Been…. awhile.

To get directly to the point, I'm splitting By Any Means into parts. Which means this is the final author note and update for By Any Means. For the last several months I've been hard at work on part 2 and other projects alongside Lord of the Morning, who has somewhat lost his passion for this story, as have I to a degree.

That does not mean that this story is being abandoned. As mentioned above, part 2 is being worked on. Just really slowly. We have other ideas and stories we want to write and thus By Any Means has been pushed off to the side quite a bit. However, I do still want to write for By Any Means and have been working on it by myself. I want to have a good amount of chapters ready to go before I post part 2, to not only make up for no new chapters for the last 7 months, but so that there's a good amount of content to read when I do start posting again.

There's also been a bit of going back and forth on how to proceed from where we left off with Arc 2: The Elephant in the Room pt 2. That was part of the reason why things got backed up as much as they did and then school and work for both Lord of the Morning and I also got in the way as well. So life.

I currently don't have a timetable for when part 2 will come out, as I'm just now getting back to working on part 2 and being diligent about it. However, if you do want to nag me about getting my lazy butt to work feel free to join my discord channel The Crack Barrel a : / / discord . gg / F9DYmHg. Just remove the spaces. There you can talk to me anytime, as I'm usually free, but if I don't respond, it just means I'm busy, not ignoring you and will get back to you asap. Edit: So I wrote this about a month ago, just to have in prep for when I do have a good amount of content done and ready. But I decided to up a few things. First the announcement of part 2(obviously) as well as the posting of the prologue for part 2! It is currently live and available to read right now!

The other thing you'll notice is that the original By Any Means is shorter. I've decided to remove all author notes just to make it a cleaner read through except for this note and the one that I will post when the first few chapters are posted in part 2!
