Chapter 26: Study, Study, Study, Exams!

Stella slammed down a heavy book of god-knows-what onto the desk. "Listen up, Kiddo's! Exams are coming up in two weeks, and I want all of you to fail- I mean, you all must study extremely hard and get good grades!"

Groans and murmurs could be heard from the students.

"Aw man, seriously? It's that time of the year already?" questioned a lazy student.

"No way! I was planning on concentrating on my beauty for the next two weeks, not study!" complained a female student from the corner of the class.

"Now, all of you, I'm going to do my best to make sure all of you pass this exam. I don't want anyone failing like dropout boy over there...not that I'm looking at anyone in particular." Stella's dark eyes bored into a certain redhead. "The intense lessons begin today, and I expect every single one of you to pass this exam with flying colours, you hear me? So, good luck, and do your best!"

The dark crow leaned over, and muttered to the blue prince, "Hey, isn't it weird? Miss Stella's being awfully nice. Especially that last part with the 'good luck etc. etc.'."

Chung glanced at Stella, then back at Raven. "Huh...now that you mention it, it is a little odd."

The teacher's ear twitched, and she kicked the desk down in anger, "WHAT'S WRONG WITH BEING MOTIVATIONAL FOR ONCE?! CAN'T YOU SEE I'M DESPERATE FOR THE CLASS TO GET GOOD GRADES?! IT'S NOT LIKE I ACTUALLY WANT YOU TO PASS, IN FACT, I COULDN'T CARE LESS IF YOU FAILED, BUT I HAVE TO NOW BECAUSE THIS WOULD AFFECT MY PRIDE!"

Raven didn't even cower; he merely raised his eyebrow. "Our grades affect your pride?"

"YES, THAT STUPID NARCISSIST RICHIAN AND I MADE A BET ON WHOEVER'S CLASS GETS THE HIGHEST GRADES, WILL GET A PAY RISE AND SPECIAL TREATMENT FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR!" Stella paused. Oh crap…

"Heehee, so that was her true motive." Rena giggled while applying makeup to her face.

The classroom fell silent.

Elsword was the first to break the ice. He let out a hearty laugh, and grinned mischievously, "Well, if that's the case, I think we all oughtta fail on purpose, right?!"

Stella sweat-dropped. "N-Now, now, kiddos, surely we can sort something out…" It was clear her confidence was draining.

Chung chuckled and shot her his best prince smile. "Of course we can! Miss, what do you say about rewarding us if we get top grades?"

"Err...reward?" She felt pressure accumulating from the pretty boy's dazzling smile. "E-Er-hem, right, a reward to all of you IF you get top grades! If I see a single student not in the top 100, well then, tough! Got it?" Her fist slammed down on the desk making her pupils flinch.

The redhead raised his hand with boredom written all over his face. "Miss, what's our reward then?"

His question made the others murmur. "Yeah yeah, it better be worth it…"

"What if it's something lame?"

"Aww, that would suck!" A student groaned.

"Heh, that's a stupid question, Elsword!" She folded her arms rather proudly. "Of course, your reward would compensate all of your hard work!"

"Tell us, what IS it!?" The class chimed in.

"Your reward shall be….shall be...will be...er-hem, your reward…"

Aisha raised an eyebrow. "Our reward…?"

"The reward which will be awarded to all of you when you win will be…"

"Will be?" Eve's golden eyes bore into the teacher.

"Something...worth your efforts. The reward of which will belong to all of you once and if every single person here makes it into the top 100 of the school will be something worth your efforts and well worth the time spent studying. This...great non-disappointing prize...that you have a chance of gaining for self-benefit or what-nots will be…!"

"STOP STALLING AND TELL US ALREADY!" The students raised their voices and shook their fists with impatience.

"You reward will be-will SOON be- after the exams and results are all out…"

Her pupils eyes widened as they anxiously waited for the answer.

She cut off her sentence with another filler."-Are you sure you're ready for this?"

"GAWDDAMMIT, I SWEAR I'M GONNA LOSE IT!" Elsword got up suddenly, knocking the back of his chair over as he held his head in exasperation. He heard a thump behind him , no doubt it was Aisha face-desking or Lowe flipping a table. "Seriously, teach, if you don't tell us soon everyone here's just gonna give up!"

"Alright, alright, calm down everyone. I was just getting to the good part." Stella cleared her throat once again. "The reward you shall receive if you meet the conditions and requirements previously stated-"

"Yeah, yeah, cut the crap, next." Raven butted in with his wrist circling the air as if to motion 'keep talking or carry on'.

"Oh, look, the bell!" At the that exact moment the school bell echoed around them and Stella was out of the room.

"Huh. Whaddaya know? Saved by the bell." The redhead slouched in his seat with his left cheek resting in his palm.

"So...no prize then?" Rena pouted in disappointment as she turned her hand around, examining her nails.

"Oh, no. We can't have that happening." The blond boy's lips curved into a small smirk. "I propose-"

"Kyaaa! Chung's proposing to me!?" A fangirl cut in from next to him.

He sweatdropped and dismissed the interruption. "Ahahaha...no. I was going to say, I propose that we all show her our best and demand something after the results are out!"

"Yosh, let's do that! Work hard everyone!"" The class cheered as Elsword punched the air. However his moment of optimism suddenly turned negative as he felt a hand grasp onto his shoulder firmly. Shivers ran down his spine as he felt someone's cool breath on the back of his neck. He turned his head slowly like a broken marionette.

Aisha's dark gaze and malevolent smile had the poor guy wanting to jump into anyone's arms- even Raven's. "You will pass the test, right? With flying colors, into the top 100, right~?"

"Raven, Chung, hold me!" His arms hooked around his mate's necks as he scrambled away from the class president.

"I don't swing that way, sorry."

"Okay, that's just rank!" The two rejected harshly.

The redhead cried a waterfall as he imagined the soon-to-be future of torturous education from a certain purple-head. "What did I do to deserve this…!?"

Many students were panicking over the pressure for the exams, although the Queen Bee didn't have the word 'panic' in her dictionary.

"No, no, no, and no." she flipped through thin pieces of paper, while shaking her head.

Aisha pulled her desk over to Rena's, and began munching on her morning snack. "What are you doing, Rena? Are those cue cards for the exams?"

The beauty replied in a rather plain voice, "No, they're cellphone numbers from boys which I've collected since the beginning of my first year here."

The Class Prez paused, and looked at the papers again. That sure is a lot of numbers… "And...what do you plan on doing with those?"

Rena flashed a smile at her friend, and flicked a lock of her long beautiful hair. "Isn't it obvious? Call up some guys and schedule one date for each day of the exam week."

"Er...you're not going to study, or even go to the exam…?" Aisha sweat dropped.

She looked at her with eyes full of surprise. "Me? Study? Heehee, of course not, silly! That could never happen!"

"E-Ehhh?!" Aisha almost dropped her snack on the floor. "What do you mean 'it could never happen'?! Aren't you worried about your future?!"

The calm girl started to separate the numbers into different piles. "Ah~ why bother studying when I know I'm going to fail anyways? It's such a bother~" she said, in a relaxed tone.

"B-But what about the reward?" Aisha questioned. "Didn't the whole class agree to work hard?"

Rena began examining her perfectly manicured nails. "But the teacher never really promised we'd get a reward, so…"

The two girls then heard a lot of chatter happening in front of the classroom.

"Kyaa, Chung, I heard you were in the top 10 in your last school! Could you please tutor me? ❤" asked a fangirl.

"Huh? Where did you hear that from?" Chung tried to avoid answering the question.

"Chung~!" A girl glomped him from behind. "Why don't we go to my place after school, and you can teach me many things~?"

"Uh...we're still talking about studying for the exams, right?" Chung asked, hesitantly.

The girl hugging him, breathed into his ear, and whispered in a seductive voice, "I could teach you many other things."

Chung shuddered, "W-Well, that sounds great, and all, but-"

Aisha beamed at Rena, "Look, Rena! There's Chung; why don't we ask him to be your tutor? I'm sure it'll be more fun studying with him around!"

Rena wasn't listening; she was too busy glaring icicles at the girl flirting with the prince, and her hand crushed the papers with numbers written on them. Under her breath, she cursed the girl with some not-so-lovely-words.

"Um...Rena?"

"Oh no she did!" The popular girl rose from her chair, and marched over to the crowd of girls. She had a sweet smile on her face, but an ominous aura surrounded her. "Girls~ Would you please make way~?"

The fangirls sensed this dark feeling emitting from Rena, and immediately parted ways. No one wanted to get on Rena's bad side, or they knew they'd be experiencing the rest of their school years in misery.

The blue prince's face lit up as he saw his saviour walking towards him. "Rena, you came!"

"Ohoho, Chung, I had no idea you were so ecstatic to see me." She clearly emphasized the last word. "Now, girls, if you'd do me the favour, and run along~" she waved her hand at them, as if they were her slaves.

Reluctantly, the girls left, except for the chick who was flirting with him. "Hey, wait a second, why should we leave? I was here first, and I'm not leaving until Chung agrees to tutor me!"

"I think you're mistaken; Chung has already promised me that he will be my personal and private tutor. Isn't that right, Chung~?" she continued smiling.

