Fuji-senpai held the tennis racket out towards me. What? A Match? With Fuji-senpai? You have got to be kidding me! There's not a chance that I'll ever play a match with him to settle the things that happened in the past! Replying in a low tone, I closed my eyes and turned around.

"Don't make me laugh, Fuji-senpai… There's no way... that things can revert back to the way it was…" I started to walk away. That's right… There's just no way things will go back to the way it was before.

"Echizen…" He called out to me.

I clenched my fist.

"I'm going to practice tennis… If there's nothing else…please leave me alone…"

Fuji-senpai stood there and stared at me as I picked up a tennis ball. I bounced the ball a few times before serving it to the other side of the empty court. I served the ball a few times when I heard a voice calling out from the outside of the court.

"Heh! Echizen! You're practicing? Me too! Let's play together!"

I turned around a saw Oishi-senpai as he ran towards me. Fuji-senpai saw this and walked out of the court.

"Oishi-senpai… You do realized it's late at night right?"

Oishi-senpai chuckled.

"You're one to talk." He smiled at me before bending down and whispering at my ear. "I'm going to tell Chiyo that you're not resting but playing tennis late at night."

I flinched.

"Y-you…" I broke out in cold sweat. Oishi-senpai started laughing.

"Then let's play tennis together, I won't say a word to Chiyo if you play tennis with me." He smiled. This mother hen! I sighed. I have no choice do I? If she finds out about this…she'll probably worry too much.

"...F-Fine…But, if I win, you're going to wear a chicken suit and prepare breakfast for everyone tomorrow." I challenged him. Oishi-senpai's jaw dropped wide open and his face grew red in embarrassment. I smirked at him and whispered back at him. "That's what you get for threatening me."

I walked over to the opposite side of the court. I picked up a tennis ball that was on the floor and threw it up into the air a few times.

"C-C-Chottomate!" Oishi-senpai shouted.

"I'm not going to wait." I smiled with confidence. I got into position and prepared to serve the ball at Oishi-senpai. Oishi-senpai panicked.

"E-Echizen!" He screamed.

"Here I go Oishi-senpai!" I served the ball at him and the night ended with Oishi-senpai's howling 'Nooooo' throughout the night.

Meanwhile back at the cottage…

Chiyo was lying down at her bed, tossing and turning around, unable to fall asleep. She sat back up and sighed to herself. Something was troubling her. Chiyo got out of bed and put on her jacket before opening the door to the corridor.

"I wonder how Ryoma is doing…" She said to herself. As she was making her way to the lounge, she passed by the dining room. She could here voices coming from the dining room. She thought that she would just walk pass the room without the intention to eavesdrop or anything until a familiar name popped up.

"…About Echizen…"

Chiyo flinched stopped in her tracks. She knew that it was wrong for her to be eavesdropping on other people's conversation but she couldn't help but listen in on it. After all, it was something that involves someone important to her. Instinctively, she tip toed back to the entrance of the dining room and leaned towards the door of the dining room. It was Sakuno and Tomoka.

"What about Echizen?" Tomoka, Sakuno's bestfriend asked.

"I noticed that Echizen seem to have changed a lot…" Sakuno replied.

"Huh?! That bastard?" Tomoka shouted in disbelief.

Sakuno nodded as she blushed.

"Recently, I started talking to Ryoma-kun again… He seemed to have changed a lot…"

"Sakuno, you're not…"

Sakuno nodded again.

"I think I am…"

"But don't you already have Momo-senpai?"

Sakuno clenched her fist tight.

"It's true that I have Momo as a boyfriend…but… he is behaving rather strangely lately. He scares me Tomoka-chan! I feel really scared whenever I'm alone with him! But…but… Ryoma-kun…" Sakuno began to tear up. Tomoka looked at her for a moment.

"Sakuno, it's impossible for you and Ryoma to get back together…"

Sakuno stood up.

"Why not?"

"Sakuno, Ryoma has Chiyo… and also-"

"Because of what I did to him right?" Sakuno cut Tomoka right off before she could finish her sentence.

"That's right…" Tomoka nodded.

"But Tomo-chan…" Sakuno smiled to herself. "I was Ryoma-kun's first love… he got so affected by the fact that me and momo got together that it screwed him over, that just means that I was really important to him."

"Well…you may be right." Tomoka's face lit up. She stood up and patted Sakuno on her shoulder. "Well whatever you do, I'll always be supporting you!"

"Thank you Tomo-chan!" Sakuno smiled.

Chiyo who was on the other side of the door froze. Her face went as pale as a sheet. She stepped back from the door and started running back to her room as fast as she could.

Chiyo's POV:

What was that? What did I just hear? Sweat was dripping down my face as I ran back to my room. I slammed the door and squatted down at my door. I hug my knees close to my chest and buried my face between them.

The next morning…

Ryoma walked into the dining room and sat down with Kaidoh. He looked around the dining room.

"Eh? Is Chiyo making breakfast?" He said. Kaidoh shook his head. He thought that Chiyo may still be in bed and did not think too much about it. Fuji then walked into the room and walked over to the table and sat down next to Ryoma.

"Good Morning Echizen." He smiled at Ryoma. Ryoma looked at Fuji for a second and looked away.

"Alright for today's breakfast…" Oishi walked out of the kitchen with a bowl that was piping hot in a chicken suit. "Curry eggs!" He placed the bowl on the table and everyone gapped in horror.

"Erm…Oishi…what is this?" Kikumaru asked in disbelief.

"I just said it, curry eggs!" Oishi said with confidence which made everyone face palm themselves.

"This black oozing weird stuff isn't curry eggs! Do you even know how to cook? There's no such dish as curry eggs you stupid chicken! Why are you in a chicken suit in the first place?!" Kaidoh shouted.

