So this is just a small oneshot I wrote to go as a companion to a picture I drew, which you can find on my deviant art account if you just go to my profile and follow the link to it ;) I also have it posted on my tumblr account, bekascrazyrambles, together with this oneshot.

The story happens around half a year after the Fourth War is over and Naruto has a talk with Hinata about her confession, just fyi. I really hope they are IC as it's been a while since I've wrote anything!

Happy reading!

"Hinata!"

Pausing mid-step, Hinata sucked in a breath at the familiar voice. Quickly regaining her composure, she put on a smile and turned, ready to greet the blond back... Only to find herself nose-to-nose with a golden box. With a ribbon on it.

She blinked. Twice.

Laughing nervously, Naruto stuck his free hand deep into his coat s pocket. "Before you say anything, I know; it's early, since Christmas isn't for another couple weeks but I had been searching for a gift for you and now that I found it, well, I just thought it was better to give it you right now cos accidents happen and like, what if I lost it and-"

Hinata let out a soft giggle, effectively cutting Naruto's rant short as she reached up to take the small present. "It's alright, Naruto-kun. Though, you really didn't need to buy anything for me..."

"Nonsense!" The blond barked. "After the war was over, I told you I'd make an effort to get to know you better but I've been doing one hell of a sucky job at it." He admitted, poking the muddy ground with the tip of his rain boot.

"But it's alright; I know Tsunade-sama has been keeping you busy-"

"I still made a promise to you and I should have kept it." Naruto interrupted, looking up from the ground at the Hyuuga heiress. "After all, that's our nindo, right?" He smirked.

Stuttering, Hinata's face burst into flames. "I-I- Yes, but Naruto-kun-"

"This gift is just an apology!" Naruto exclaimed, tapping the box on Hinata's hands. "And to start making things right, I'd like you to go on a date with me, right now!" He said, saluting the still reddening kunoichi with a foxy grin.

Gasping, Hinata stared wide-eyed at the young man before her. Date! A date! So suddenly! Letting out the tiniest of wheezes, Hinata watched as the world around her tilted as her vision started going black, Naruto's surprised visage the last thing she saw before she lost consciousness.

Quickly reaching before she fell on the mud, Naruto held onto Hinata's dead weight, staring down at her still figure. "...I thought you were over this!" He whined, huffing. "Seriously! Why is it always around me-" Pausing, Naruto scrunched up his nose before his face went blank.

She always fainted around him. Him.

"...NO WAY!"

Yes, Naruto. HOW HARD IT IS TO FIGURE IT OUT?

I hope you liked it and let me know what you thought!