He felt his blood turn cold at her smile. "Eh...ah...I…"

Before he could find the right words, Rena grabbed his hand, and changed the hand position to a couple hand hold. Their fingers perfectly intertwined, and she began dragging him off with her. Although, just before they exited the classroom, the Queen Bee glanced back at the fangirl, and poked her tongue out, with a mischievous smile.

The girl felt her face go red, as her prince had been stolen away from her. She let out an angry squeal before stomping off, in frustration.

Aisha's eyebrow twitched, as she had watched the whole scene play out. "Who knew Rena could be so possessive…? I feel like I've seen her in a new light."

Well, I've confirmed that the rest of the class will be studying hard, Rena & Chung will study together, and I need to force Elsword to use that stupid brain of his, who's left to confirm…? Ah, Eve. Eh...she doesn't really NEED to study since she always gets top grades...who else is there? Raven. He's...a big concern. Thus, Aisha went to search for the black crow.

A handsome figure closed the door of the rooftop silently; he took a few steps towards the girl who had her back to him. His smooth voice rang to her ears. "Ah, Eve. So this is where you were."

The rich girl glanced at Raven through the corner of her eye. She spoke no words to him, and went back to staring at the scenery.

Without asking, he stood next to her, and leaned on the railing. "What do you think of the upcoming exams?"

"Nothing special." her reply was blunt and short.

"And the reward if we get the highest grades?"

"Nothing special."

"...And me?"

"Nothing special."

Raven had a hint of annoyance in his voice. "Oi, are you trying to annoy me?"

She didn't bother looking at him. "No, I'm merely stating my thoughts aloud."

"At least look at me when you're talking to me. Or else it feels like I'm talking to a brick wall." He let out a sigh, as he tried to calm himself down.

"...Instead of worrying about trivial matters, shouldn't you be worrying about studying? According to my calculations, you always either skipped exams, or failed them." she spoke in a monotone voice; her eyes still straight ahead.

"Well, I guess.." he paused, and clicked his tongue. "Tch…"

Suddenly, Raven grabbed her chin, and forced her head up, so they could see eye-to-eye. "Look at me, damn it!"

His golden eyes met her amber ones. She stared back at him with an innocent look, and he felt his body froze. His face rapidly flushed red, and he hastily released her. "S-Sorry, I…"

"What's wrong?" she tilted her head to the side, as she watched him cover his mouth with the back of his hand in embarrassment.

"No...nothing's wrong, I...I just…" his voice had a hint of shyness, and his temperature began to rise.

The doll placed her hand on his forehead gently. "Your face is red, and your temperature is above the normal average a person should have. Maybe you have a fever?"

Raven couldn't help but blush even more at this small gesture. He quickly withdrew from her hand, and rushed out of the door. "I'm completely fine! I'll see you later, Eve!"

"...?" Eve had no idea what had just happened. He's acting strange...

As soon as Raven had escaped from Eve, his body collapsed against the wall, and his hand clutched his chest. "What is this…? What is this weird feeling?" The scene of Raven grabbing onto Eve replayed in his head in slow motion. And why can't I stop thinking about Eve? He remembered the innocent look on her face when he stared into her eyes. God, I'm such an idiot...

A cheerful voice interrupted his train of thought. "Raven, I've finally found you!" It was the Class Prez.

Raven immediately got back on his feet, as he tried to change his facial expression. If anyone had seen him looking so pathetic, he didn't know what he would say. "A...Ah...Aisha, what's up?"

"Study, that's what!" she shoved a text book into his face.

"Er...what?" he stared at the book blankly.

The purple haired girl rolled her eyes. "You know, exams. The whole class needs to study for it, if we want that reward. So, you better work hard, okay?" she smiled at him.

"Thanks, but no thanks. I think I'd rather skip out on this." he gave the book back, and walked past her.

"What? Hey, Raven, you can't just skip out on an exam! You'll fail school if you do!" she spun on her heel, and called after him.

"I don't care." he closed his eyes, and fastened his pace.

Aisha was persistent and chased after him. "Well, you should care! Ah, I know, what about studying with some friends or something? That makes studying fun!"

"Define 'friends'." he replied.

"Um...well, there's me, Rena, Chung, Lowe, and Elsword…" she began to list them off at the top of her head.

Raven groaned at each name after Chung. He muttered under his breath, "I wouldn't even call them friends."

"Oh, there's Eve as well~ Why don't you get her to teach you? She is the smartest student in the whole entire school, after all!" exclaimed Aisha, rather proudly.

The crow's footsteps came to a halt. ...Why didn't I think of that?!

"Eh? Raven?" Aisha poked the frozen statue.

If I asked Eve to tutor me… He imagined a weekend of his 'potential future'.

"Ah, sorry, it might be a bit messy." Raven opened the door to his room in the dormitory. He stepped to the side, in order to allow the rich girl to walk in.

"It's...cleaner than I expected." Eve commented. "Well, where should we study?"

"Here." He led her to the table, and they placed their books on top. He then went to grab some snacks which they could eat while they studied.

The study session went perfectly, and after a bit, they both agreed to take a study break. Eve sat on his bed, and Raven passed her a cup of tea. "Here, this is for you."

"Thank you." she nodded, and took a sip. A smile formed on her lips. "It's delicious…"

"Haha, I'm glad you like it." he chuckled, and sat next to her on the bed. They casually chatted for around ten minutes, and Eve had finished her tea. She placed the cup on the bedside table, and glanced at him. "I think we should resume studying now. There's still a lot of things I need to teach you."

As she was about to get up, Raven suddenly gripped her wrist. "Why don't we have a different type of lesson? We can study something else." he gazed at her face.

"Study...something else?"

He pulled her towards him, and pushed her down onto the bed. The blankets tangled at their legs, and Raven was leaning over her. He brought his face closer to hers, and a smirk played onto his lips. He whispered into her ear, "How about you let me teach you something else?"

Eve had a dreamy look in her eyes, as she whispered his name, "Raven…"

"Raven!" Aisha's voice snapped him back to reality.

The ex-delinquent gasped, as he suddenly realized what he was thinking. His head turned bright red, and he quickly held his nose- before a nosebleed came on.

"Geez, what's wrong with you all of a sudden?" she huffed.

A mischievous voice interrupted the conversation. Elsword was leaning against the classroom's windowsill, as he smirked playfully at the pair. "What's wrong with him, is that he's obviously thinking perverted thoughts."

"What?! I am not!" Raven glared back at him, his face still red.

"You so are, man, you so are! Look at you!" Elsword pointed a finger at him. "You're clearly flustered, and you're trying to stop yourself from getting a nosebleed!"

Chung chuckled, "Oh my."

"Shut up!" he turned his back on his pals.

"Aw, come on, don't be like that!" Elsword leaned out the window some more. "Why don't you share with us your kinky thoughts?" he teased.

"Elsword, please try to remember this fanfiction is rated K+...we don't want to have any mature content in here, after all." Chung warned, and looked back at Raven. "But really, who was it that you were thinking of?"

"Nobody!" he replied over his shoulder.

"Oho! The boy's just embarrassed because he was thinking of dirty thoughts-"

Aisha slapped the back of Elsword's head. "That's enough from you, idiot!"

"Owww! What the heck, Aisha?! What was that for?!" the poor guy had tears at the corner of his eyelids, as he held his head in pain.

"Don't talk about inappropriate things in front of a lady!" she lectured him.

"A lady? Pssh, you're not even close to being a lad-"

She punched him in the stomach with more power than you could imagine. "Care to repeat that, Elsword?"

He crouched down and held his stomach, while trying to suppress his cries of agony. He couldn't bear to look at her, so instead he shook his head furiously, whispering, "I value my life."

"Good." she angelically smiled at him, then turned to face Raven once more. "So, Raven, are you going to get Eve to help you study?"

Blood splurted out of Raven's mouth, and his body crumpled to the ground. The red pool began flowing out, and it was clear he had fainted. Maybe the blood was a bit over exaggerated, but his face was the same colour as well.

"Ahhh! Raven, are you alright?!" Aisha quickly rushed over to him. "I don't get it, what's wrong with him?"

The popular teen's hand began trembling as he reached out to try and grab the light. "I...I…"

the words wouldn't come out of his mouth.

"Aisha, what did you do to him?!" Elsword gasped, dramatically.

"Nothing! I just asked him if he was going to ask Eve to help him study-"

At the mention of Eve's name, Raven's hand suddenly dropped, and his head fell to the side. His body stopped moving, and his breathing was shallow. Very shallow.

"Oh my Elrios, I think I killed him even more!" Aisha panicked.

Chung yelled over his shoulder, "Man down!"

Lowe laughed, "Who was it this time? Elsword?"

"No, it was Raven!" Elsword glared at his buddy.

"Well, that's a first." the cheeky teen began scribbling down on the 'Class 2-A's Death' list. "Cause of death?"

Chung replied with a gentleman's smile plastered on his face, "The mention of Eve's name."

The bells rung for the last time of the day; signalling the end of the school day. Aisha tapped the blackboard as she made her final announcement. "So, everyone will be in the library by 10:00 AM, understood?"

The class agreed, although Lowe raised his hand to ask a question, "Do we have to go? I mean, it's in our weekend and all…"

"No, you don't have to, but it's recommended that you do. After all, we all have to study for this exam, so it's only natural that we should help each other out. And who knows, this study period might just benefit you in many ways...are there any other questions?"

