the first day, during the second day she'll be free to roam around to look at the other classes with their booths. She found out Laxus and his crew will be entertaining the crowd today and will most probably help them out after they have given the 'ok' from one of the teachers instructing for a switch. Their shift also happens to be the same as Lucy's, even though some of them had told them they could've taken the second day shift they decided that they could handle it.

She was wearing a pink cheongsam with gold chrysanthemums stitched on her dress. The sleeves were up to her elbows. She tied her hair into a bun with some of her hair sticking out. Her mother was squealing with delight and took several photos of her. Even hinting to give a few to Laxus which made her turn red and flailing her arms around trying to get the camera off her hands.

While Lucy was roaming in her thoughts and looked at the tree, sure enough it slowly beginning to look like a rainbow sakura tree. Every time the wind swayed, the leaves showed different array of colours. When she was walking into school in the morning, she was shocked to see it actually started changing colours. She was gleefully running towards the tree looking above grinning from ear-to-ear. She felt stares were on her and saw people were giving her weird looks, she blushed and quickly ran to her classroom to prevent anymore embarrassment.

In the corner of her eye she could see people starting to stream into the school's entrance. She could slowly feel the panic raising as she sees the amount of people walking from parents with their children to couples strolling in hand-in-hand. She could feel her heart beat increasing bit by bit, she tried placing her hand on her heart, trying to calm it down as more people soon appeared flowing from the gates into the school compound.

"Lu-chan, are you nervous?"

She whipped her head around looking startled only to see Levy giving her a look of concern. She was wearing a long-sleeved aqua blue cheongsam with small petals stitched in light blue threads. She tries to give her a smile of confidence to the fidgety girl.

"Don't worry Lu-chan, everyone is nervous so am I. But if we do our best and have fun, I'm sure everything will be alright!"

Levy clasped her hands with Lucy's giving her warmth and hoping to transfer some of her confidence to her. It helped her somewhat knowing she wasn't the only one feeling nervous. She give her a small smile and a nod trying to not show her nervousness was increasingly getting worse.

"Everyone, they are coming up the stairs now!"

Lucy, Levy and half of the class looked at Macao sensei as he brings his head back into the classroom after taking a peek outside of the classroom to see if anyone was walking into their direction.

"Look alive and start bringing in customers! I know this is a competition between the other classes but to remember we are also here to have fun!"

They all nodded and cheered at his speech.

"But those who think like that, will never win at all!"

"Huh?!" They all look baffled and stared at their sensei in confusion.

"We must win at all cost to show them we are the best of the best! If you're all going to act all stiff and rigid we will never win against the others! You lot must be like a fire, be spontaneous and lively! If you want to win this, start acting more professional instead of mopping in the corner being fearful! Let's make our café the best one that will outmatch and outshine the others! We will be number one and bow down to our superiority! Ha ha ha!"

Their teacher gave the strangest evil cackle they've ever heard leaving some to look weirdly at him. However everyone started smiling, giggling and laughing knowing what their sensei was trying to do. They shouted, "Yes sir!" and some of the guys give him a salute of gratitude.

Levy turned to look at Lucy smiling warmly at her, "See Lu-chan, even Macao sensei is trying his best to cheer us on. Let's do our best ne?"

The blond giggled and nodded with a stronger drive to do her best.

. . . . .

Day 1 - Afternoon

. . . . .

Soon people slowly filling into the room and slowly became busier by the hour. Lucy had to jump from standing outside greeting customers to walking back and forth serving them. She even was asked to take a photo with them, which she embarrassingly agreed to do. Since Laxus and the others weren't here yet, it was getting a bit difficult to handle since there were cut to half of the efficiency they needed. However some of their classmates helped fill them in for a short while seeing how they are short-handed with staff. Some wanted to help just for experience for the second day shift.

It started slowing down since lunch hour was gone, there are fewer customers coming in but it was enough for them to handle them without the extra help. A few extra helpers decided to leave while the others decided to stay a bit longer.

