Author Note: I have a couple reviews on this piece commenting about how they didn't understand it or something along those lines. Since this really needs some type of an explanation, I'll go ahead and give one! This was written for a drabble request/prompt challenge on my tumblr. It was done for the prompt "nightmare"-so, it is, a nightmare. It's not really explained in the story, and I apologize for that! But all that is happening in this small drabble is a nightmare. Thank you for reading!

He was drowning.

He was frozen.

Sanji was the only one who'd seen him go over, and he was frozen. His feet wouldn't move, they where glued to the deck. He could hear the sound of the waves crashing against the ship, he could hear the others screaming and running around—the storm was rough, so rough—

He could remember the face that Luffy made as he went over—a shocked and surprised look, not scared just—startled.

He was drowning.

He was frozen.

Zoro would have dived right in after him. His feet wouldn't be stuck. Nami, Usopp, Franky—all would have jumped in to save their captain. So why couldn't he? Why wouldn't his feet move. Why where they stuck—

A wave splashed him in the face, and he was knocked out of it. He took a startled step backward. He could move. Someone yelled at him, but he couldn't bring himself to answer. He could finally move. Running as fast as he could to the edge of the deck, he dived over not even bothering to kick off his shoes.

Struggling against the waves, he tried to swim down. But something was tugging him back up, like it was holding onto his feet. He gripped and pulled at the water, kicking his legs before he realized—

He was frozen.

And Luffy was still drowning.