"It's not my fault that I can't cook! I thought I'd be assisting Chiyo with making breakfast but she's not here at all!" Oishi shouted.

Ryoma flinched. He stood up instantly and walked out of the room.

"Echizen? Where are you going?" Oishi asked.

"To find Chino." Ryoma said and left the dining room. He walked up the stairs and down the corridor that led to Chiyo's room. Standing outside the room, he knocked. There was no reply. He knocked again and there was no reply. Ryoma started to worry.

"Weirdo, I'm coming in…"

Ryoma opens the door. The room was pitched black. He walked in and looked around the room, searching for Chiyo. Chiyo was sitting in the corner of the room with her head buried between her knees. Ryoma saw this and ran towards her.

"Oi, weirdo! Are you okay?!" He said worriedly as he shook her. Chiyo groaned a little and lifted her head up as she slowly opened her eyes. She saw Ryoma right in front of her eyes and stared at him.

"R-Ryoma…?"

"Are you alright? You don't look so good." Ryoma pressed his palms on her forehead. Chiyo blushes as Ryoma's skin touches hers.

"I-I-I'm fine!" She stood up instantly. Ryoma got back up on his feet and stared at Chiyo curiously.

"Really?" He asked.

Chiyo nodded.

"Yeah. I was just a little tired."

"Hmm. Well then let's go." Ryoma took Chiyo's hand and started to make his way to the door.

"Where are we going?" Chiyo asked while blushing.

"Where do you think? Breakfast."

"Heh?"

"You look like you could eat a thing or two. Come on, I'll make you something to eat."

Chiyo looked at Ryoma with a confused look.

"Huh? Isn't Oishi-senpai making breakfast? He told me he would."

Ryoma ruffled his hair and sighed in frustration.

"I can't believe I actually let him make breakfast."

"Heh?"

"You'll understand when we get to the dining room."

Back at Chiyo…

I held Ryoma's hand as we walked down the corridor to the dining room. I could feel my heart beating and I could feel my face burning up. Ryoma's hand are so big, rough and warm. We reached the dining room and as we entered the room, I couldn't believe my eyes.

"Oishi-senpai…why are you in a chicken suit?" I stared at Oishi-senpai. Oishi-senpai turned around and ran towards me. Ryoma saw this a started laughing to himself.

"CHIYO! TELL ME I DON'T LOOK LIKE A MOTHER HEN!" Oishi-senpai shouted with tears falling out from his eyes. Eh… what am I supposed to tell him? He does look like a chicken. But I'm not sure about the mother hen part.

"Oishi-senpai-"

Oishi raised his hands up to his ears and covered both of his ears with his hand.

"AH I DON'T WANNA HEAR IT! DON'T WANNA HEAR IT! YOU'LL PROBABLY AGREE WITH ALL OF THEM! LALALALA!" Oishi-senpai shouted and started turning around in circles. I looked rather confusedly at him. What in the world happened.

"But you'd have to admit, that outfit really suits you. You should really consider becoming a full-time mascot for the restaurant that we work at instead of a waiter." Ryoma smirked at Oishi-senpai.

"Ahhhh, please don't say that!" Oishi-senpai blushed.

Seeing the two of them going at each other playfully, I giggled. They are so silly. I couldn't help but feel cheerful again. While Ryoma and Oishi-senpai were bickering with each other, I glance over slightly to the dining table where Ryuzaki Sakuno was sitting at. She looked rather displeased, rather upset. Seeing her, i can't help but be reminded of the conversation that I overheard last night. Sakuno looked over at my direction and I averted my eyes away. I felt a hand on my head.

"You look really pale."

I looked up and saw Ryoma. He casually stroke my hair. I got slightly embarrassed as everyone in the room was looking at us.

"I-I'm fine."

"Hmm, are you sure?"

I nodded. Ryoma heaved a sigh.

"Well you still need to eat, I'll whip up something really quick for you. So just sit here and wait for me."

I nodded and sat down at one of the dining table. I just can't stop thinking about Sakuno's and Tomo's conversation last night. I wished I never even heard that conversation…

Back at Ryoma…

Ryoma was at the kitchen making some omelet for Chiyo, when someone unpleasant entered the kitchen.

"You're such a loving boyfriend, aren't you?"

"Get the hell out of my sight…Momoshiro…"

Momoshiro stood there in his tennis team jersey. He leaned on the kitchen counter and rested his elbow.

"How mean, you don't even address me as your senpai anymore."

Ryoma ignored him and finished cooking the omelet. As he was about to leave the kitchen, Momoshiro said something which stopped Ryoma in his tracks.

"Chiyo-chan looked really pale today, I wonder whats bothering her…"

Ryoma sighed.

"Chiyo."

"Hmm?"

"Do you mind leaving us for a while."

"Eh? O-okay.." Chiyo nodded and left.

Ryoma turned around and pierce a sharp glare at Momoshiro. Momoshiro was taken aback and sweat started forming around his forehead.

"Look, Senpai… Just because I let you steal Ryuzaki from me last time, doesn't mean i'll let you do it again. Like I said, back off before I make you regret all of this."

Enough being said, Ryoma continued cooking and left Momoshiro in a state of disbelief. He stomped out of the Kitchen and slammed his hand on the wall in the dining area which startled everyone. His face was black and dark. Slowly, he started laughing all by himself.

"Huh? What was that? He let me steal her? Haha… Don't fuck with me… Echizen Ryoma!"

Ryoma walked away with fury shown in his eyes. Chiyo on the other hand, leaned against a wall and held her hands close to her heart. Even though things have been getting better, a dark storm clouds over the only ray of sunlight as things began to shift its course once again.
