3rd PERSON

"Percy Jackson, Nico di Angelo, and Thalia Grace; we find you guilty of treason. Your punishment is this; Thalia Grace shall be stripped of her title as Lieutenant of Artemis, and sent to Tartarus, Percy Jackson shall be stripped of his curse of Achilles, empathy link, and be sent to Tartarus, and Nico di Angelo shall be sent to Tartarus," Zeus boomed. He gave them a cruel smile before saying. "If you have any last words you'd best say them now, before you fall to Tartarus." A black hole in the ground opened up in front of the trio.

"I can't believe you guys would betray me like this, not after I risked my life to save Olympus. Thanks a lot guys, I honestly thought you guys were my friends," Percy spat out. He gave them all one last glare before he stepped forward and fell down the hole.

Thalia spoke next. "I'm disappointed in you all, I expected better from you guys, especially, you, Annabeth. What happened to being family?" she snarled. Then she followed Percy down the hole.

Nico was the last to go. He spoke in a cold, emotionless voice. "Don't think you're through with us, we'll be back." He disappeared into the ground after that, but left a chill that made the campers shiver with dread.

Everything was silent; some campers were wondering what the three heroes had done to deserve this, while others had bought completely into the group of lies they'd been feed and were thanking the gods that the three had been sent to Tartarus. The silence was broken by a six-year old girl who finally spoke up. "I have two questions," she announced in a small voice, "First, what did we do to betray them? And the second one is, they won't be able to get out and hurt us, right?"

Zeus leaned forward. "I'm sure there are some of you who are wondering the same thing, you might think of them as heroes for helping save Olympus. Those three were dangerous, they had much power and were threatening to destroy the world with it. It took us forever to convince them to even try and save Olympus and the lives of everyone else, they weren't who you all thought they were. We had to banish our children, and if that's not enough to convince some of you, then I must remind you that they had severe anger issues, and when mad would cause a lot of destruction. In the past few days they threatened all of your lives, because they had a lust for power. This is why we had to banish them. They are corrupt beings, and needed to be sent somewhere they won't be able to escape. No mortal could ever escape Tartarus, it is impossible," Zeus explained.

The little girl stared at Zeus with big eyes. "Did their friends think the same thing?"

Zeus nodded. "Yes, of course! They were the ones who first realized the three of them were corrupted." The girl nodded as if she understood completely, even though she didn't believe Zeus. Angel couldn't believe that the people who had spent years protecting people and saving the camp were evil. Percy had saved her from a monster once during the battle, and she'd seen the others fighting. She didn't say anything though, for fear of being found out.

PERCY

After falling forever we hit the ground hard, and blacked out. When we woke up we seemed to be in an old car factory.

"I think we're in a car factory," I told the others in surprise, a car factory isn't what I thought of when I pictured Tartarus. I was thinking along the lines of a huge fiery pit, although I may be mixing Tartarus up with Hell.

Nico nodded. "Tartarus can take on many forms, it's alive and is forever changing."

"Okay death boy, explain to us what you know about Tartarus," Thalia demanded.

Nico glanced around nervously. "I think it would be best if we found a safe place to sleep first. I can sense someone, or something, here and it seems dangerous. Let's get out of here, then we can talk about how we are going to survive down here," Nico said nervously. Thalia and I nodded in agreement, if anyone could tell if someone was near us it was Nico. Before we could do anything though a voice sounded from above us.

"I sure hope I'm dangerous, I've been down here for thirty-five years after all." We all jump and looked up, on the catwalk above us was a man who looked to be in his twenties leaning against the railing and grinning at us.

"Who the hell are you?" Thalia asked.

"I was about to ask you the same thing, but I'll be polite and go first. I'm Thunder, son of Apollo, at your service. Now, I hear you guys just arrived and aren't sure what you're gonna do down here. I can help you guys; get ya to a save place where you can live and work," he told us. I glanced at the others. I was uneasy about this, how did this guy find us so quickly? Why was he offering to help us? It seemed a bit suspicious to me

"Do you think we can trust him?" I asked Thalia and Nico.