Lucy decided to take a short break feeling her feet was beginning to feel sore from all that walking and standing. Her mouth was a bit strained to due to taking pictures and smiling for the whole day. Her smile was a bit awkward and stiff but she manage to pull it off and started showing her natural smile once she has gotten used to it.

She saw Macao sensei walking into their class, he was whispering to a few of her classmates, including Levy and Juvia. She saw both of them leaving, he looked around and spotted her staring at him. He gave her a smile he approached her.

"Hey Lucy, how's things going for you?"

She gave him a tired smile, "Not bad sensei, everything is going smoothly. We were having a bit of problem earlier but the others helped us out even though it wasn't their shift today."

"Ha ha, I heard. I'm glad it wasn't a burden to you guys since the others aren't even here yet. But it's them that's still stalling to perform longer though so you can blame them for leaving you guys short-handed." He sighed tiredly while scratching his head.

"Wait how long have they been performing for?"

"Probably almost 20 minutes. Their performance was supposed to be done 10 minutes ago."

She tilted her head to the side in confusion, "If it was done a while ago why are they still playing?"

"It's because one of the students were sick so they had to find a last minute replacement to replace him. Apparently they were stalling for time so their competitors won't be disqualified."

Both of them laughed quietly to themselves, "Well it's just like them to do so, after all where's the fun if one of them is disqualified due to a missing member."

Lucy nodded her head enthusiastically, "That's true and it wouldn't be them to do that otherwise."

"Yup… Oh right while we are discussing about this, why don't you take a break for now."

"Wait now? But what about the others? I still have to help them out."

Her sensei shook his head in disagreement, " You don't have to, right now the flow is a bit slower now so you can take the time to have a couple of minutes break and see the show. You have to come back and take someone else's shift once you come back of course."

"Oh but its ok I can stay here a bit longer –"

"Lucy Heartifilia that is an order from your sensei."

She pouted and sighed, "Yes Macao sensei."

He grinned and pats her head. "Good girl, now off you go and have fun!" He pushed her out of the classroom without her consent.

She saw Levy and Juvia were waiting outside for her and gave her a smile.

"Lucy was also talked out by Macao sensei like Juvia did?"

"Mm-hmm."

Levy places her finger on her chin thinking as she spoke loudly enough for them to hear her speak.

"You know…he only got most of the girls out of the classroom while the guys are still in there working…"

Realising this they looked at each other, nodded to themselves and walked away. Their sensei was being 'nice-r' to them only because they are wearing something 'pleasing' to his eyes. Oh what a perverted sensei they have…

They decided to go and watch Laxus's and the others perform. They weren't sure if they were still playing since they only stayed to stall for time. Once they started heading closer to the hall, they heard loud drumming sounds echoing. They looked at each other and walked slightly faster to see that they were still playing on stage.

They were wearing white bandana tied to their heads, the girls were wearing red matsuri happi coats with white shorts while the guys wore blue matsuri happi coats with white shorts, both covered with white socks and sandals.

The girls were in awe to see them playing in sync and surprisingly playing well in tune. Erza and Bisca where at the far ends of the corner on the opposite side, playing their shime-daiko as they sat on the floor. Making high-pitched sounds and playing rapidly keeping rhythm to pace the sounds.

Alzack and Loke were playing the okedo-daiko, they have various pitches of sounds when drumming it. Loke and Alzack's daiko were strapped to their waist making them mobile and moving around without problems. Having to be able to entertain the crowd.

Natsu, Gray and Gajeel were playing chu-daiko, the most important instrument to be played in a wadaiko. It is much bigger than okedo-daiko. There were three of them in the middle of a circle, same as the okedo-daiko they can also make various pitches depending on the position or the drummer drumming them. They were the important performers being only able to move around in the circle switching to different drums while keeping in tune with the rhythm. Their shirts where now around their waist and sweating profusely, leaving Juvia swooning at Gray in his shirtless form.

