Chapter 12
AUTHOR'S NOTE(s): Hi! ^_^ Euni here~ I'm so sorry I haven't updated this for a while oh well since I'll be turning a year old TT_TT (on the 24th) I decided to do a (kinda) mushy update. hohoho~
The feeling of a cold water being splash at you in the middle of a winter morning, that is exactly the feeling that Lucy felt when she remembered everything. As she tremble in fear, anger, anxiety and her romantic feelings for the man named Natsu Dragneel.
How could they lie to her? And of all people how could Natsu like to her? Is what she thought. For a long time, during her stay from the hospital they never once mention anything about her job as Natsu's body guard? Does that mean that because she wasn't able to execute a perfect performance in protecting Natsu, now she's not needed? Will they throw her away now? A lot of things started going through her mind as she felt her thoughts and emotions swirling around.
Unable to take it anymore, Lucy screamed in pain and at that moment Natsu, the doctors and nurses came rushing towards her room. "Lucy! Lucy!" Natsu cried out. At first he was shock to see the state the room was in, pure red flowers scatter around the floor, the messy room and the screaming Lucy, something must have definitely happen. As he tried to grab Lucy, his eyes widen when the blonde haired girl pulled away from him and as she look at him with nothing but anger.
"Le...let go of me!" Lucy exclaimed as she glare at the pink haired brat that has been giving her a hurt expression. "You...Natsu...how...how could you lie to me?"
"Wha...Lucy...you're memory..."
"Why!? Why didn't you mention, not even once that I'm working as your bodyguard!?" She yelled with tears as the other nurses try to push her down "Not Erza, Gray...not even you!? Just why!?"
"Please calm down!" One of the nurses exclaimed
"Hurry and hold her down! We need to give her some shot to calm her down!" Exclaimed by the doctor.
"Natsu!? Why!? Do...do you intend to throw me away?" She said with tears drowning her beautiful chocolate colored eyes "Am I a failure? Is that why?"
"No!? Lucy! You're never a failure!" Natsu said as he try to get a hold of the blonde "I...I told them not to say anything about you being a bodyguard because I don't want you to get hurt! I never want to see you lying unconscious in a hospital bed again!"
"Natsu-sama! Please move. She might attack you!" The doctor said, pissed by what he said Natsu yelled at them and said "Get out! Get out of this room!"
"But...Natsu-sama!"
"I told you to leave us alone! Its an ORDER!" He exclaimed as he glare at them with pure anger, afraid to feel more of his wrath and to lose their jobs the nurses and the doctor followed his order and leave the two of them. Lucy who was trembling in fear as her tears continue to fall down and Natsu who tries to hold the blonde in his arm again.
"Lucy...I..."
"I'm a failure as a bodyguard" Lucy said
"No...you're no-"
"I'm a failure!" Lucy exclaimed "I...I let my feelings took control of me...that's why you were kidnapped! That's why you were put into such state"
"No! You didn't! You protected me! You were hurt in my place!" Natsu said as he tried to go near her. True it was Lucy who suffered the most but its also a fact that Natsu had some bruises and was hurt during that incident.
Then suddenly Lucy's trembling hands reach for Natsu's right shoulder, tracing the scar he has "I...I remember you were hurt so badly that it even leaves a scar...this...scar" Then the pink haired lad smile at her gently and place his left hand over her hand "No, this scar isn't enough...I wasn't able to protect you in the end...I was still the one that hurt you."
"NO! You're not supposed to protect me! I'm your bodyguard! I promise to protect you so I trained hard to get stronger but in the end it wasn't enough I...I wasn't able to protect you and placed you in such danger" Lucy said as her whole body tremble in fear.
"True you're my bodyguard" Natsu said as he began to kiss Lucy's fingertip, her fingers, her hand and her arm.
"Wha...what are you doing!?" Lucy said, her face red from all the kisses and the embarrassment. Sure she had an amnesia but it doesn't changed the fact that her feelings towards the pink haired lad grew stronger and such actions is still bad for her heart. "Let...let go of me..."
"No!" Natsu sternly said "I would never let go of this hand again"
"But...I..." Lucy said as she try to pull her hand away from Natsu, but Natsu is too strong for her.
"No matter what you say, no matter what you do. Even if you hate me I don't have any plans of letting go of this hand!" Natsu exclaimed as he look at her in the eye...her heart beating faster as she felt her face grow hotter.
"You're my bodyguard but at the same time you're the woman that I love" Natsu said as she place Lucy's right hand over his heart "Can't you hear it? For eight freaking years my heart has been beating this loud for you. All those years this hands, this body, this heart everything has been wanting you! Do you know how hard it was for me not jump in front of you? Do you know how it was for me to have control over this feelings?"
"Na...tsu"
"Do you even know why I won't let other guys come near you? Why I never let you go to school? Can't you see I'm not that kind and understanding? I'm very possessive to the point that I want to manipulate your everything? Why did you think I asked you to become my bodyguard eight years ago? Do you really think its because I pity the orphaned little girl eight years ago?" He said as he look at her eyes with so much feelings to the point that its overflowing "The answer is NO! I said that because when I saw you eight years ago I already wanted to manipulate you and your everything!
"..."
"By being my bodyguard you'll have no choice but to be with me and think nothing but me!" Natsu said as he lean over her and hug her "That's why...that's why please don't go on saying that I can't protect you..."
"..." Lucy was silent, afraid that if she say a word everything might just be nothing but a dream that's why she won't dare say a word but the truth is her dark emotions had subsided down long ago and right now the tears falling down her eyes are tears of nothing but happiness.
"Please just let me protect you. I didn't say a word about you being a bodyguard because I never want to see you hurt again, I never want to experience that despair that I felt when I saw you lying down on the bed, not even moving and hurt; afraid that you might never wake up again?" Natsu said as he felt himself tremble from the thought of it. "Even if I have to put you into a cage and hide you to the world I'll do it...because I could never risk losing you"

Filled with happiness, Lucy break off the hug they were in and began to reach for the pink haired lad's face and as she stare gently at his onyx eyes, she gave him a big smile with tears of happiness flowing down her white skin and with her whispering his name hotly through his ear are the words that made the lad widen in shock.
"Natsu" and then the next thing he knew is that her soft lips crashes into his.
Hmmm...so how's that?
