It feels so good to be back. Again I am so sorry for the hiatus but I really am back. I have so many ideas and plans for this story. This chapter is kinda short but I'll make sure to make the next one really long. XD

Chapter 11

Previously on Dark Crimson

" Please don't ask. Please Natsume." I pleaded as I felt more tears coming down. I could feel my walls crumbling.

"I can't." Natsume said before he hugged me.

'I can't do this. I just want this to end. I want my friends back. I-I want

Natsume back. But I can't. I have to protect him. I have to protect them all.

N-Natsume i'm sorry' I thought.

" No." I said as I pulled out of Natsume's grasp.

"What?" Natsume asked with a confused and concerned look on his face.

" I can't t-tell you anything." I said as I tried to stop crying.

" Mikan-"

"DON'T!" I yelled.

"Just don't." I said

"Why not. Why shouldn't I be concerned about you? Why shouldn't I worry about the only other person I trust in this world!" Natsume said getting mad.

"I don't want your trust and I don't want your friendship Natsume. I just want to be left alone." I said as I wiped the last tear away.

" Left alone? What about that jerk of a boyfriend then?" Natsume said irritated.

" What? Reo? What does Reo have to do with any of this?" I said irritated.

" Mikan why are you with that guy? How the hell can you even talk to him let alone date him!" Natsume said practically yelling.

" That is none of your business." I said, gritting my teeth.

Now I was getting mad.

" The hell it is!" Natsume yelled.

" I'm out of here." I said as I went to leave. To bad Natsume was blocking my way.

" Are you going to move or am I gonna have to kick you like the last time." I said glaring.

Natsume just glared at me as I glared back. We stayed like that, refusing to look away, until we heard running.

"Natsume is Mikan there?" Kazuma said obviously not seeing me.

"I'm right here." I said as Natsume side stepped away from the door.

Next thing I know i'm being squished in a bear hug.

"K-Kazuma can't b-breathe." I said.

"Oh sorry." Kazuma said as he let me go.

" It's ok." I said.

" No it's not okay." Kazuma said.

He was mad. Holy hell he was mad. When I say mad i'm mean full out Hulk mad and I was the one facing the wrath.

" WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING! WE WERE WORRIED SICK! WHEN EMIKO FOUND YOUR BED EMPTY WE THOUGHT THE WORSE! HOW COULD YOU JUST UP AND LEAVE WITH NO NOTE!" Kazuma yelled.

I didn't even look at Natsume but I knew he was shocked. The calm and collected Kazuma yelling his head off, now that's a scene.

" I'm sorry." I said refusing to look Kazuma in the eye.

" Look at me Mikan." Kazuma said.

I looked up expecting him to still be mad but he wasn't. He just had this face of relief and happiness on.

" I'm sorry to. I shouldn't have yelled at you like that. It's just that Hotaru was panicking so then I panicked and everyone was so worried and I swear I've never seen your brother run so fast." Kazuma said, laughing at the end.

" What the hell are you two talking about?" Came a voice from the corner of the room.

I completely forgot about Natsume and now he was gonna be even more curious and suspicious.

"Nothing." I said stoic.

" Don't lie polka. What I just witnessed wasn't nothing." Natsume said irritated.

" It's none of your damn business Hyuga so stay out of it. Besides, school is gonna start soon and I have to get ready." I said irritated.

" Tch whatever." Natsume said as he walked out the door.

" He's so stubborn." Kazuma said chuckling.

" Yea. Anyway why was Emiko up so late and why did she go to my room?" I asked.

"She had a bad dream and wanted to spend the night in your room. It was quite a shock when she found your bed empty." Kazuma said.

" I'm sorry. I had a bad dream too." I said.

"The one by the lake?" Kazuma asked.

"Yea." I said.

"Hey it was a dream ok. It's not gonna happen." Kazuma said giving me a reassuring hug.

" Come on. Let's go get ready for class and tell everyone i'm ok." I said as we broke apart.

"Ok." Kazuma said smiling.

I called Hotaru on the way back and told her what happened. When we got to my dorm I told Kazuma I'd meet him in class. He wasn't too happy about it but said ok. By the time I was dressed and ready I only had five minutes to get to class, so I decided to run...like hell. I finally got to class with only a minute to spare.

"Morning." I said stoic as I entered the class.

"Morning Mikan-chan!" Anna and Nonoko said in unison.

" You're late." Hotaru said.

" No I'm not. I made it with one minute to spare." I said sitting down.

It seems Natsume wasn't here along with Ruka.

" Morning sweetcheeks." Reo said from behind me.

" Morning." I said with a fake smile.

" You rehearsing tonight?" Reo asked smirking.

" Nope. Hotaru is letting us take a break." I said.

"Cool I'll come by later on." Reo said.

I smiled and turned around as Narumi came in. He mainly talked about the competition and how excited he was for us. By the time lunch came it felt like a year had passed. When I got my food and sat down everyone was quiet.