Laxus is playing the odaiko, the largest drum out of the others. His was the loudest of them all and most represented in any wadaiko. Freed was standing at the back holding on the large odaiko to stabilize it. It requires a lot of endurance and stamina to play something that large. His shirt was also now strapped to his waist, you could see his sweat dripping from his forehead to his chest and down to be dissolved to his shirt.

Lucy was beyond words, staring and gaping at him openly. She has seen him shirtless once but seeing him like this, was something Lucy couldn't take. She felt like she was going to turn into a puddle of goo if she continued to stare at him longer. She heard a soft gasp beside her.

"Lu-chan! You're drooling!"

She blinked, her mind finally came down to reality and quickly cleaned off her drool on the side of her mouth. She could feel her face flushed with embarrassment.

"My Lu-chan, I didn't know you were such a pervert! Drooling at him wide in the open in front of everyone…" Levi gave her a look of fake innocence while the blond girl glared at her. The blunette giggled and winked at her.

"Don't worry Lu-chan I won't tell…" She narrowed her eyes further, what does she mean by that?

"Besides from the looks of it, I'm going to have to take Juvia to the infirmary… She passed out on us…"

"Huh?" She glanced at Juvia, she actually did pass out and her face was extremely red. You could see her eyes turning into swirls from too much blood to her head.

"Oh no! Let's hurry get her to there!"

"It's ok Lu-chan, I can take her there myself."

She looked at her worriedly, "Are you sure? I mean I can help balance the weight from her body."

Levy giggled, "It's alright, she isn't that heavy, and I didn't want to ruin your lovey-dovey look you have for Laxus…"

"Levy!"

"Hehe, bye Lu-chan!" She lifted Juvia to her shoulder and took off towards the infirmary, not wanting to face Lucy's red faced wrath.

There was an intermission and they were finally able to get off the stage, the guys specifically were extremely tired out. Alzack, Freed and Loke sat on the floor while the others were lying on the ground breathlessly trying to breathe in more oxygen to their lungs.

"Laxus, Gray, Natsu, Gajeel get up this instant! It is unprofessional and just unsightly to see you on the ground like this!"

Erza tried reprimanding them but they were just too tired to even complain. Bisca sighed and told the red head to leave them be, they overworked themselves and they deserve a break for themselves. As much as Erza agrees she still thinks it isn't good to be lying down sweating like pigs.

"You guys, you did great out there!"

They turned and saw Lucy running up towards them with a wide grin plastered on her face.

"You think we did good out there?" Alazck manage to say something as he thanked Bisca handing him a towel to wipe himself.

"Good? You guys did awesome out there, I didn't think you guys could even pull it off seeing how the first time you guys did it was horrible."

She could see them wincing slightly realising what she just said. "Wait I didn't mean it to sound bad! I'm sorry!"

She heard Gray chuckle, "No you're right, we were horrible in the beginning."

Natsu scoffed at him, "Yeah ice-for-brains suck so bad, you should've seen how clumsy he is Luce."

"Shut it ash-wipe! You were just as bad, no even worse than I did!"

She rolled her eyes as they were back to their own antics. Since they still had the energy to quarrel she shouldn't be worried about them. She saw Laxus getting up from his lying position and putting back on his coat.

"If you guys have that much energy left in you then let's start helping out the others in the café. We've left them hanging for way to long and I'm sure they are having trouble with the orders and cooking they have to do."

Erza nodded and looked at Lucy, "That's right, we need to get back to them, Lucy were you able to cope without us?"

"Yeah, some of the others who were supposed to have their shift yesterday decided to help us out. Don't worry though everything was going smoothly." Erza gave her a nod. "Though we still need to apologise to you all for leaving you guys do most of the work."

