Jace ran, but no matter how fast he ran he wasn't fast enough! The ravenor demon(I couldn't remember any demon) pierced Clary's heart with his sharp fingers. She opened her eyes wide, filled with shock and confusion, as she looked down to her bleeding wound and slowly fell to the ground with a thud. Jace took his seraph blade and yelled "Ithuriel" the blade glowed then, just like the demon had done with Clary, Jace stuck his blade into the demons heart with quick gracefulness. The demon fell to the ground and quickly vanished, but before it did Jace was already by Clary's grabbed her in his arms with gentleness and called for help. She was breathing and alive, but barely. Jace grabbed her hand, "Don't Clary! Don't you dare leave me! Please don't!" Clary turned her eyes to face Jace's. She knew she wasn't going to make it,no matter how fast helped arrived " I...love...you, don't forget...that. As.. long as you...live Jace. You... are the best...thing in my ...life" Jaces' golden eyes filled up with tears as Clary's bright green eyes slowly drained of its light. Her chest rose one last time and she went limp in his arms. Finally, the tears Jace had been holding fell slowly down his face as he bent down and kissed Clary's cold lips one last time, "I love you, I love you too Clary!" He slowly layed her body on the floor just as Isabelle and Alec got there. Jace turned to look at his adoptive brother and sister and for the first time since Alec and Isabelle had known Jace, they saw their brother sob over his love's body.