The rest of the class shook their heads. The class Prez smiled at them, "Alright then, I'll see all of you in the weekends then. Remember to make your way here yourself, and don't sleep in!"

The students of 2-A began packing their things, and leaving the classroom.

"Aw man, studying together with classmates on a weekend? This sucks!" Lowe complained, as he finished packing his bag.

"Yeah, it totally does. It means I have to see your ugly face for extra hours in my life." groaned Elsword.

"Oi, you wanna fight, redhead?" Lowe headlocked the main character.

"Geh! Let go of me, freak!" Elsword struggled to get out of his grip.

Chung let out a sigh, "Hey, why don't you two take it outside? There are students who are on classroom duty, you know…"

"You wanna get into this too, Chungy boy?!" Lowe gripped the prince's collar.

"What? No, I didn't mean to get involved, I just…" he tried to calm his friend down.

"Huh? Now Chung's joining the fray? Bring it on, I can take both of you on!" Elsword readied his fists.

Raven was leaning on his palm, as he turned his head towards the two idiots. "Ladies, ladies, if we could all just stop acting like children-"

Elsword immediately retorted, "Never!"

"...When some of us stop acting like children." He grumbled. "May I suggest that we all get out of here before girl power kicks us out of here?"

They all paused. "Girl...power?" The four boys suddenly felt chills crawl up their spine, as they met eyes with the piercing glare from two girls, and one with a malicious smile on her face.

"I think it's about time we taught these undisciplined fools a lesson." Eve closed the book she was reading.

"I couldn't agree with you more." Rena replied, with her lips still curved into an evil smile.

"You took the words right out of my mouth." Aisha cracked her knuckles as she took a few steps closer to the males.

The boys immediately dropped down to their knees, and bowed 100 times. "WE'RE SORRY, WE'RE REALLY SORRY!" And then they grabbed their bags, and escaped the classroom with their lives on the line. They ran to the dorms so fast, it was as if they were competing in the ElOlympics.

A sigh escaped Rena's lips, "Good grief, those boys never learn, do they?"

"My calculations say that the four of them are all 99.5% stupid." Eve said, calmly.

"Hah? Then what about the last 0.5%?" Aisha swung her school bag over her shoulder.

The smartest girl in the whole school replied promptly before leaving, "Pervertedness."

It was friday night, and the summer breeze gently blew through the open window. Raven lied on his bed, and stared at the wind chime that he exchanged with Eve, hanging from the ceiling. The bell rang out beautiful chimes as the wind swayed it from side to side.

So, tomorrow's the day of the study session...fun. He thought to himself, sarcastically. Although, Aisha said we could gain benefits in many ways...maybe…?

He imagined what it could be like:

"Ah, Eve, what book are you reading? It looks like you're studying hard." Raven asked.

"Oh, well…" she nervously showed him the cover. It read, 'LOVE for Dummies'.

"Huh? You're trying to study love?" He chuckled, "Why?"

"I just...don't think I know much about it…" her cheeks tinged pink, as she looked away in embarrassment.

Raven took a seat next to her. "Alright, I'll help you out."

"?"

"Allow me to teach you what love is." he smirked.

"R...Really?" she breathed out, with slight surprise in her voice.

He leaned over, and whispered in her ear. He was so close, that his breath tickled the tip of her ear with each word, "Well, I could...but I'd have to charge."

The sound of his door slamming closed interrupted his imagination. Elsword walked in and collapsed onto the bed. "Whee-oh! That was a great shower!"

"Ugh, that's right. I forgot I had to share this room with you guys." Raven muttered, bitterly.

"Hey, cheer up Raven!" Chung smiled. "It's not that bad. Besides, you just don't want to admit that you actually like our company!"

"Shut up." he grumbled.

"Naww, our little Ravy is such a tsun!" teased Elsword, while jumping onto him like a koala bear.

"Shut up, Elsword. You're not funny." the crow had no idea how he hadn't murdered the two boys yet.

"Not even the slightest?" the redhead tried.

He rolled his eyes in response. "Not even the slightest."

"Anyways!" Chung interrupted, to try and change the topic. "Tomorrow's the day of the study group session…"

Elsword grinned proudly, "Why yes it is, Chung. What am I going to do? Well, I'm glad you asked, because-"

"He didn't ask, moron." spat Raven.

"I know that, I'm just saying that he did so I could say what I was going to say!" retorted Elsword.

"That was a bit too many 'say's in that sentence." laughed Chung. "Anyhow, what are you going to do there, Elsword? Study?"

"Hell no! I'm going to use this opportunity to raise my popularity with the girls!" he smirked, triumphantly.

"Pssh, it's a study date, not a date date." said the black bird.

"Look, you guys wouldn't know how I feel- you two are the most popular guys in the school!" glared Elsword.

"Well, believe it or not, you're getting some recognition too, you know." Chung pointed out.

"I...I am?"

"Yeah, totally. As the red idiot." smirked Raven, mischievously.

Elsword stomped over to his mate. "OKAY, THAT TEARS IT. WHAT THE HELL DO YOU HAVE AGAINST MY HAIR? MY HAIR IS AWESOME. IT'S SPIKY, AND IT'S RED HOT, MAKING ME MORE EYE CATCHING SINCE THE COLOUR RED NATURALLY CATCHES ATTENTION!"

Raven let out a sigh. "There's nothing wrong with your hair, but there's definitely something wrong with your head."

"HAIR AND HEAD IS THE SAME THING."

"Er...I think he meant your brain, Elsword." Chung sweat dropped.

"Thank you, Chung. I really needed you to translate that." replied Raven in a monotone.

"What?! Chung, are you insulting me?! Are you saying I'm dumb?!" Elsword was full of fury.

"Uhh, want to point out anything else obvious, genius?" mumbled Raven.

"E-Eh? No, I didn't mean to insult you, I just…!" the prince began to worry.

"Ohh, I get it." Elsword climbed on top of the table, and wore a smug expression on his face. "You two are just jealous!"

"Jealous?" the two exchanged glances with each other, then turned to Elsword. "Of you?"

"Of course! You two insult me all the time because you're jealous of my greatness! You're scared that tomorrow at the study session, I might score more girls than you two have combined!"

Raven face palmed. Could this guy get any more thick-headed?

"Umm...Elsword, I don't think the whole school's going to be at this study session…"

"HAHAHA, YOU TWO MAY HAVE THE WHOLE SCHOOL UNDER YOUR CHARM, BUT I WILL HAVE THE WHOLE WORLD UNDER MY CHARM!" he laughed like an evil maniac. "AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

A shoe came flying through the window and smacked Elsword in the face. "Knock it off, Elsword! Some people are trying to sleep here!" shouted Lowe.

Elsword ran over to the windowsill. "YOU WANNA REPEAT THAT, PUNK?!"

"Bring it on, mate!" Lowe rolled up his sleeves.

There was a knock on Raven's door. Chung opened it, to reveal the dorm head, Praus.

The young man with green hair smiled at them. "Hey, could you guys please quiet down a bit? It's getting late, and the rest of the dorm is trying to sleep."

"Ahaha, yeah, sorry about that...we'll try and calm Elsword down." apologized the pretty boy.

"CALM ME DOWN?! NO WAY, MAN, I'M COMPLETELY FINE. IT IS YOU, WHO NEEDS TO CALM DOWN!" he shouted back. "I COULD DO THIS ALL NIGHT LONG!"

"Elsword. No." Raven glared at his friend. "Praus is right, we need tape. And probably some rope too."

"I didn't…" Praus scratched the back of his head, smiling warily.

"A-Ah, well, goodnight Praus!" Chung abruptly shut the door before things got out of hand.

Praus knocked on the door from the outside again. "Just make sure to turn off the lights soon, and uh...don't take it too far, okay? Don't want you guys getting too loud, you know?"

"I CAN BE AS LOUD AS I WANT, AND THERE'S NOTHING, NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT!"

Raven kneed Elsword in the **** and he fell to the floor, clutching his er-hem.

"Ohh, god no, it hurts...the pain...Raven...why…?!"

"Be quiet, and go to sleep." He threw the blankets on him, and then got into his own bed. "Chung, the lights."

"Yes sir!" he saluted, and reached for the lights. "Goodnight~!" he flicked off the lights.

It was dark. And silent. A few minutes of complete silence. Elsword was the first to break it. "So, do you guys wanna do it?"

Chung then replied, "Do what?"

"You know...IT." said Elsword.

"I'm listening." Raven swallowed. "...Hesitantly."

"Do you guys want to-"

"KYAAAAAA~!" a girl's scream, or should I say, fan girl squeal, suddenly erupted from the outside, below the boys' window.

"What was that?" Chung flicked on the lights.

"I don't know, I thought that was you." Elsword blinked.

"My voice doesn't go that high." mumbled Chung.

"Wait, this is the boys' dorm, right?" Raven glanced at the two of them.

Both Raven & Elsword stared at Chung. "Yeah…"

Chung sighed in frustration, "Would you two just drop my gender issues already?!"

Raven craned his neck out the window, and saw a few girls fleeing from the dorm. "Hey, those girls...aren't they…?"

He remembered the time when he was playing basketball with Elsword & Chung. "The BL club…?"

"That club hasn't disbanded yet?" Elsword grimaced.

"I'm surprised that's even a club…" murmured Chung.

"Oh well, none of our concern. Chung, lights." Raven walked back to his bed.