"Oh no it's alright Erza-"

She felt a large hand on her shoulder, she looked up to see Laxus was at her side whispering softly to her. "Let her be, if you keep on insisting not to she'll probably overdo it in the café and cause more problems than necessary." She gave an uncomfortable laugh seeing she can imagine something bad would actually happen.

Laxus and Lucy were the at the back of the crowd slowly walking their way back to their café. For Lucy she suddenly felt awkward to talk to him. She didn't know why but her heart couldn't stop beating and she can feel her blood were trying to creep to her cheeks. Her eyes started to wonder to the blond male, she could still see his sweat slowly dripping from the side of his face. She followed it, crawling from his cheekbone to his angular jaw, slowly going down towards his strong collarbone, before disappearing to his shirt underneath the sturdy abs.

She was unfocused as her eyes trailed the bead of sweat, not realising that he was looking at the corner of his good left eye, catching her ogling at him. He felt vibration in his pants pocket, he took a look trying to stop himself from laughing. He turn to look at her, still unaware of the fact he's smirking at her. He seductively spoke in a soft voice that only Lucy would be able to hear. "Are you going to start drooling Lucy?"

That woke her up making him chuckle as her face was turning redder and redder by the second.

"W-why would I be drooling! You aren't that good looking to even deserve anyone to drool at you!"

She saw his left eyebrow arched up in amusement, she doesn't like the look of this…

"Oh really now? Then care to explain what this picture is all about then?"

He turned his phone to face her and to her horror, it was a picture of her drooling and staring dreamingly at Laxus!

"W-where?! W-who sent you this?!"

He swiped his phone back to his pocket, showing his teeth with his diabolical grin. "You don't have to worry about that blonde, all that matters that you have the hots for me."

She turned to face away from him, she couldn't say anything. No, she didn't want to deny it. The feelings stirring up inside of her, the warm sensation in her stomach, her heart beating more erratically than normal. She couldn't deny the fact that in truth, she might like him!

While she wasn't looking at him, he waited for a couple of seconds to pass and wait for her to disagree with him in any form or way. However as time passes she didn't, Laxus was in a bit of a shock, 'She didn't deny it…'.

His heart slowly started to skip a beat, 'Maybe…maybe I can…'.

They finally got back to their class, just in the nick of time to as customers started flooding in again, quickly changed into their outfits and everything was back to normal. Well almost, the blond female was awkwardly trying to avoid the bond male. When their skin touched, she jumped with a squeak and walked in the opposite direction. Making it obvious to everyone in the class to see a strange awkward air around them.

. . . . .

Day 2 – Morning

. . . . .

On the last day of the festival, the Hanami tree is now blooming with spectacular rays of colours, the leaves were slowly drifting down to the ground for children to pick them up or for adults who kept it for memorable times. Lucy and the others who had their first day shift were now free to roam around to look at the other booths.

During the morning she spends her time with Levy, Juvia and Erza. They wandered to the third year halls where Cana and Mirajane were. They did mention they were had their shift today so they decided to check out what they had. It was quite lively in their classroom as they can hear cheering from the outside. When they walked in they could see different variations of games including dunking, mini-bowling and some odd choices of roulette table and a pole table. They also had other mini booths outside of school for more games and also bringing customers into their class.

Cana saw the other girls were outside, she tapped the white haired girl and pointed towards them. She grinned and gave a loud, "Welcome to the Games Roulette Corner!"

Erza spoke first, "Mira, what kind of game is this?"

She giggled and allowed Cana to explain. "If you want to join in the fun, all you have to do is spin the wheel and it will tell you what game you will be playing. If you manage you win, you'll get a prize."

"Oh! That's not a bad idea at all!" Levy was already eager to try out the games they had. She apparently was eyeing on the pole table hoping to try out the game. "Juvia thinks Levy-san is very eager to play the pole table. May Juvia know why?"

Her face slowly turned pink, "Erm…I just wanted to try it out you know? It's not like I'm playing to impress anyone! Ha ha ha ha!"

