The next month was brutal for Santana. Shelby was awake and in physical therapy. She was staying with Rachel since it was safer than Shelby's two story house and there was more room for the private medical staff that Rachel employed for her recovery.

That wasn't what was brutal, it was the people that followed them around. The reporters, the papz, the security that the Berry men demanded, and then there was the groupies. It was like they couldn't get a moment alone. Her parents were keeping her on a tight leash, stating that there would be no more sleepovers that they "both needed rest, that could only be had when they were away from one another, apparently.

Then there was Brittany, the girl that broke her heart. The girl that refused to love her when she needed her the most. Now wanted a place in Santana's every day. Worse was that Rachel seemed to think it was a good idea. Santana wasn't so sure.

Not to mention Quinn who was now BFF's with Rachel riding her every move. Santana was sure she just using Rachel to get to Beth.

Rachel, knew that too and still played along with it, because Santana insisted they were her best friends and that they cared about her. Trying to fight with someone who just fed you your own words back to you just sucked.

"Stop frowning." Rachel whispered as they sat together at lunch. Lunch that was being had at breadsticks and she was so annoyed that she couldn't even enjoy her sticks. Nothing was right in the world.

"I'm not." she lied.

Rachel laughed and pulled Santana into her arms. "Are." she whispered placing a kiss on her nose. "But I'll love you even if you never smile again."

The taller brunette wasn't able to fight her grin. "Well thank goodness." Santana giggled and laid her head on Rachel's shoulder. "I love you too."

Rachel hummed her agreement and waited for their waiter who had taken off in a world of fright when he had seen them. Santana wasn't happy that he was their server. Last time he got her order wrong.

"Hello Miss. Lopez." came a reserved man's voice. Santana glared at him.

"Hello Nathan." she crossed her arms she hadn't even done anything yet.

"I'll be your server this afternoon." the much older man, who managed the restaurant states.

"Why?" Rachel asked looking around everyone was staring at them. "Is there a problem?"

"Not at all Miss." he said with a smile. "Miss Lopez here requires special attention." Santana rolled her eyes and fought a blush. Damn them.

"Is that so?" Rachel eyes held there mirth. "How odd."

"So have you decided on what you'll be having today?"

"I'll have a salad please." Rachel smiled and handed the man her menu,

"I'll have the same." Santana said subdued with Rachel by her side.

"Right away, Miss Berry. May I welcome you on behalf of the entire staff, you're a positive influence on our favorite and best customer."

"Is that so?" Rachel grinned again.

"Why are you still here? My girl wants her salad and I wants my sticks."

Rachel rolled her eyes. "Work in progress." she whispered loudly to Nathan behind her hand.

The man threw his head back and laughed as he left to put in their order.

Santana scowled at the rest of the wait staff that decided to look in their direction, and soon they were taking off quickly in the opposite direction.

"You really have them all in place don't you? Rachel laughed.

"And you know it." Santana smirked and relaxed back into the seat.

"You're adorable."

"You'll ruin my rep." Santana muttered crossing her arms.

"Oh I can't have that. Shall I cower when you look at me? Or maybe I should chase after you?"

"Stop it." Santana rolled her eyes. "I like that you're different than everyone else."

"Oh is that so?"

"Stop saying that!" Santana hissed sipping her water, leaning away from her girlfriend with a roll of her eyes.

"Yes Miss. Santana." Rachel said in a husky sexy voice.

Santana melted, closing her eyes as she repressed a shiver. "Oh god."

"Rachel will do." Rachel laughed kissing the girl on the cheek. "God you're adorable," Rachel whispered leaning in and kissing her softly. "and you're all mine."

"Lucky you," Santana scoffed.

"Very lucky me." Rachel confirmed tucking a stray hair behind Santana's ear. She leaned looking deeply into the Latina's eyes. "I'll always be thankful of fate and the road that lead me to your arms, your kindness, your lips, your beauty, your intelligence and your love." she took the girls delicate hands in her own. "Always and forever I've been blessed to have this moment, and any future moments with you."

"Rachel." Santana breathed out transfixed, moved so much by Rachel's words. All the trial and tribulations over the month melted away. Rachel, their love, these moments were worth all of it and more. "I love you. More than I did yesterday, and I'll love you more tomorrow than I do today."

"Rachel smiled softly and laid her head on Santana's shoulders "Ditto." she whispered.

Santana looked at her reflection, giving it a once over. It had been three months since their date at Breadsticks, life had been an emotional roller coaster.

Shelby had made a full recovery, Rachel's dads had taken a temporary position at the local hospital. They were still living with Rachel. Life was good but complicated. Tonight they were going to the graduation dinner that a bunch of the seniors were getting together for, at Rachel's rooftop.

Santana was nervous and excited. She had been recently accepted to Brown, Stanford, and Columbia. She was planning on telling Rachel tonight, hoping that one of the places would be where Rachel would find her own temporary place in the world.

By the time that Santana had made it to the roof she was regretting not eating before she left her own house. She had been afraid that she may have been ill if there had been food in her stomach. She was a little shaky, and her nerves were getting the best of her as she watched Rachel and Puck interact.

They truly were what friends goals were. She found herself smiling at their banter. Puck was currently priming the keg while Rachel was holding a sandwich to his face, for him to take a bite in between putting the joint in her other hand between the two of their lips. They were weirdos, but they were one another's weirdo.

Santana also knew that they were a packaged deal. And any life that she would expect to be able to have with the tiny diva would be directly connected to the quarterback. And that broke a smirk to her face. Life would never be dull with the two of them around.

So no she didn't know what tomorrow held. She wasn't promised tomorrow ,none of them were. But she was content, she had a future...one that for the first time in a long time she was looking forward to, and embracing. Tomorrow could wait ,because for the first time she just wasn't fearful of it.

"Hey Princesa," Rachel smiled over at her as she made her way to her. She was in one of her usual casual killin it outfits tiny shorts, chuck boots, and 80's baby tee. She made it to her side in record time pulled her into a gentle kiss. "You haven't eaten." she accused with a slight frown.

"How can you always tell?"

"Because I pay attention." she took her hand and led her to a table. "Let me feed you, then you can tell me what's on your mind. What's made you too nervous to eat.."

Santana just rolled her eyes, she was a open book to this girl. She was transparent, Rachel could read her soul with a simple look into her eyes. It was annoying, frightening, and if she was honest it was warm, it was home, it was peaceful. And ok she kind of loved it.

"You don't know everything." she muttered, but ruined it with a smile and leaning into the diva.

"Not yet, but I will." Rachel said with confidence that melted the Latina. " With you, I want to take the time ,take the Santana Lopez course, study and get my degree." she whispered into her ear as she kept her in her arms between the table and herself as she made a sandwich around Santana.

"There you go again Berry. Stop making me feel like I'm the only thing in the world that matters." she said taking a small bite out the sandwich that Rachel held to her mouth, after turning her around to face her.

Rachel smiled up at her, rolling her eyes and then kissing her softly on the lips. "Princesa, You haven't been paying attention, you are my world."