"Right, and this time, we seriously need to sleep." Chung flicked the lights off once again.

*Loud Manually Breathing Noises*

"Elsword, would you stop freaking manually breathing?!" Raven hissed.

"Damn, how'd you know it was me?!"

"Who else would it be?!"

Chung flicked on the lights again. "You two really need to just learn to shut your eyes, and go to sleep."

"Right back at you." glared the crow.

"Goodnight, you two…" Chung let a sigh escape his lips once again, then flicked off the lights.

It was quiet for a minute or two.

"...Hey. Are you guys asleep?" Raven broke the silence.

"No, but I thought you said that we should be." Elsword replied.

"Do you two have any idea what time it is?" Chung mumbled. "Is it seriously going to be this hard to sleep every night from now on?"

"Well, it's only about 10:30." said Raven. "Besides, it's the weekend. Who in Elrios goes to sleep this early?"

"You'd be surprised." the prince replied in a hushed voice.

The three boys had run out of things to talk about, and so again, the room fell to silence. Although, none of the boys had their eyes closed.

A thought ran through Chung's head. "Elsword."

"Yeah?"

"What was that 'thing' you were talking about before?"

"Huh?"

Raven tried to remind him, "You were asking us if we wanted to do 'it'. Come to think of it, what did you mean by that?"

"Ohhh, oh, that! I was just wondering if you guys wanted to have an all-nighter tonight, on 'SwordEl'." grinned the redhead.

"That's it?" the two replied in unison.

"Yep! So...how bout' it?" Elsword began unpacking his laptop. "You two up for a round on PvP?"

"Ha, you're on." Raven also grabbed his laptop.

"Fine, I guess a few matches won't hurt." Chung pressed the 'on' button on his blue laptop.

The three boys soon regretted it later. They stayed up until 6 AM in the morning, and barely got up in time for the study session.

For those of you who are curious about the BL club's imagination...if you wish to skip this, feel free to. When you see the asterisks again, that means the BL imagination is over ;D (Why do we write this? We're not huge fans of BL ourselves, but we find it freaking hilarious xDDD)

The infamous BL club which made their debut in chapter 7 sneaked their way under Raven's window. They grabbed their listening devices and strained their ears in order to hear the conversations happening in the boys' dorm room.

"Ahaha, yeah, sorry about that...we'll try and calm Elsword down." apologized the pretty boy.

The BL fangirls paused, and glanced at one another. "...Calm him down?"

"CALM ME DOWN?! NO WAY, MAN, I'M COMPLETELY FINE. IT IS YOU, WHO NEEDS TO CALM DOWN!" he shouted back. "I COULD DO THIS ALL NIGHT LONG!"

"Do it all night long…?" their BL sensors were tingling.

"Elsword. You're right." Raven stared intensely at his friend with eyes full of lust. "Praus is right, we need tape. And probably some rope too."

The girls whispered excitedly to one another. "Did you hear that?! He said tape and rope! Can you imagine all the dirty things they can do with tape and rope?!"

Dirty censored images filled their minds. They all internally squealed, 'OHMYGODDDDD!'

"A-Ah, well, goodnight Praus!" Chung abruptly shut the door before things got out of hand. "Phew, he's finally gone. Well, that means we can get back to what we were doing...but Elsword, maybe you should tone it down a little, after all...we don't want people to find out what we're all doing together…" the prince smirked playfully.

The girls held their breaths.

Praus knocked on the door from the outside again. "Just make sure to turn off the lights soon, and uh...don't take it too far, okay? Don't want you guys getting too loud, you know?"

"Praus said 'don't take it too far'?! Just how far have they already gone?!" they hissed excitedly to one another.

"I CAN BE AS LOUD AS I WANT, AND THERE'S NOTHING, NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT!"

He wants to be loud? "Could he mean…?"

The girls heard a thud, as Elsword fell to the floor.

"Ohh, god yes, more...Raven...right there…!"

"Be quiet, and get in the bed." Raven smirked. "I'm not letting you get any sleep tonight, Elsword. Chung, hit the lights."

"Yes sir!" The lights flicked off, and the room was shrouded in darkness. "Goodnight~!"

"So, Chung wanna do it together with Raven and I?" Elsword asked.

Chung then replied, "Do what?"

"You know...IT." said Elsword.

"Listen to him, Chung." Raven paused. "...Although instead of listening, why don't we just show you?"

"Do you guys want to-"

The fan girls couldn't hold it in any longer, "KYAAAAAA~!" Their thoughts were going wild. The other girls scolded one another, before quickly scurrying away, hoping they wouldn't get caught by the boys.

Aisha tapped her finger on the table rhythmically. Although, each tap of her slim fingers got harder and louder.

Tap...tap...tap...tap...TAP...TAP...TAP...TAPTAPTAPTAPTAPTAPTAPTAP!

The class president flipped the table. "Late, late, late, late! We've been waiting for half an hour already, and those three still haven't arrived yet!"

"30 minutes, and 28 seconds to be exact." Eve flipped to the next page of her book.

"Calm down, Aisha, they probably just...forgot." Rena tried to calm her friend down, but she only added fuel to the fire.

"FORGOT?! How could they forget?! I've been spamming all of their cellphones the whole morning, telling them not to forget to come today!" she clenched her fists.

"Maybe...I don't know, something came up?" Rena tried again.

"Well, what could possibly be so important, that they'd skip out on study sessions with beautiful girls like us?!"

"Correction, study session with the whole class." Eve murmured.

"Erm...right, I meant the whole class." Aisha sighed, and dropped onto her chair. She whipped out her cellphone for the 86th time for that day, and stared at Elsword's number. "He could've at least told me that he wasn't coming…"

The blonde haired girl giggled. "Ooh, Aisha, do I sense love in the air?"

The Class Prez blushed, and immediately retorted. "Don't be ridiculous! No one in their right mind would fall for an idiot like Elsword!"

The redhead's pal, Lowe, threw an arm around Aisha, and grinned playfully. "That's right, Aisha's far too good for Elsword. But you plus I, equals-"

The school's library doors slammed open, and in came rushing three different colours. Red, blue and black. They all said different things at the same time.

Elsword shouted, "I'M REALLY SORRY AISHA, PLEASE DON'T KILL ME! I WASN'T LATE ON PURPOSE, HONEST!"

Chung apologized, "Rena, I promise you, I wasn't trying to pick up any girls on the way here, I was seriously running like the wind to get here on time!"

Raven panted, "Huff...huff...Eve...please tell me you didn't make lunch for me today."

1 slap for Raven coming right up.

After Elsword bowed and apologized a million times in a split second, he paused, Huh...that's weird. Why hasn't Aisha hit me yet? He looked up, and saw Aisha in Lowe's arms. Anger boiled up, and Elsword dashed up to them, and ripped the two apart. "Lowe, what the hell man?!"

Lowe shrugged, and pretended he didn't know anything. "What do you mean, Elsword?"

The redhead kept a firm grip on Aisha's shoulder. "Why were you touching her? No, why were you even near her?!"

Aisha tried to interrupt, "Err, Elsword, I think you're-"

Lowe smirked, "What's it to you, pal? I can do what I want."

"Wha- no, you can't! Especially not to Aisha, she's hands off!" Elsword yelled at him, clearly infuriated.

His friend leaned back in his chair, and continued to provoke him. "Oh? Why is she hands off? It's not like she's yours~"

The classroom fell silent, as all pairs of eyes were staring at them.

Elsword froze. It's not like she's yours~ Lowe's words snapped him back to reality. What the heck am I doing?! He quickly pushed Aisha away, and cleared his throat. "Er-hem…! What I meant was...she's, um...Aisha's, y'know…" he was at a loss for words. He had dug his own grave.

"C'mon, tell me, Elsword!" Lowe laughed.

"Oh, shut up! You know what? Forget it! I don't need to come up with an excuse for you guys, I'm outta here! See ya!" he turned around, and tried to hide his blushing face. He made his way to the door.

Aisha stared at the red teen's back, as he walked away. Was Elsword...jealous? For some odd reason, Aisha began to feel a little happy at this. Ah, wait, I have to stop him from leaving the library! She quickly chased after him, and shouted back at the students, "I'll be right back!"

The library door shut, and all was quiet again. The silence soon broke, as the class began chatting to each other about random things.

Rena smiled at Chung angelically, "And you're absolutely certain you didn't pick up any girls while I wasn't watching?"

"I'm sure." he nodded, firmly. "The only woman I talked to on the way was when I offered to help an old lady cross the road."

"And you didn't dream of any other girls last night?"

"...If I did, I don't remember, but I'm pretty sure I didn't…" he replied, choosing his words extra carefully.

The Queen Bee looked at him up & down, then leaned back in her chair. "Alright, I'll forgive you...only if you do that."

"That?" he repeated.

"Don't tell me you've already forgotten…" she had a sad expression on her face.

"O-Of course not!" he quickly scanned through his memories. That? What's 'that'? Wait, does she mean…? He straightened his posture, and placed his feet together. He put one hand on his chest, and bent down before her. "Princess Rena, will you accept this Prince's humble apology?"

Rena smiled happily, "Of course!"

It wa pretty obvious Rena had declared Chung as her personal Prince. She knew other girls would have to lay off of him - after all, they didn't want to get on the Queen Bee's bad side. Since they knew Chung was now officially off limits, they turned their chances to the other popular boy in the school.