The girls shook their heads and the obvious intentions the girl had.

"Hehe, well why don't you girls try it out? It's been a big hit for everyone. The fee is just $5 to play." Mirajane already had her hands out with a glint in her eyes.

Levy immediately paid her and jumped towards the wheel, Lucy chuckled while Erza give a sigh with a tiny smile on her face. They both paid her and followed Levy who already spun the wheel.

Cana asked them while watching the wheel started slowing down. "Are the three of you playing together?"

"Yup." Levy instantly said it while her eyes were following the needle on the wheel eager to see the result. She gave a gleeful 'Yay!' when she got to play at the pole table, she grabbed their arms and darted towards the table.

Cana sighed while Mira giggled and looked at the brunette. "Cana-san shouldn't you be helping them play the game?"

"Alright I'm on it."

After an hour of playing pole, it seems Erza has a knack for playing it, Levy wasn't good but she wasn't bad either, Juvia was also on par with Levy. Lucy on the other hand…

"Cheer up Lu-chan, you didn't do that bad…"

They could see her shoulders slumming down lower, they tried cheering her up buying her treats like cotton candy to shaved icecream.

As soon as they tried to go to another stall she was suddenly pulled back away from her friends. They gasped and turned around to see Laxus dragging Lucy further away from her friends.

Erza shouted ignoring the crowd staring at her, "Laxus Dreyar where in the world are you taking Lucy?!"

He turned his head around shouted back just as loud as she did. "I'm just taking her around the better spots you guys missed. Don't worry I'll bring her back before they announce the winner of the attraction contest!"

"LAXUS!"

. . . . .

Day 2 – Afternoon

. . . . .

"Laxus will you stop pulling, my arm feels like it's going to fall off!"

His steps started slowing down to match Lucy's pace. While changing his pace, his hands were now holding onto hers instead of her arm. She notice this and her face was glowing pink.

"You know you can let go off my hand."

She could hear him scoff and held her hand slightly tighter, "If I did you would run away again. You've been doing that since yesterday blonde."

Her nervousness was showing as she started to fidget and looking everywhere but Laxus. She started to ramble and slowly her voice was getting higher and higher the more conscious she felt his warm callous hands on hers. "W-well I can do whatever I want. I don't have to be with you every day you know! I have other friends to enjoy the festival!"

"I know."

And that stopped her, she could hear his firm tone and looking at her with a hard gaze. It looked like she had said something that made him give her a look of loneliness and a hint of…pain. She faced down to the ground, feeling guilty and her heart throbbing of her guilt.

She heard him chuckling and slowly looked up to see his face. His left eye held a bit of guilt and worry. He squeezed her hand gently and whispered, "Sorry.". Lucy reciprocate it with a squeeze of her own.

After wandering around further into the second year hallway they were now standing outside of Bixlow and and Evergreen's class. The banner hanged on top of the classroom was displayed "You in Wonderland!". She tilted her head to the side giving Laxus a questioning expression, "'You in Wonderland'? Did they misspell it?"

"Nope, it's exactly what they call it. They said you can imagine yourself as Alice looking around the place. They crafted most of the stuff in there to make it realistic as possible. They told me there were two other classes agreed to do this so all three classes are joined together to make different atmospheres of the story. There are some puzzles in them as well to make it entertaining."

"Wow, it sounds fun."

The door suddenly opened and Evergreen had her hands on her hip with a stern look on her face. "It is, now are you lovebirds coming in or not? You're blocking everyone else from entering."

Laxus rolled his good eye gently tugging Lucy in with him knowing the blonde was already turning scarlet. "Don't worry Ever we're going in. And I already paid you so don't haggle from me anymore."

Evergreen huffed and stood at the side letting them through. Out of Laxus's earshot she quickly whispers something into Lucy's ear. "Don't be nervous, he's trying his best not to make this awkward between the two of you." Her eyes grew wide as the blond male took her further into the exhibits.