" What's up?" I asked.

"Nothing." Anna said nervously.

"Tell me." I said glaring at her.

It took her a couple of seconds but she finally caved in.

"Ok! We were planning to have a birthday party for Natsume because Koko told Permy that it was his birthday on the 27th, but we know you aren't on good terms with them so we didn't know how to tell you." Anna said really fast.

"I keep telling you guys that you can do whatever. Just cuz' I dont like them doesn't mean there has to be difficulties between us." I said.

"We could go sweetcheeks." Reo said from next to me.

"I do love a party." Reo said smirking.

" I don't think it's that kind of party." I said.

"Hm" Reo said.

" You could come." Nonoko said.

" Sorry but i'd rather not. Natsume and I aren't on good turns and i would hate to ruin a birthday party." I said.

"How about instead we have a little party ourselves." Reo said smirking seductively as he wrapped his arm around my waist and snuggled into my neck.

The entire lunch table went silent. I could only imagine what they were thinking.

"Uh Mikan what does Reo mean by that?" Anna asked nervously.

"Yea Mikan. What does Reo mean?" Kazuma said trying not to seem angry.

"He wants to go clubbing." I said.

" That wasn't cool ruining my fun sweet cheeks." Reo said smirking as he let go of me.

" That wasn't funny Reo-kun." Nonoko said.

"Why what did you think i meant?" Reo asked still smirking.

"Nothing." Anna and Nonoko said blushing bright red.

"Anyway, I don't think going to a club is a good idea." Kazuma said.

"Why not?" Reo asked.

" I am not going clubbing so both of you forget about it." I said before they started arguing.

" Whatever." Reo said annoyed.

" Anyway, what should we do for Natsume's birthday?" Anna asked.

" Anything as long as it's not a surprise party." I said nonchalantly.

" Why?" Nonoko asked confused.

" Because he hates surprise parties. Don't ask me why cuz' I don't know." I said stoically.

" Okay." Anna and Nonoko said.

The day went by pretty fast after lunch. Ruka and Natsume didn't show up and quite frankly I didn't care. Right now I was on the couch in my dorm relaxing.

*knock knock*

"DOORS OPEN!" I yelled.

" tsk tsk what if I was one of your father's men come to kidnap you." Came Reos' voice.

" Then I believe the they would have kicked the door down instead of knocking Einstein." I said sarcastically.

" Whatever." Reo said as he sat next to me.

" Whatcha doing?" Reo asked.

" Nothing really just thinking." I said.

" About?" Reo asked.

" I just want the competition to be here already!" I said irritated.

" So I can beat you?" Reo asked smirking.

" I'm not in the mood for your games Reo." I said, glaring at him.

" Didn't I tell you sweetcheeks. All this is a game. You asked for my help and you are the one who-"

" I KNOW!" I yelled cutting him off.

" I'm the one who made a deal with you and I'm the one that pays the price." I said as I got up.

" Where are you going?" Reo asked.

" Anywhere but here." I said as I slammed the door shut.

However Reo decided to follow me. As much as I tried to lose him it didn't work and we ended up in the forest behind the school.

" Are you done running away from?" Reo asked.

"I wasn't running." I said as I leaned against a tree.

"Stubborn as always I see." Reo said smirking.

" You're just as stubborn as me." I said.

" What's bothering you?" Reo asked as he put his hands on my hips.

I let him.

" I don't know. Everything I guess." I said sighing.

" Hm I know what you need." Reo said smirking.

" What do I need?" I asked looking suspiciously at him.

"You need a party." Reo said, still smirking.

" I told you I'm not going to a club." I said a little annoyed.

"Invite your friends then. It will be good for you." Reo said.

" Yea a party is definitely great with my father and his men looking for me." I said sarcastically.

" I'll handle that. You just make sure you wear something….that isn't what you wearing now. I could pick your clothes out." Reo said smirking.

" If I left my clothes up to you I'd be wearing tank tops and short shorts." I said laughing.

" You make me sound like a pervert sweet cheeks." Reo said.

"That's because you are." I said.

" Fine. You pick out the-" Reo started but then stopped.

" What's wrong?" I asked confused.

" We have company." Reo said as he leaned closer.

" Is it-"

"It's not your father's men but rather your crimson-eyed friend and I know exactly what to do." Reo said smirking.

" What?" I asked.

"Kiss." Reo said.

I looked at Reo and saw that he was waiting on my permission. I looked at his lips, leaned in and kissed him. I felt his arms wrap around my waist as he deepened the kiss. There were no sparks or anything. Just pain. Pain for hurting Natsume. Pain for dancing with the devil. Pain from everything that's happened.

Also I have a poll on my profile that I would like all of you to take part in. I'm trying to figure out Mikan's love interests for my future chapters. I'm giving til June 30th and then i'm closing the poll. Ja ne XD