Thalia took a long glance at him. "I have a feeling he currently isn't a threat, and right now we could use some help. I don't trust him though," she said. I looked at Nico.

"I have the same feeling as Thalia, but for all we know he could luring us into a trap. He could be with a group of people who were or are nothing but lying, cheating, backstabbing, traitors." From above us we heard Thunder stopped pacing.

"Hey! I can hear you, you know!" he yelled obviously annoyed.

"Nico could be right, but what else can we do? Did you hear what he said? He's been here thirty-five years, he most likely knows his way around this place. I think we shouldn't go with him until we know more about this safe place," I told them.

"Percy made a good point for once." I glared at Thalia, "I think we should try, and if it's a trap we'll fight our way out of it," Thalia agreed. Nico was silent for a moment.

"Okay, let's try it." We turned around to face Thunder.

"Okay Thunder, we'd talk to about this place before we go with you, but come down here. I want to do it face-to-face, not by craning my neck to look up at you," Thalia told him. Thunder shrugged and hopped over the railing, falling about fifteen feet and landing in a crouch. He waved her hand in a gesture that either meant 'Go on and talk', or 'Wait for me to get my bearings'. I took it as the first one and started to talk.

"I'm Percy Jackson. The girl is Thalia Grace, and the boy is Nico di Angelo. We don't really want to go into detail about what happened to us, but we do want to know why you're willing to help us," I explained to him. He nodded like it made sense to him.

"You guys are Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades' kids, right?" He asked. I stared at him in shock.

"How'd you know that?" Nico questioned. He chuckled.

"Do you guys know how many monsters come here completely ticked off and ranting like crazy about you guys? Because it happens a lot, back to the problem at hand though, you guys need some help. There's are a couple different groups of demigods down here, you guys aren't the first to get sent down here. Anyways, us demigods need to stick together, so the first few dudes who were sent down here formed a secure group and it's been growing ever since. Joining up with us is your best bet down here," he explained.

Thalia frowned. "What's the catch?"

"Well, if you're gonna get our protection you have to work for the boss. It's basically like having a job in the real world, but you guys can't quit. If you take it you stick with it or risk making my bosses your enemies. So, what do you say?" This sounded like a good deal to me, but I'm not dumb enough to agree to it without knowing who I'm working for, and what jobs I have to do for him. I was just about to say this when Nico beat me to it.

"What kind of jobs will we be doing? And who's in charge of this?" Nico inquired.

"Oh yeah, I knew I was forgetting to tell you guys something! ADD, ya know? So, you'd be working for the head of my factory, there are a couple other factories scattered around Tartarus and they have their own head boss. All the heads of the factories report to the big boss, the dude who thought up the system. I've never met him, but our head trusts him, and the guy's a genius for thinking up this system. There are all sorts of jobs in the factories, and we switch jobs often enough so no one gets bored. Sometimes you have to go out and kill a monster, sometimes you bring people in for questioning, sometimes you go out looking for information. There are tons of jobs. Your job always changes within three days to a week or when you complete a task. Yesterday I was on border patrol, today I'm on recruitment. It's ever-changing." He informed us.

"What's in it for us, besides protection from monsters?" Thalia asked.

"You'll get food, a room, and clothes. There are some other perks too, but I'll save that information for if you decide to join," Thunder answered. "Now are you guys in or what?" he asked. I glanced at Nico who gave a slight nod, and Thalia who flashed a brief thumbs up. I grinned at Thunder.

"We're in."

As Thunder lead us to what appeared to be another factory, I looked around at Tartarus. It's was pretty damn depressing down here, and it's dark, not pitch black or anything, but like that dim lighting you get in a laser tag arena. Everything is dead or dying too, and it feels like they're trying to suck my life force as I pass them. It's making me feel tired. The occasional screams we'd hear in the distance aren't helping either. The other weird thing I'd noticed as we'd walked was that we had passed a few other factories, so I decided to ask Thunder about them.

"So are all the factories we pass headquarters? And why are they factories anyways?" I ask him. He turned to me.

"The big guy-" he was cut off by Nico.