"Raven, you must be tired! Would you like me to give you a massage~?" smiled a girl, sweetly.

"Ah, Raven, here, you can have my drink! I hope you like iced coffee…" said another.

"Ehh, Raven, why don't you sit next to me? I'm sure we can study a lot better together!" suggested a whiney girl.

He was swarmed by the fan girls of the class.

"Uhh, wait a second…" he tried to put some space between him and the girls. Ugh, this isn't usually something I'd worry about, but...what if Eve starts to think I'm a player, since I'm surrounded by all these girls? His golden eyes hesitantly stole a glimpse at the doll.

Something seemed to gleam in her right hand. She was looking straight at him, while holding the threatening weapon in her petite fingers. Electrical sparks seemed to be reverberating from it. It was a tazor.

Oh god, it's already too late for that…! He innerly shrunk at the thought of being stung by that tazor.

"Now, now, shouldn't we all start studying since everyone's here now?" Rena asked, with a kind smile.

Everyone agreed with her, and began taking out their textbooks. Some students sat at the tables with their friends, others wanted to sit on the floor, and a few walked around the library looking for reference books.

"Chung, teach me this~!" a fan girl skipped over to Chung.

The blue prince looked at her, "Hm? Oh, sure, it-"

The fan girl suddenly felt a shiver run down her spine as she saw Rena glaring at her from behind Chung. "N-Nevermind, I'll ask someone else!"

The pretty boy tilted his head to the side. "That's odd. Every time a girl approaches me, they suddenly decide to walk away...hmm, I wonder why…"

The Queen Bee's voice chirped up, "Ahh, Chung, can you help me with this question?"

"Of course, Rena. Which one?" he sat on a chair next to her, and began to help her with the questions. "Let's see...if we're studying for the maths exam, then they would most likely have a question like this one...if you know how to do this, you should have no problem with the next one."

"Wow, Chung you're so smart! I'm impressed!" Rena complimented him.

"Ahaha, not really…" Chung denied her compliments with a sheepish smile on his face.

"I really mean it!" she smiled. "Okay, can you teach me this one next?"

"Sure thing!" he happily agreed to help her study.

Lowe yawned and checked the clock. "Gee, Aisha and Elsword sure are taking their time. Do you think they ditched?"

The black crow doodled on his text books. "Nah, they wouldn't. There's no way the Class Prez would do that. Elsword? Yeah, I can see that idiot ditching."

"But you know, they might've hooked up, and decided to catch a movie or something~" Lowe teased.

"Why don't you ask them yourself then?" Raven muttered, rather bored.

"Uhh, because they're not here, obviously?"

"This is so lame. Why am I stuck here, talking to you?" Raven groaned, and tried to concentrate on his doodles in his book.

"Why? Did you want to talk to your lil' girlfriend?" Lowe poked at the teen.

"Shut up, she's no one's girlfriend...yet." Raven mumbled the last word to himself.

Meanwhile…

"Elsword, wait up!" The young girl's voice called over his shoulder. He paused in recognition of the girl. Whoa...she really came after me? The redhead could feel his face heat up as he held the back of his hand to his lips. I-It's like in those dramas…! Elsword cleared his throat subtly. I can't afford to screw this up! He pumped a fist internally and pretended to sigh. "What is it, Aisha?"

He could hear her shallow puffs and clothes rustling as she moved towards him. "What's up with you? Why're you acting so...agro?" She had to admit, she had no idea how to go about this situation.

"I-I'm not angry! Sheesh."

"Ah." Her index finger was pointed right at the tip of his nose. "But you just were. In fact, that was a sigh of frustration!" Aisha's tone of voice danced as if to say 'I told you so.'

Now he was really stuck for words as he found himself lost in her smile. "I, uh...well, I mean...c-can't I be? Everyone loses their temper once in a while." He muttered the last sentence.

"Yeah, but not everyone gets angry for no reason. Look, just spill it, would you?" her eyes were assertive, pressing him for answers but inside, she was wondering if she was being too honest.

"Erm...I...Sorry." He ran a hand through his crimson red hair with his eyes looking to the side. Damn, what does a guy say in this situation again?

She double blinked. "...Huh? What for?"

Screw it, let's just be the good, honest guy! "I-You, when you and Lowe were getting all buddy-buddy...I dunno, I kinda just...felt annoyed." His cheeks were getting redder and redder with every word. He heard a small giggle escape from her lips and peeked at her from under his bangs.

"I think that's the most honest you've been with me!" She was smiling casually as if their little incident hadn't happened.

"Hah!? I'm always honest to you!"

"Mm, not really. I mean, this is the first time you actually shared your feelings with me. Thank you, Elsword."

"Ah-it, it's nothing really."

The purple-haired girl's mouth curved into a playful smirk. "But you know, that's called 'jealousy'~?"

"WHAT!? I AM NOT JEALOUS! Not in the slightest!" His voice rose to make his point clear.

"Ahaha, I'm kidding, kidding! After all, we're all friends right? It'd be silly to get jealous over something so trivial.

The word 'friends' hit him like a truck. Is...is this what they call 'friendzoning'? "O-Oh. Yeah, that's right...friends."

"Yep and also, as friends, we should talk to each other about this stuff more often, okay!?" She gave him a hard whack on the back as if to slap happiness right into him. Aisha was clearly oblivious to what she had just done.

Elsword let out a small sigh. "Yeah...as friends…" The word echoed in his mind, sending him deeper into the pits of despair. To stop himself from falling anymore, he dismissed the moment from his mind. "A-Anyways, we should probably get back to the library, huh?"

"Right! Let's go!" Aisha replied, cheerfully. The two began walking back to the school library.

"By the way, can you teach me about that huge thing for the science exam?"

"What huge thing?"

Elsword made a round motion with his hands. "You know, that giant spider...erm...crab...er...spider thing!"

"You mean Magmantas?" she giggled.

"Yeah, that!" His fingers snapped.

"Hehe, okay! Magmantas originally..."

Thus, the two happily chatted while heading back to the others.

"Raven, can you teach me this~?" A girl hugged his arm, while shoving a maths text book in his face.

"5." he quickly shoved her off, and tried to escape.

"Ehhh? But the question is 4+5...shouldn't the answer be 9?" she whined.

The ex-delinquent had a bright fake smile on his face, "Congratulations, you managed to figure it out yourself! Now leave me alone."

He hurried away, trying to find the girl he was looking for. A few more fan girls rushed to him, hoping he would spend some time with them.

"Hey, do you know the answer to what an allele is?"

"A plant." he mumbled. Are these girls stupid? An allele obviously has something to do with a gene...

"What about why Hamel is called the city of waters?"

"Because it's not a city full of water, it's just plain blue." he made up more answers on the spot.

"Ohhh, so it's called Hamel the City of Waters, because it's completely blue, not because it has water!"

"Wow, that's so smart of you to figure out." Raven rolled his eyes. If they want to know about Hamel, why don't they ask Chung?! Speaking of which… He approached the perfect couple studying at the table. "Chung, Rena - have you two seen Eve?"

"Hm? No, sorry." Rena shook her head.

"I think I might've saw her walk to the non-fiction section, but I'm not too sure it was her…" Chung replied.

"Thanks." he speedily power walked to the non-fiction section, but all he saw was Lowe.

"Yo, Ravy! Sup?"

"Don't call me that." he growled. "Anyways, have you seen Eve?"

"Hmm...can't say that I have. Why?"

"None of your business." he muttered in response, then zigzagged the other book shelves. Damn, was the library always this big? He passed the entrance, and saw Elsword & Aisha walk in.

"Elsword, Aisha, good timing. Know where Eve is?" he asked.

"Well, we just kind of walked in here, so...no?" the redhead shrugged.

"If she walked out of the library, we definitely would've seen her, but we didn't." replied Aisha. "Is it important?"

"Not really…" Raven avoided eye contact with Aisha, and quickly left.

"Huh, what was that about?" Elsword mumbled.

Aisha smiled, "Just a boy in love."

"Pfft, what? Raven for Eve? No way!" he laughed, but then paused as he remembered Raven's photo collection in his dorm room. Wait, I'm supposed to keep my lips sealed about that. "Er-hem, let's get studying…"

"Elsword, is there something you're not telling me?" Aisha shot a sharp look at him.

"Now, why would you think that…?" his sweat dropped.

Raven had ran into so many fan girls, and he still hadn't found Eve anywhere, he was going to lose it.

The next girl who saw him was about to call out to him, "Rav-"

His patience had run out, "For Elrios' sake, what is this?! Speed dating hour?! This is a freaking library!"

"Which is exactly why you should be quiet." mumbled a cold voice.

Raven turned his head to the left, and saw his princess standing in between cramped bookshelves, and skimming over a novel. "So this is where you were…" he frowned.

"You were looking for me?" she questioned, however her eyes did not move from the pages.

"Yeah, for ages."

"Oh." was all she said.

He walked towards her slowly, and quietly asked, "Ah, Eve, what book are you reading? It looks like you're studying hard."

"A book."

"..." That wasn't the reply I was hoping for. He glanced at the cover of the book. Unfortunately, it wasn't how he had imagined it. He was secretly hoping the book's title would be 'LOVE for Dummies', however he didn't even know if such a book existed in the library. "So...what's the book about?"

"Things that this book should be about." an infamous quote of hers.