"Huh, how is this an exact replica of Alice in Wonderland? What are these mice suppose to be, warriors? And why is this whole place so dark and gloomy, isn't it suppose to be more colourful and bright?"

Laxus felt like he was just talking to himself, no matter what he did he couldn't get anything out of the blond female behind him. He could feel her staring at his back, for what reason he doesn't know but it was starting to irritate him. Their hands were still clasp together and she hasn't said a word about it either.

"I thought Ever would actually splash in more green in this place…"

"…"

He sighed, enough was enough.

"Blonde are you done staring yet?"

He could hear her making an 'eep' sound and her head raises up quickly to face him. Her face was slightly red but he wasn't in the mood for teasing.

"Look if I'm that horrible of a companion then I can just leave right now and let you hang out with your friends after this ok? Or is it because everyone here is saying that I'm a thug of some sorts because of this bandage?"

She gasp at him, how could he say something like that? She started hearing some whispers about him being a thug or a gagster. Was she so enthralled by what Evergreen or what he wanted to do that she never heard of all those voices saying horrible stuff about him?

"Laxus…don't listen to what they are saying. Since when do you care about what they say? I know the truth, they don't. And…it's not that you're a horrible companion to have, you've helped me so much… I just don't know how to ever repay you. You're special to me, I don't care what others say about you. I know who you are… So… Thank you…"

The more she tried to say something her face was slowly turning redder and redder, her voice was also getting softer and softer but he was able to hear every word of it. She felt so embarrassed but she just couldn't stop herself.

She by this point couldn't stop from rambling, she didn't see Laxus's genuine smile. He quickly covered his mouth with his free hand as he felt his lips twitching, feeling that if he doesn't hold it in he won't be able to stop himself from laughing at such an adorable sight she is showing. She was vulnerable yet, so cute. Once he finally took a deep breathe, he took his hand off his mouth and petted her head in an affectionate manner. That stopped her rambling and didn't want to look up to face Laxus, it was way too much for her to handle…

And way too embarrassing to even speak to him after the whole tour of 'You in Wonderland'.

. . . . .

Day 2 – Evening

. . . . .

All the visitors have now left the vicinity leaving only the students and teachers at the school field. Everyone was sitting on the stands, some of the student council were bringing in the prizes and getting the mic ready. The students were getting anxious with all of the many voices overlapping throughout the field.

Once everything has settled the one of the student council stood up on stage trying to calm the students down.

"Alright students please be quiet!"

Voices still could be heard.

"Everyone please calm down!"

"QUIET DOWN! I WILL CANCEL THIS EVENT AND KEEP THE PRIZE ALL TO MYSELF!"

They all immediately quieten down as Makarov's voice reached to everyone's ears without even needing to have a mic on him. He grinned triumphantly and took the mic from his student.

"Ahem. Now I would like to thank each and every one of you, who worked hard to make this as successful as each and every year we hold the Hanami Festival! And as you know, each festival we had is always the same, except for this year! We added the Attraction Contest and I'm sure all of you are looking forward to see which class has won, am I right?"

The sounds soon magnitudes louder with students cheering at the top of their lungs.

"Ha ha! Alright settle down I will skip the formalities and announce the winner!"

Everyone soon quieten down as they watch Erza pass on the letter to Makarov. He slowly opens the letter and pulled out the paper. Everyone were leaning closer anticipating to see who had won.

"The winner is… Macao sensei's class!"

The whole class cheered, and the other classes congratulated them. Shaking hands to hugging, they were pleased with the results. Even Erza was ecstatic but quickly composed herself when Makarov gave her the letter, inside which stated they are the winners to be able to travel to a ski resort in Canada. She quickly said her thanks and ran towards her classmates having their celebratory cheer.

After everything was over, Makarov lit up the giant campfire in the middle of the field and music started playing over. Some of the students soon dancing in the middle of the fire enjoying themselves. Some were leaving and others stayed to chat with their friends a little longer.

