Not That Girl

Sitting next to Oga Tatsumi and Hilda was not a big deal.
At least, that's what Aoi Kunieda kept telling herself. She knew her crush on Oga Tatsumi the Child-rearing Badass was the worst-kept secret in Ishiyama, but still, it wasn't a big deal.
It wasn't a big deal that she could see how coordinated Oga and Hilda have become when it came to taking care of Baby Beel. Without even uttering a single word, Oga knew when to let Hilda hold Baby Beel, just as Hilda knew when to give Baby Beel back to his father.
It wasn't a big deal that Oga and Hilda usually talked in whispers and had conversations that she could only wish to hear.
It wasn't a big deal that, even with their constant bickering and name-calling, it was obvious that there was a deep level of understanding between Oga and Hilda that she could never comprehend.
It wasn't a big deal that she could see how Oga always had his eyes set on the golden-haired girl in front of him, instead of the lessons on the board.
It wasn't a big deal that she could sometimes see Hilda steal a glance at the father and son every now and then.
Sitting next to Oga Tatsumi wasn't a big deal at all. Not at all.
Not at all.
Fin.