"Isn't the big guy Santa?" he glared at him.

"Yes, but down here the big guy is the dude who came up with the system. As I was saying, the big guy seems to have a thing for factories. The next thing I have to say is that they're not real factories. They look like it on the outside, but on the inside it's different. Yes, they are other headquarters," he explained.

"Seems like you were pretty far from your HQ, why did you come way over here? Wouldn't one of the other HQs cover that area?" Thalia asked. Thunder shrugged.

"I had a hunch, so I acted on it."

"What exactly is gonna happen when we get there?" Nico questioned. Thunder waved his hand vaguely in the air.

"I'll take you to the boss, you'll fill out a survey so they can match you with a mentor, then I'll give you a tour, and finally you'll hit the hay. The next day you'll start training."

"Wait, what do you mean by training?" I asked curiously, he hadn't mentioned anything about training earlier. I didn't think he had mentioned it anyways, there was a good chance I could have zoned out...No, I'm sure he didn't mention any training.

"We have to train you guys, fighting is different in Tartarus, and so is using your powers. You'll also need to build up a resistance to this place, it can be dangerous just being out here. You'll also have to learn to do the jobs, so you don't botch 'em up on your first day."

"Will you be training one of us?"

"Maybe, I've trained one other kid before and he turned out okay. It all depends on that survey you'll take, it'll help the boss match you up with the best teacher you could get. It's pretty fun, training new recruits, because training them is your job for the next couple years," he said.

"Years? It takes years to finish training!" I exclaimed in shock. Thunder laughed at my reaction.

"I was surprised at first too, but then I started training and I realized I wasn't nearly as good as I thought I was. Camp Half-Blood preps you for a life in the real world, not Tartarus. If you want to survive down here you'll need to be on a whole other level," he stated gravely. We nodded in understanding and were silent on the rest of our walk.

When we finally arrived, Thunder lead us through the factory to a pair of big oak doors.

"Stay here, this is the Boss' office, I need to get your job forms," Thunder said.

"What job forms? You didn't mention any job forms," Thalia questioned.

"Shit, I always forget something! It's kind of like a job application, but more like a contract. You just sign your name at the bottom. It's states that you will work for the Boss, won't betray him, won't cheat, will carry out your jobs, yada, yada, yada." Thunder opened the door and walked in, the door slammed with a bang.

The door opened a few minutes later and Thunder came out grinning.

"Hey guys, good news the boss is really happy and you're in as soon as you guys fill these forms out," he told us as he handed us the survey and the job contract.

"There's one problem with that, we're dyslexic," I told him. Thunder waved his hand dismissively.

"It's in Greek, don't worry 'bout it," Thunder assured us. I shrugged and got on with the survey.

It had a bunch of questions like; What's your favorite color? What's your favorite band? What's your favorite food? What's you favorite weapon? What's your personality? Are you a demigod? Whose your godly parent? It was really simple, I filled them out faster than I thought I would.

We were all done in a few minutes and handed them back to Thunder, then he went back into the boss's office and handed the papers to him. They must have had a short exchange, but I didn't hear it. Thunder came back out and clapped his hands.

"Okay, I'm gonna give you three a tour of this place now. This way you won't get lost on your way to the bathroom in the morning. We'll start with the bunks, that's where you'll be sleeping tonight, then I'll show you the bathroom, the training center, the rec room, and the cafeteria. The rest of the place will be revealed to you in time. After this tour, we'll get you some food, send you off to the bunks for some sleep, and in the morning you'll met your mentors," Thunder informed us.

DISCLAMIER: if I was Rick do you think I would do a disclaimer?

EDIT: Howdy mates, I'm now editing this story because it was real shitty before, but this story also isn't done yet so I will be updating soon. I've made some changes besides grammar, originally it was Raven who found them. I also combined chapters 1 and 2.

Also, I have read House of Hades but I wrote this story before that so I'm gonna stick with my version of Tartarus. It works better for my story.

So for anyone who happens to be reading this today is September 2, 2014. As of right now only this chapter and the next have been updated. But I swear by this weekend I'll have all the new edited chapters up.
