FLUFFYNESS FIC. BEWARE! Also, this IS a ZADR. Don't like, don't read.

Zim stared at Dib from across the room. He was feeling nervous, very normal for him now that he knew the truth about his mission. He'd found out three years ago, in sixth grade, but never told Dib. He just sucked it up, and acted normal around the human, and when he was alone he'd let all his pain out. He didn't want Dib's sympathy or suspicion at the time. Now, he wished he had said something, even if it would have given Dib a chance to turn him in. It would've been better than constantly feeling betrayed, useless, and unwanted. Flinching away from any form of person to person contact, used to nothing but pain.

The bell snapped Zim out of his trance. Slowly, nervously and regretfully he stood from his desk and walked toward the door. Hoping Dib wouldn't notice him.

"Zim!" No such luck. Zim flinched at Dib's tone, and turned around. Checking his expression quickly, he made sure it was neutral.

"What, human?" Zim asked, adding hate to his tone. He hoped it wasn't obvious he was faking it.

"What're you planning this time? Wait, nevermind. It won't work anyway." Dib laughed and pushed Zim down to the ground then walked around him still laughing. Zim sighed as he picked himself up. Grimacing, he dusted himself off and ignored the mob of laughing teens. He huffed and stalked outside, ready to just go home.

Zim plopped down on the couch with a grunt. He took a sip of the Irken soda he'd gotten from the fridge, going over the days lessons trying to remember all his homework. Twenty math equations...easy. Four chapters of that stupid book they were reading in Lit. He could get through that. Then, science. All he had to do for that was finish filling out a worksheet. Easy. Sighing, he decided to read the book first. Might as well get it over with, he figured. He flipped to the page that he'd dog-eared, and began reading. That's when the telephone rang.

Okay... so that's the prologue. I hope you guys like it! I've had this idea swimming in my head for months. This prologue is showing what happened in the past, the rest of the story takes place after high school, Zim moved away and was never seen by any of his class mates though. Just to warn you guys, this fic will probably have a couple songs in it. Anyways... review! :D