"That's nice…?" he paused, and tried asking again. "Is it...I don't know, interesting?"

"It's a book. What do you think?" her reply sounded a lot more blunt than he expected.

Raven didn't like the treatment she was giving him. What is up with her lately?

"If you're only here to distract me from studying, pleases leave."

"Oi." he banged his fist against the bookshelf above her head, and leaned in. Their faces were in front of each other, and his eyes locked with hers. "If you've got something against me, then say it. I won't know unless you tell me."

"I...I don't have anything against you." She shied away from him. Her back lightly touched the spines of many books.

He was getting irritated. He didn't realize he had begun to raise his voice. "Oh, is that so? Then why is it that-"

The ex-delinquent paused as he blinked in surprise at Eve's reaction. She held the book she was once reading, in between them, hiding her face behind the cover. She seemed...flustered.

"...Eve?"

"...Close."

"Close?" he cocked his head to the side.

"...You're too close." she murmured, with a pink tinge across her cheeks.

Raven halted for a second. He looked at the space between them, then looked around the bookshelves. She was right, he was so close, his lips could almost touch her cheek. However, for some reason he didn't feel like moving away. Only closer.

"Is that a bad thing?" he whispered in a seductive voice.

"W-What…?" she glanced at him in the corner of her eyes.

His right hand pushed her book down, and slowly he brought his face closer to hers. His lips were centimetres away from the doll's petals.

Eve's legs were trembling as the feeling of nervousness crept through her body. Her breathing was shallow, as Raven's touch was so close. His breath tingled her lips as he spoke in a hushed tone, "If you don't like this, why don't you just push me away…?"

The rich girl, for the first time in her life, was speechless. Her mind was turning blank, and she instinctively squeezed her eyes shut.

Seconds passed, but Eve felt nothing. She kept her eyes shut, and held her breath. A small moment went by, and she heard Raven move away from her. She could still feel the lingering warmth of his touch. Cautiously, she opened her eyes, and saw him standing in front of her, with his head turned away. His mouth was covered with the back of his left hand, and his eyes darted from place to place. His cheeks were red, and his right hand seemed to be clenched tightly into a fist.

"Raven…?"

"...I told you to push me away if you didn't like it, didn't I?" he managed to speak, after some time. However, it was clear he hadn't fully calmed down yet.

"I…I just didn't know what to do…" she replied, trying to find the right words to say.

Well, that's a first. Eve of Nasod Corp, not knowing what to do. Raven's golden eyes caught a glimpse of her shy figure. She was staring at the floor, and running her fingers along the spinal cord of the book in her hands repetitively.

The awkward couple said nothing.

"Damn it!" Raven's voice barely reached Eve's ears. She looked up at him, confused.

He hid his face with his hands even more, and muttered under his breath. "Hey, don't…don't look at me like that."

"?"

"Tch...t-too cute…" he mumbled.

Eve leaned closer. "I didn't hear you, could you please repeat that?"

Raven clicked his tongue in irritation, and grabbed her head roughly. His hand ruffled her silky hair wildly, and he looked down at her with mixed feelings of slight anger, embarrassment, and relief. "Geez, you're really slow, aren't you?"

"Eh?" she was forced to close her eyes, as he continued to mess up her hair. Although, she didn't stop him. She felt at ease when Raven touched her head.

He breathed out a sigh, "You're really not good for my heart." He released her, then walked away from her.

She blinked, then tried to call after him, "Ah, Rav-"

He lifted his hand, and waved without turning around. "I'll be sitting at a desk, if you ever feel like tutoring me."

Eve watched him leave, and smiled slightly. Somehow...I feel happy that he went out of his way to look for me. "Well...time to go back to studying."

The class prez stretched her palms to the ceiling and yawned. She had been studying for a couple of hours straight and figured it was time to take a small break. Getting up from her seat, she silently wandered around the shelves, looking for anything that would pique her interest. Aisha noticed a novel that wasn't particularly interesting but stood out from the rest due to its plain cover and spine. Curious, she let it flip open to a random page and skimmed the words.

"Alice was beginning to get very tired of sitting by her sister on the bank, and of having nothing to do…" She chuckled sarcastically. "Doesn't sound all too familiar, now, does it?"

Ba-dump! The girl heard a small thud a few metres to her left. Naturally, she glanced upon the source and swore she saw the slightest hint of scarlet hide behind a shelf. A playful smirk appeared on her lips as she carefully placed the book back and tip-toed over to the culprit's direction. Cautiously, her fingers wrapped around the edge of the shelf as her head popped around the corner, "Ahh-ha!" Her eyes darted around the aisle in disappointment- the person she was expecting wasn't there. Frowning, she continued down the path of books, turning her head left and right at the end. All she found was her classmates studying or mucking about as usual...but no redhead in sight. Hmmm-ing to herself, she returned to the fiction section for another fantasy novel.

Elsword had no idea why he was hiding. He didn't even know why he was stalking Aisha, his eyes just seemed to trail after her. Right after questioning himself, he heard his crush retreat back to her previous spot and sighed with relief. Counting to three, he took baby steps over to the girl once again. Although, instead of finding her immersed in pages, she appeared restless as her head repetitively looked up from her book. Maybe she's noticed my presence? Or does she have a short attention span..? He pondered about her strange behaviour for a little too long and realized she had strolled off somewhere. "Huh? Where did she…" The redhead caught a glimpse of lilac just around the corner and gave chase. However, there was not a soul in sight. Confused, he scratched the back of his head briefly before turning back.

The cheeky girl giggled to herself childishly with her back pressed against the library shelf. She thought it was slightly hard to believe he didn't even notice her. Seeking enjoyment, she unconsciously hunted Elsword down only to find herself more puzzled after turning a few more corners. A small question mark loomed over her head as she placed a finger over her mouth in wonder. "Could it be that...he's doing this deliberately?"

Before the two knew it, they were playing a foolish game of hide and seek. Dodging between shelves and ducking behind counters, the players came close but never met. No one bothered interrupting the two but they did give them questioning looks.

Aisha inhaled deeply after a series of silent, painful laughter. "Guess it's time to get back to work." She strode over to the reference book section and saw a certain someone she would have never expected to be there: Elsword. "Elsword!?" She gasped with surprise.

The redhead looked just as shocked. "SHHH!" He immediately hushed her and pulled onto her wrist, bringing her shoulder-to-shoulder with him.

She was rather taken aback but went along with it. Whispering, she turned her head to the side ever so slightly. "Why is there a huge as book in front of our faces? We're not doing anything bad, are we?"

He elbowed her side gently and pointed with his eyes. His arms lowered the encyclopedia about an inch and her feet had to elevate slightly to peer over it. A romantic scene played out before them with two lovers and the sun pouring through an open window, along with the gentle blow of a curtain.

Aisha caught her breath as she gave her undivided attention to the blonde couple directly ahead. "I-Is that…?"

The boy next to her was so close, she could feel his hair tickle her cheek as he nodded. "Yeah, and I can't believe they're doing that in public!"

The lime-blonde haired girl giggled as the prince across her planted a kiss upon a lock of her hair. "Chung…" Her sigh was that of a maiden in love's.

"Did you know that playing with one's hair means 'I can't live without you'?" He flashed her his signature smile.

"Oh, you're such a flirt, you~!" Rena was flattered to the point she was blushing.

Love hearts were practically swirling around the two and Elsword had to admit, he had the urge to hurl. "Gag me." He muttered under his breath.

Aisha turned to see his expression and laughed softly. "It's love, Elsword, love!"

"Well, it's not lovely to watch, that's for sure. Belgh.." He stuck out his tongue immaturely which gained him a few laughs. He grinned at her smiling face, both unaware of their intimacy...until Lowe spoiled the moment.

"Uwoahh! Why're you two kissing behind a book!?" The disturbance mocked them with smooching noises and fishy lips.

"W-W-WHAT!? WE-I- WE WEREN'T!" Elsword threw the book to the side (which flew past Raven's head and almost out the window) and noogied Lowe. "Lemme screw some sense into that head of yours!"

On the other hand, Chung and Rena felt as if their moment was stood on and were dismayed to find a pair of peeping toms.

"A-Ah..! It's not what it looks like!" Aisha's hands were waving in front of her as if to brush any false imagery away.

The blonde beauty's lips curved into a smirk. "Ohhh~? It sure looked like you two were getting all cuddly!"

Chung chuckled hypocritically. "Well, who's to say we weren't too?"

Rena's arm looped with Aisha's as she pulled her in close. "So, soooo~~? Have you two gotten together yet?" She whispered, her eyes narrowing in curiosity.

"What!?" The innocent girl gasped with blushing exasperation drawn across her face. "N-No way! Why would you even suggest that!?"

Her female companion giggled slyly and tilted her head left and right while she spoke. "Well, you know...high school romances don't come everyday and you'll have to start soon or you'll miss it…"

"W-We're not like that. We're just frien-"

"That's what you think but you'll have to hop onto the train of love at some point, Aisha!" She tapped the shy girl's cheek twice and withdrew.

The redhead noticed the class president's uncomfortable behavior and practically dashed to her rescue. "Guys, guys, stop putting weird stuff in her head! Sheesh." He grasped her shoulders and started pushing her in the direction of the desks. "A-Anyways, we'll just be on our way studying now, so see ya!"

