Hey guys! I am writing again! I missed it and you all! Beware, very intense feels in here XD

Count D had recieved the news of the wolf attack on the mountains. He had ordered imIadiately leave for mountains hours earlier than what was planned. He imagined how the wolves could have killed everybody and he would hate it if anyhing had happened to Alina and Laura.

Alina and he had a past, he had fallen in love with her when she knocked on his door one night years ago, begging for a job and that she would do anything for shelter and food. She fell in"Iove with him aswell but one night he learned that she was pregnant with her late husband's child and he knew he could not let himself be with her long enough to marry her.

The carraige ride was long and cold for it snowed endlessly. He stifled a yawn and peered out the window worriedly, watching and waiting for a sign of blood, of wreckage, of horses, of terror. Anything that will tell him he is near to his Alina.

He was also worried about the girl, he knew she was tired from tending him the past few days. She was such a dear child if only she was his own. The icy moon shone through the windows even if it was around 6pm, Winter nights always fell too soon but that didn't bother the count.

He heard yelling from outside and opened the window to see two carts smashed into planks of wood and splinters, people lying on blankets nursing their wounds, horses lying down from exhaustion and then he saw was scared him the most. Alina and Laura lying lifelessly on a blanket separate from the sick people.

Count D practically jumped out the carraige and ran to Alina's side and lifted her up. "Bring Laura to my carraige and get the others into the extra carts we brought!" He barked at one of the cart drivers before he lay Alina in his carraige.

Laura felt a cold damp chill all over her body, it was the only thing keeping her from completely blacking out. She felt weak and hungry like her body was protesting for a source of stregnth. She coughed again. More blood. She was covered from the chin to the waist in blood and pespiration from fever but she felt freezing cold.

She heard a familiar voice yelling orders but she didn't have the strength to remembee who it belonged to. She coughed again, watching her crimson life fluid splatter against her deathly pale hand. She then saw through the corner of her eye that her mother was being lifted from the blanket they lay on.

It was not long before she felt herself being lifted and carried accross the snow. She willed herself to stare at the moon for she felt this may be the last time she ever saw it. She did not have much time to do so because she was put inside a warm carraige it felt amazing on her cold body but it was not long before she felt cold again as paniced voices removed her extra blankets

Her body was entirely covered wet with sweat but she shivered coldly as the carraige surged onwards. She heard the whip of the driver urging the horses on, she heard the howl of the wind that mixed with the cries of the wolves who hoped they will have another taste of people tonight.

Count D was trembling. He had never seen so much blood come out of such a small body and it ached that he could not do anything about it when he most certainly knew how to clean up the blood. As for Alina she was shuddering in her slep she had coughed up a lot of blood too but her body was too weak todo so anymore.

When the carraige came to a stop near the local doctor's house he felt hope rise in him and he lifted Alina gently out the carraige and started climbing the stairs as fast as he could. Behind him the driver was carrying Laura who was leaving a trailof blood that dripped down her arm into the pure white snow.

The doctor stared in shock when he saw the bodies covered in blood and hurriedly showed the two men where to lay the bodies. He checked Alina first, her breathing was laboured, her pulse was faint and the blood indicated that this was a seriois illness that she would probably die from he looked over at the girl and saw she maybe had some more time or less time judging that her body still had the strength to cough up more blood.

Laura could feel the air around her was warmer and the silverly moon no longer was visible to her. She was placed on a soft bed that smelled of coins and salty skin. She heard her mother weakly moan that she wanted Laura. I'm here, Mama. She thought but could not muster herself to say it aloud. She then heard her mother breathe her last breath and catxh eye of Count D holding her mother to his chest, his shoulders shaking as he cried openly.

"Can you save the little one?" He asked desparately in the doctor's direction.

"It is too late. I can do nothing but let you be with her in her last moments."he replied walking out of the room.

Count D came next to Laura and brushed the sweat-soaked hair away feom her neck as he whispered "I won't loose you too."

Laura felt a sharp stab in her neck that burned more than her lungs and her body before she felt a peaceful warm feeling as she drifted off to sleep.

Count D watched as Laura slept in her bed at the new house. He could not tell how she was for she was pale and barely breathing which could either mean success or that he had just slowed her death down.

"What do we do when she awakes tomorrow?" Vlad asked his brother.

"This is IF she awakens tomorrow and you will have to tend to her new abilities" he replied without taking his eyes off the sleeping girl.

"Do we tell her what she is now?" Vlad asked now turning to look at his brother.

The count shook hia head.

"But what about her-" he was cut off.

"I said no Vlad! NO WE DO NOT SAY A WORD, until I say so." He said calming his voice not to wake Laura who stirred when h yelled at his younger brother.

Oh Alina, I wish the snow had not kept me for so long! I could have saved you as well but I did save your darling Laura.

I warned you! I did I honestly did! This was a long chapter but I hope you enjoyed. Oh and yes this is where Draculaura's memories are from in Back and deader than ever on page 121.