The girls were still sitting in the stands chatting animatedly amongst themselves. Lucy felt her phone vibrated and took it out to see who messaged her.

I'll meet you at the sakura tree near the gate, see you there.

-Laxus

"Lucy-san who texted you?" Juvia asked her seatmate.

She whispered softly to her ear, "I have to go meet someone."

"Is it Laxus-san?"

Lucy turned pink and nodded slowly, Juvia smiled. "Juvia won't tell anyone, Juvia will keep it a secret."

Lucy held her hands and gave her a thankful smile. She quickly got up and ran towards the tree where Laxus mentioned.

Even in the evening the colours were still a brilliant sight to behold. And even more so when she sees Laxus leaning against the trunk with his signature arms folded to his chest. Her heart started to beat faster and the feeling of butterflies crawling around her stomach.

As she walked closer, he noticed her presence and signalled her closer. The closer she got he noticed her getting more twitchy and nervous. He sighed to himself unconsciously scratching his head thinking what he was going to say to her. He thought he already had everything planned out, he did but right now he was lost for words.

The past few minutes were torture to the both of them. They didn't know what to say to each other.

"Erm…Laxus. Is there a reason why you asked me to be out here…?"

There was a lump in his throat and he couldn't swallow it down. His saliva was dried up in his mouth and his mind was still scrambled up.

"…"

"…"

"…"

Lucy sighed, "If there's nothing you want to say I'm going back to my friends."

She turned around but she could hear him murmuring to himself. She looked at him sceptically as if trying she was trying to make out what he's trying to say.

"What? I can't hear you?"

He breathed through his nostrils and started pinching the bridge of his nose. After another few agonizing minute has passed, he looked at her with a blank face.

"What do you like about me?"

"H-huh?!"

He slowly repeated himself with his non-changing expression, "What. Do. You. Like. About. Me?"

Flushed with heat and the feeling of redness all around her face. Her brain was pounding, she could feel her heart beating from her wrist, the feeling of her fingers twitching slightly. It was like her whole body system was malfunctioning.

"W-what can I say?!" Indeed what could she say in this situation?

"Say whatever you want."

His face still hasn't changed the slightest, how could he be so calm about it! Lucy's mind was going haywire but Laxus was still as stonic as when he asked that question, how unfair!

"W-whatever I w-want?! Are you crazy! W-what do you want me to say?"

"…say I love you…"

"HUH?!"

"…say I love you…and…"

He slowly got closer to her, his hand gently touched her cheek and softly stoke it. His face going closer until his lips were almost touching her ear. She could feel his hot breath making her shiver slightly.

"I will say, I love you back."

As soon as he says that, his lips were now on hers. Her eyes were wide open, her mind had so many thoughts running amuck now became blank. She could feel his warm lips on hers, she could feel his passion and desire with that one kiss. His arms were now wrapped around her waist not planning on letting her go.

Her mouth was open slightly allowing Laxus to enter in. His tongue managed to worm its way and when it touched sparks soon came flying. She soon closed her eyes and melted into his arms. She wrapped her arms around his neck bringing her closer into the kiss. Both of them felt like they were on fire as they continued on. A simple kissed Laxus had planned was now turned into a fool blown make out session.

After breaking apart in need for air, they were breathing heavily as they gazed into each other. Her hands soon found its way to his cheek stroking it tenderly. Laxus turned to face her hand, he grasped it and kisses her palm, his left eye never looking away from her.

"I love you…"

I was thinking of writing a short epilogue writing about how their relationship went. Now right now it's in your hands. I've put up a poll on my profile to see if you guys want me to write one!

Anyways I would like to thank all of you for staying with me throughout this story! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I have!

Re-edit: Since I didn't get much votes to make an epilogue this will be officially the last chapter of this story. I hope you guys enjoyed it. :)