Aisha nodded her thanks to her hero and sat down with a few books. "So, uh, let's get studying." She cleared her throat and awkwardly opened up her books with a mechanical pencil in hand.

"Oh, uh, right!" He did the same but found he couldn't focus in their 2 minute interval of complete silence. He glanced up at the girl sitting directly across him and saw she was deeply immersed in the text books already. "Whoa.." Elsword muttered under his breath but quickly caught it as his eyes met a pair of violet ones.

She raised an eyebrow and tapped her page a couple of times with the end of her pen. He pouted and dropped his head back into the papers. Alright, c'mon, Elsword. Focus, focus! He cheered himself on and tried reading a few words. However, after five minutes of dedicated concentration...I can't tell if I'm stupid or if this is just way too hard! He scratched his head aggressively in frustration and adjusted his sitting position, accidentally kicking Aisha's leg in the process.

She flinched and kicked his shin nice and hard, then returned to her previous stance with a satisfied smirk.

Elsword winced while rubbing his leg then tossed his eraser over to her. Aisha merely glanced at the object and managed to make out the word 'Sorry' on its side. She wrote back, in tiny letters, 'It's okay and good luck.'

He imprinted the last eight letters in his mind as he caught himself staring. Motivation slowly crept its way up through his spine as he tucked a fist next to his hip under the table. Aisha smiled and pretended not to notice, carrying on with her studies.

An hour passed and Elsword stretched, clicking his bones in satisfaction of accomplishing something academic for once. His eyes captured a certain girl snickering behind a resource booklet and felt his ears turn pink. Grumbling, he shifted back to his exercise book but couldn't return to his concentrated state. Hiding behind his book, he peeked over at her serious face.

Aisha rested her head in her left hand as she mouthed the text before her. Her thin eyebrows slightly creased together as she tried to wrap her head around the confusing context. Sighing, she carefully balanced the pen between her fingers as she tucked a lock of hair behind her ear.

Elsword's eyes unconsciously traced the perfect curve of her jawbone, down her flawless skin then up at her long fluttering lashes. He was taken in by her delicate expressions and silent actions. As he thought this, his gaze was trapped into a trance of eye contact with the one he was watching. Her lilac eyes shone like treasured amethysts caught in the rays of sunlight-he was unable to draw away from the sight...until a sweet, soft voice called his name.

"Elsword...?" Her voice was barely above a whisper.

"O-Oh, um, yeah?" He cleared his throat stiffly and fidgeted with his pencil, twisting it in his fingers.

"...You were ogling at me just now, weren't you?" She was trying not to smile.

"Pfft, what? You sure you're not imagining-" His gaze was encased by hers once again, "Er...er-hem, yeah...sorry." He forced his head to the side, hoping to hide his slightly blushing cheeks. Damn, I completely blew it.

She flicked a pencil at his forehead and gave him a helpless smile. "Just go back to studying, would you?"

The sky dyed orange with the setting sun's rays leaking past the curtains set a relaxed atmosphere in the school library. Dust particles swirled around the murmuring students as Elsword observed the purple haired girl for the fiftieth time that afternoon. To his surprise, she sighed and placed the large history book down, flattening out the pages in one stroke simultaneously. "Elsword, if you wanted me to tutor you, you could've asked at anytime."

His face gave off a dumbfounded look. "Huh? But I didn't want you to-"

She interrupted his sentence. "Then why do you keep glancing at me? Counting that one, it's probably been about a hundred times now!"

"Er...maybe more around fifty-something, actually-" He tried to correct only to earn an eye-roll.

She let the cover of the book drop on its pages and pushed her chair back. She strode round the desk and bumped into his shoulder. "Maths? Please, Elsword, something as simple as this!" Aisha leaned over his shoulder and snatched the pencil from his fingers. "Okay, look, first we want to find something to work with…" Her hand flicked a stray bang out of the way.

Elsword swallowed and nodded deeply. He glanced between her profile and the equations sitting in front of him, aware of his racing heart beat. The distance between the two was few, clearly, Aisha hadn't noticed. Whoa, whoa, whoa. What? Is she really that dense or just unphased by it? God, I feel like I'm gonna die… Almost as soon as he thought that, she turned to look at him.

"Elsword, are you even paying attention?" His skin crawled with shivers as he almost fell out of his chair. Dammit, don't turn this way! He was concerned about his heartbeat- thinking that if it sped up anymore, it would stop.

She slapped his cheek lightly and frowned. "Whatever it is you're thinking, scrap it because it's distracting your mind from learning."

"No, uh, it's just that…" He managed to start.

"Hm?" She looked up at his face with curious eyes.

"Close…" He muttered first, then louder a second time. "You're too darn close!"

"Ah-!" The first thought in her mind was 'RUDE!' but that was soon replaced with awareness and embarrassment. If she had moved at least three inches closer, her lips would have most likely brushed against his cheek- or even his own lips. "I-I-I…!" Aisha immediately took a step back, her face crimson red as she recalled all her recent actions. "S-Sorry…" She muttered and repetitively stroked some of her hair back. I'm so stupid, how did I NOT realize that!? "Argh! I-! Just don't get any funny ideas, I was genuinely helping you study with no other ulterior motives, alright!?" She hoped with all her might that he couldn't see her panicked state.

"Y-Yeah…" He moisturized his lips and nodded-the warm touch still fresh in his mind.

The study session was finally over. Students of class 2-A said their farewells to one another, and wished each other the best of luck for the exams.

Scarcely recovering from the previous scenario, Elsword neared Aisha and tapped her shoulder. "Hey, uh...want me to walk you home," He quickly added a second option, "Or are you all goods?"

"Eh? Uh...you can if you want, I guess." She tried to shrug casually but ended up dropping her bag. Frantically, she reached out to grasp the strap until she felt another hand touch hers. "Ah!" She pulled her hand back in realization and peeked to her right to see Elsword lending a helping hand.

"Here…" All tensed up, he handed her bag over.

"Th-Thanks.." She nodded and started off.

He soon caught up with her and matched their paces. "Hey, uh, thanks for taking the time to study and tutor me…" Elsword tried to start a casual conversation.

"Aha, no problem…" She paused and thought for a moment. "If you have any questions, you can always message me on SkypEl, I'll text you my ID later tonight, okay?" She gave him a friendly smile.

"Alright, thanks!" He grinned and inwardly pumped a fist. "So...are you much of a foodie? I mean, do you like trying out different kinds of foods?"

She noticed his implying tone and gave him a questioning look. "Yes, I do. All sorts of food is nice and can be quite the experience, if you ask me! ...Why do you ask?"

"Oh, well, uh, I managed to get my hands on these two tickets to…" His hand rustled around, deep in his bag until he finally fetched the pieces of paper. "...Elrios Gourmet Tasting!" He read off the tickets and showed it off.

Aisha gasped. "Those must've been expensive! How'd you get them!? Every year I walk past the posters and envy those that can afford it, hahaha..." She muttered the last sentence.

"Heheh!" He rubbed his nose confidently. "Well, let's just say I was given them as a present." Actually, they were leftovers since my sister got dumped just the other day…there's no way I can tell her that though. Elsword smirked and brought his hand to the back of his neck. "So...do you wanna go? With me, I mean…"

"Well...hm…" She gave him a skeptical look, wondering if there was a catch to this.

Elsword watched her consider the offer for a few minutes, making him worried if she was actually thinking of ways to turn him down. Maybe she's not interested? No, that can't be...I'm sure she'd like to go. Maybe it's WHO she'll go with...ouch. I'm not that bad, am I? Ugh, it'd be such a waste though… He glanced at the tickets and was suddenly struck with an idea. "Actually, scrap what I just said!"

"Huh?" She blinked twice. Oh no, does he think I don't want to go with him!? "Er, Elsword, I-"

"How 'bout this: If I make it into the top 50 scoreboard in the upcoming exams, you'll go to it with me!" He looked at her seriously in the eye.

"The top 50!? Can you even- Are you sure? Maybe that's a bit of a stretch, Elsword…" She didn't want to admit her doubts towards the proposal.

"I'll do it! I'll work hard so that you'll go with me, alright?" He grinned at her and gave her the V-sign.

She pondered on the idea for a while, then nodded with a smile. "Alright, this should be interesting. I look forward to getting our marks back, Elsword!"

The determined redhead laughed. "You better!"

"...But what if you don't make it?" She folded her arms and smirked at him, challengingly.

"Er...I'll...I'll…" He said the first thing that came to mind. "I'll give you a donkey ride on my back around the whole school!" Saying it outloud seemed to embarrass him as his face turned as red as his hair.

Aisha burst out laughing at the thought and had to wipe a tear from her eye. "Okay, okay, deal! Good luck, Elsword."

He nodded and clicked his tongue. "Prepare to be wow-ed, Aisha!"

His strong display of determination was all it took for Aisha's change of heart. Even if it was hidden in the deepest of places, there was no doubt that somewhere in her mind, she was definitely cheering him on.

Raven cleared his throat, as he approached Eve. "E-Eve?" What am I so nervous for?! Calm down!

She spun on her heel, and gave him a questioning look. "Can I help you?"

"Uh, yes, I mean no, I was just...wondering if you'd like me to walk you home, to, you know, your house, and all, well, I mean, may I?" Ugh, I completely screwed that up.

"I must thank you for your offer, but Oberon has brought the car today." she pointed at the front of the school gate, and there it was - the Nasod Corp's fancy car, and Oberon, waving at the two.

