The Prophesy Foretold

3rd Person POV

The gods were talking among themselves about the new prophesy that was given to them.

"I say we do it, there's no other way around it."

"There has to be another way though, if we do it, there's no telling what could happen between them."

"Be quiet both of you! We will do it! I decree that we will unite the Greeks and the Romans."

"But-"

"My word is final Ares!"

"Fine, whatever. Don't come crying to me when the Romans start attacking the Greeks."

"Before we start another argument, Apollo can you recite the prophesy again."

"Sure, here it is again,

Soon old foes shall arise again,

Enemies that were thought to be trapped in chain,

Both Rome and Greece combines,

To seek out the help of the canines,

The leader of them will be the Savior of Olympus,

The forgotten hero, the missing leader, for his name is Perseus,

Should you not seek out for the canine's assist,

Everything you know will surely cease to exist.

Artemis twitched when she heard Apollo say Perseus. Why had she heard that name before? Could it have been a man who angered her and she turned into a jackalope? Or was it something more?

It frustrated her that she couldn't remember who Perseus was. She desperately wanted to know who the man was. But why did the prophesy say that he was the Savior of Olympus? Wasn't the Savior of Olympus Nico DiAngelo, son of Hades? It made no sense whatsoever, but then again, prophesies were always confusing.

"Hey Arty! Lil' sis! Hello, Olympus to Artemis!" Apollo yelled at her causing her to come out of her thoughts.

"What do you want Apollo?" she asked him. Then added on, "And I'm not your lil' sis!"

"Jeez Arty. All I wanted to say was that the meeting's over. Now you better get going, I hear that some of the Hunters are beating up some of the boys at CHB. We need all the demigods we have for the upcoming war." Apollo explained.

"Wow, you actually said something smart for once." Artemis complimented. But as she was walking away, she muttered

"Wish we had more of those moments." And she flashed to CHB.

Somehow, Artemis didn't see the silhouette behind her throne, watching her every move. The figure moved out from behind the throne nodded to Hestia who returned the gesture with her own. Hestia watched the figure go back into the shadows and disappear. The last thing she saw before the figure disappeared was its pale yellow eyes looking right where Artemis had flashed away.

So what do you think? Was it good? Bad? Okay?

It took me forever to write the prophesy because I didn't like how it sounded. I still think that I did a crappy job on it. I didn't know whether to end it on Perseus or exist, so I decided on doing the latter.

Sorry for rambling on about my awful prophesy. I hope you guys liked the chapter. I'm sorry I didn't update last weekend or the weekend before that, but school's killer. Especially Physics and English.

Also Hurricane Isaac caused power to go out in the middle of me writing this, so I had to wait for the power to come back on and then re-write the chapters.

Anyway, you have to do one thing before you go off to another story: REVIEW!
