Three Days of Nothing By Kelsey Braman

I woke up to see the sun shining through the blinds. It took me a few moments to realize where I was. When I knew that I was in the "Stock Pot Inn," I tiptoed downstairs. Standing behind the desk was Anju with a smile plastered on her face and a dull look in her eyes. "I hope you enjoyed your stay," she said in a monotone. I wonder how she always keeps a smile on her face, I thought while walking outside. The sun shining on my shoulders was like a hug of happiness. It made me sad thinking of the rain that was soon to come. Exiting out of the west side of clocktown, I entered another world it seemed like. In front of me was a long path that led to a vast ocean. It was my favorite view in termina field. Placing my ocarina to my lips I played a happy melody of friendship and trust. A call is a good way to describe it. I soon heard a familiar whinny and hoof beats heading my way. I saw Epona, my Chestnut horse with a white mane galloping to me. She was my only friend in this strange new world. Not new just not mine. I got on Epona and jumped the fences blocking us from the ocean. The closer we got the stronger the smell of salt and fish got. When we reached the shoreline I climbed off Epona. Taking the Zora mask out of my shield I stared at it. If I put this mask on I will be transformed yet again into the smooth, sleek and perfect swimming creature. If I don't I stay human and act cowardly the rest of my life. I put the mask on and screamed in pain as a surge of power conquered control of my body. When I could see again fins were sprouting out of my arms and I looked sort of like a deformed fish. I slid into the ocean and felt the waves pushing me outwards as if saying "Go Go." I glided through the ocean feeling the water push against my face. I crept into a secret entrance to a pirate hideout. I sneaked past the female guards and ended up in a room with a pirate holding two swords. Very sharp swords. I took off the mask and had my sword out in a flash. Swords clashed and clanked. Blood scattered everywhere covering the floor and our clothes. Finally admitting defeat she released me. By the time I got back to clock town I was soaked of rain and tired as a bear that's late to hibernate. I went to sleep under a hay roof to try and keep me dry. When I woke up and found out that I slept most of the next day I was terrified. In four hours this will all be crushed. Including me. I played a sad song of time and forgiveness. In a few seconds the evil moon was high up in the sky again and time had changed to morning. I had saved their lives. Again.