"A-Ah...I see…" Raven felt a sense of disappointment. "Well, er...good luck on your exams. Not that you need it, or anything like that."

Eve nodded, "Yes, same to you. If you need any help, don't hesitate to contact me."

Raven's hopes immediately rose sky high. "R-Really?! I mean, er-hem, sure, will do." That's an invitation for me to call her, right?

"Well then, I'll see you later. Study hard." she waved goodbye, and stepped into Oberon's car.

He watched the car drove off, and sighed, as he leaned against the school gate. He flipped open his cell phone, and stared at Eve's contact name. I don't even know if I'm man enough to push the 'call' button.

"Ah, Raven, my boy, I've been waiting so very long for you!" said a cheerful deep voice.

"!" the black crow turned his head to the left, and saw a middle-aged man wearing a white suit. He had hazel sleek hair, and a fedora hat perfectly perched on his head. "Who the heck are you?"

The man grinned, and held out his right hand. Rings of gold and silver dazzled on each finger. "My name is Adrian Weatherfield, a pleasure to be of your acquaintance!"

He sighed in response, "Look, I really don't care about you. If this is one of those donation or survey things, I have no interest."

"Wait, please hear me out, Raven!" the man who called himself Adrian tried to stop the boy from leaving.

"...How do you know my name?" he turned around, and glared at the rich man.

His lips curved upwards. "Well, you see, I've been keeping my eye on you for a very long time-"

Raven's firm voice interrupted him, "Hello, is this the police? Yeah, I have a stalker on my trail, his name is-"

"I'm not a stalker! I just wanted to chat with you for a bit! Honest!" he fretted.

"Make it fast." he mumbled.

"Well, as I introduced myself to you before, I wanted to talk to you about your career life." his words were fast, and his eyes kept staring at the cell phone in Raven's hand. Afraid that he might actually call the police.

"My career life?" the teen blink. "I haven't even thought about it."

"Look, I know this is a tough time for students since you have exams and all, but you really caught my attention when I first saw you." he tried to explain.

Raven had a look of disgust on his face. "If you're saying you fell in love with me at first sight, I'm afraid I'll have to decli-"

"No, I meant, when I first saw you at the business party!" he was starting to get tongue-tied.

"Business party?" Raven tilted his head to the side.

"You know...back in Chapter 21?" he face palmed.

"Ohhh, that fancy business party Eve went to." Raven nodded his head in thought. "Wait, what?"

"You see, after you caused that scene with Adam of Apple Tree, I thought you were really cool! I just had to hire you to work for my company!"

"Not interested." his reply was sharp.

"But I haven't even told you-"

"I'm not interested in working for anybody at the moment." Besides, if I began working for a company, that means I'd have less time to spend with Eve…

"But it's your chance to shine! To be a star! To get famous! To earn lots of money!" he tried to convince him harder.

"Having fans in school is hard enough for me." he muttered, and tried to shake off the guy.

Adrian was persistent. He ran in front of him, and put his hands on his shoulders. "Raven, I'm begging you, please! Won't you work for me as a model!"

He frowned at the last word. "Haah?!"

"Imagine! Your face on TVs, posters, fashion shops! Wouldn't that be wonderful?!"

"That's kind of creepy…" Raven grimaced at the thought.

Adrian whipped out a business card, and handed it to him. "I'm not asking for an answer now, but please, Raven, at least think it over, won't you?"

He stared at the card, then sighed, and reluctantly shoved it into his pocket. "Alright, alright, I got it. I'll think over it, but don't expect anything."

"Of course! Thank you very much! Please contact me as soon as you have your answer!" he nodded, and waved at him.

"Whatever." He walked to the dorms without turning back. A model, huh? Me? Pssh, that's impossible.

Raven kept on walking to the dorms, and stopped in front of the door to his room. But...if I did accept the job...would that be a step closer to Eve? After all, she's the daughter of a CEO, compared to her...I'm just a nobody. Maybe, if I got recognition through modelling...I'd be able to be on the same level as her? He felt hopeful, but at the same time, it sounded like a stupid idea. Am I just being naive?

The door opened, and Chung laughed, "Oh, hey Raven, what are you doing, just standing out here? Aren't you going to come in?"

"Hm?" he snapped out of his thoughts. "Ah, right, yeah…" He stepped into his room, and saw Elsword bashing his PSP's buttons.

"Raven's back? What took you so long?" Elsword asked, without looking at him. He was too busy gaming.

"Oh, nothing. Say, if you guys were offered a job, would you take it?" Ugh, then again, knowing these guys, asking them would be useless… Raven held his breath, hoping he would get a better reply than what he was expecting.

"Nah, man! Too much work!" Elsword pressed onto the console's buttons harder. "Who can be bothered with that stuff?"

"Well, I think it would be a good experience. Speaking of which, all of us should try and get summer jobs." Chung nodded. "After all, it wouldn't hurt to earn a little pocket money for ourselves."

"Ugh, Chung, you just reminded me that I need to start saving up for the new game which gets released next month!" He checked his wallet. "Let's see how much I have left in my…" he froze. It only had 1 ED left. "Aha...ahaha...hey guys, do you think Aisha would lend me some cash?"

"Why don't you just get yourself a job?" Raven rolled his eyes. "Anyways, so, Elsword, you wouldn't take the job, and Chung you would?"

"Eh...seeing how empty my wallet is, I'd probably take the job. Oh, but it also depends on what kind of job it is!" the redhead grinned, but then burst into tears. "AGHH, I FORGOT TO PAUSE MY GAME! NO! I DIED! NOOOO! SCIENCEBOY COME BACK!" He shook his PSP madly.

"Hey Raven, what's with the sudden question about a job? Were you offered one, by any chance?" the prince asked, while neatening his bed.

"Hm...yeah, you could say that. Some weird guy called Adrian Weatherfield came up to me today, and told me I had 'caught his eye'." he replied in a bored tone.

Adrian Weatherfield…? That sounds familiar. Chung questioned him again, "Oh? What kind of job did he offer?"

"Modelling." he replied.

The two boys looked at him with shock. "MODELLING?!"

"Huh? Yeah, why?" he glanced at the two, as if it was no big deal.

"YOU, RAVEN, A MODEL?! THAT'S LIKE - A HUGE STEP FOR YOU!" Elsword pointed at his friend. "I mean, look at you! You don't even look like you could be a model! Like those scars on your face, man!"

"Wow, thanks Elsword. I really needed your opinion on me." he muttered, sarcastically in response.

"I'm so surprised, Raven. Who would've thought you'd get into modelling? You should definitely say yes!" Chung advised. "Think about it, you could get popular, and-"

"Yeah, he said that too - I don't want to be popular, I just want her to notice me." he grumbled.

Elsword smirked, "Her?"

"Er...you heard nothing." Raven coughed.

"Well, you could be a big shot, Raven. That means a lot of money making, you know." said Chung.

"Wait - Ka-ching, ka-ching, making?! Raven, you've got to buy me that new game next month!" Elsword shook the crow's shoulders.

"Hell no! Buy it yourself!"

"Wait, Raven, quick, give me your autograph now, so when you get famous, I can sell it for a ton!" the redhead frantically grabbed pen and paper.

"For the sake of Elrios, I haven't even accepted the job yet! That's why I was asking you guys!"

"It's not like it'll interfere with anything, so why not?" asked the pretty boy.

"Let's see...I've got Track & Field, I've got exams and study, and I need some free time for Ev- I mean, for myself...I guess taking the job could help me gain money, but it's not like I need to buy anything…" he thought for a bit.

"Hmm...you said before that you wanted a certain someone to notice you. If you take the modelling job, don't you think she'll notice you then?" Chung said, with a hint of mischief in his voice.

"Knowing her, she probably won't even care about me doing modelling. After all, she's so...high up." Raven buried his face into his pillow. "I'm no match for her."

"What do you mean, 'high up'?" both Elsword & Chung knew exactly who Raven was talking about, but decided to play along.

"She's way above me, you could say she's too good for me. She's rich, she has high status, and there's no one in the world who doesn't know about her. It's like she's in the high-class world where she belongs, and I'm in the low-class world." he sighed gloomily.

Chung sat down at the end of Raven's bedside. "Then why don't you catch up to her?"

"Catch up to her? How?"

"Oh come on, if even I can figure it out, that must say something!" Elsword smacked Raven on the head. "We're saying you should take this chance to become a model, so you can catch up to her! Think about it, you said she's rich, has a high status, and everyone knows her - if you're a model, you'll be rich, have a high status, and everyone will know you too!"

"Huh…" he tossed the thought around in his head.

"If you don't want to do modelling for yourself, why not do it for her? Stop chasing after her, and instead improve yourself to make you into someone who's worthy of her!" Chung gave him a reassuring smile.

"You guys…" Raven looked at the two with a grateful smile on his face.

"Are awesome friends?" Elsword & Chung said, in unison.

Raven threw the covers on top of himself, and turned over, so they couldn't see his face. "Pfft, no. You guys are both idiots."

Usually, Elsword would retort back, but the two just shrugged and grinned at one another. They could tell from Raven's voice that he was glad to have friends like them.

Chung switched off the lights as usual, and the three went to bed.

Raven stared at his black cellphone charm of Moby, and closed his eyes. Alright...I'll accept the modelling job.
