"Lea! Behind you!"
"I'm trying!" He spun to deflect the various dishes and pieces of furniture that flew towards him, narrowly avoiding decapitation too many times for comfort. "Is this how all keyblade wielders learn?"
"Oh no dear," one of the three good fairies (he couldn't remember which) answered while simultaneously readying another onslaught of household objects.
"Yes, consider this more of a crash course, if you will," Merlin interrupted with a chuckle.
Lea scowled and glared down at his keyblade. It was there for the moment at least, but he had a hard time putting very much faith in a weapon so fickle. "I think I'm starting to miss my chakrams!" He grunted as he managed to block two plates and a chair before reflexively reverting back to his fire to knock away the heavy book heading for his face.
"Confound it all! I said no book burning!"
Lea sighed and ran a hand through his prickly mane. That was the third time he had used fire instead of his new weapon. He really was not getting the hang of this at all. Roxas used to make it look so easy, even using two of these at once, but no one ever mentioned how reliant the wielder had to be to use the keyblade. Before, his chakrams would appear whenever he wanted, do whatever he wanted, but now it was a struggle even getting his keyblade to appear. It had a mind of its own and if it decided just not to appear one day, Lea would be toast.
"Lea!" One of the fairies chided. "You're not trusting your weapon enough! You need to only rely on your keyblade to protect you, otherwise it will always be hard to use!"
Just use the keyblade? Yeah, right. It made sense that that was what probably made all those other keyblade wielders so good: only having experienced the one weapon, but Lea was sure it made for a lot of dead keyblade wielders too. He was a natural at fire and had used chakrams from before he was even a Nobody, he was not about to just ditch all of that and dive headfirst into trusting some choosy key.
At that moment Lea's keyblade vanished, leaving him wide open to the oncoming assault of furniture. "What the he-"
There was a loud CRASH and two of the fairies shouted in surprise.
"Oh yeah, I'm definitely missing my chakrams," Lea mumbled from beneath an armoire.
"Why don't we take a break?" Merlin suggested and flicked his wand to clear away the furniture.
