The rest of the day went quietly. After Kaidan got his satchel from Zevran, he decided to escort Bethany home to her mother and uncle. Zevran said he was going to 'visit' the blooming rose before he left Kirkwall. The sun went down quickly and the night came in. As the night settle in, people quickly clossed their shops and went home fast.

Kaidan took notice that Bethany also fasten the pace a bit. So he decided to ask "Why such a hurry? As he manage to catch up with her.

"Bandits tends to roam the night life, or worse there could be a blood mage nearby" She told him with an frighten look on her face.

"Are there a lot of blood mages in Kirkwall? he asked

She nodded and said "Since the templars treatment of mages are maybe the most brutal there is in all of Thedas, some use blood magic to get out. Some even stay in the city to gain power and plan to overthrow the knight-commander"

"Okay, lets say the circle got you, what would they proberly do to you?" He asked with a mix of curious and concern.

"Well since i have been an apostate for hold my life, they eighter make me tranquil, or go through my harrowing on the spot" She said

"What is a harrowing?"

"Its this test they make you take unless you wanna be made tranquil. They use lyrium to send you to the fade where you are to face a demon and resist it, or the templars will caught you down if you fail" She sais and shudders of the thought.

Kaiden looked a little puzzled "Is this common knowlegde?"

She shook her head and said "No, my dad told me. He was an fereldren circle mage here in Kirkwall before he met my mother"

They luckily arrived at Gamlen's house without getting jumped by criminals or blood mages this time. As Bethany open the door to step inside, she noticed Kaiden had turned around.

"Wait, dont you want to stay?" She asked

"Well its getting late soon" He said, as a reminder its a little dark.

"Are you sure you dont feel like staying? Garret is still in the deep roads, you could sleep in his bed maybe" She suggested while blushing. Kaiden just grinned and looked at the ground and then at Bethany.

"Through i would love to spend the night here milady, i need to get back to the hanged man. Since i got my satchel, i am in need of some planning to do" He answered, while showing the heavy looking satchel.

"I see" She sais in a low tone while looking down. This reminded her of their first encounter a year ago in Lothering. He quickly spots this and walks right up to her.

"But i got no plans for tomorrow, if it pleases you" He offered, trying to cheer her up.

A little smile could be found on Bethany as she looked back up at him and sais "I would like that"

"Then i bid you farewell and goodnight milady" He said while giving a bow. She just blushed of this and said "Goodbye Kaiden" Before quickly closing the door behind her

Meanwhile

As soon as Bethany closed the door, Kaiden decided to turn around and head over to the blooming rose. He made it around a few blocks before Isabella came in his path, giving her smirk smile as usual.

"I assume that there is a reason you keep an eye out for me?" He asked

"Had to check if she had the gut to make you stay the night" She said

Kaiden just chuckle a little "Through i would not mind that, but clearly she is still a little shy" he said

"Oh please, if we wait for her to take charge, we all be dust by then" She complained as she walked around Kaiden.

"Any reason why you checking me out?" He asked with a raised brow.

"Oh im just trying to picture you without the armor" She said in a sulty manner

"Right" he said and began making his move towards the hanged man, but Isabella quickly stood infront of his way.

"I also came to inform you, that i 'convinced' the inn keeper to let you have a room at the hanged man" She added

He looked at her in surprise of what she just did for him, but quickly looked at her suspicious.

"What?" She asked confused

"Does this room come at a prize?" He asked tiredly.

She looked shocked at that, and later insulted "Im just trying to do a good deed you idiot" she thinks for a moment and looks at him with a curious look on her face. "But now that you mention it, i can think of something"

He just sighed and said "Fine lets hear it"

"Go on a date with the girl" She demanded.

"We already planned to spend the day together tomorrow" He countered

She just shook her head and said "I know what kind of date you and her will be. To much chatting and not enough action"

"Why do you even care about this anyway?" He asked

She took a deep breath, signaling that she was going to be all serious now.

"Bethany is like a little sister to me. Young, pure and sweet as pudding. I dont want her to become what i am, but i atleast want her to have some fun instead of being nervous all the time a templar comes by. And if you have not figured it out yet, she is a virgin. Most men would kill for a girl like her, and she seems a liking to you, and you seem like a nice guy. Maybe to nice to be honest, but you wouldnt hurt her. And you really need to get over that orlesian, we already got a broody fella in the gang" She said, looking straight at him with a serious look on her face.

Kaiden started to get frustrated cause he really wanted to sleep. "Then what is it you want me to do?" He asked tiredly

Izzy just showed a smug smile and said "Go with her at somewhere the templars wont look, maybe the mountains outside the city"

"Okay i do that, can i go now?" He asked annoyed.

"Well arnt we touchy here tonight. Yes you may go now, oh and one more thing. Treat her right, or Garret and I will hunt you down" She warned and walked off.

Kaiden just focused of getting to the inn as quickly as possible.
