Title: Two Squared Times Five Squared
Rating: K+. There are references to sex, violence, and death, but they're pretty oblique.
Warnings: None. If you're old enough to watch Doctor Who, you should be fine.

Disclaimer: Um, this is fanfiction. Hopefully you realize that this means I own nothing you recognize here.

Author's Notes: On a whim I've decided to start a Fanfic100 challenge. I was going to do 100 Sokkla sentences, but I felt like the prompts worked much better for River and the Doctor. Each entry is 50 words long (half a drabble). I'll probably post them in batches of five.

One to Five

001. Beginnings.

The first time he meets her, she knows everything about him and she seems to like him anyway. The first time he meets her, she's confident and demanding, and there's a terrifying tingling he hasn't felt in a long, long time. The first time he meets her, he loses her.

002. Middles.

Sometimes she ponders how she will only ever be a middle to him—there was so much more before and will be so much more after her—and the only thing more terrifying than that is the thought that once upon a time someone thought she would be his end.

003. Ends.

She's dying for him. She was born because of him, raised for him, lived for him. Long ago, she'd realized he would be the death of her, but it's funny, giving up her remaining regenerations wasn't such a big sacrifice it turns out; they wouldn't have helped her now anyway.

004. Insides.

He fumbles around, looking for spots that last time he knew by heart. He doesn't know what he's looking for, doesn't know what to do when he finds it. Part of her wants to shout for him to stop, but she's afraid that this might be the very last time.

005. Outsides.

It's a dark summer night in 1969 in a back alley. Music is pouring out of the bar and the two of them are too drunk to operate a lock or a screwdriver. That's when she learns the outside of the Tardis can be just as fun as the inside.

Author's Notes: Reviews would be nice. Not terribly sure this is worth continuing.
