AN/
Wow. Long time no see. I know I had said I would update more often, but after I had a ruptured appendix, things weren't looking to great. Lovely. They didn't even take it out until late July (Don't ask me how that worked out. I only know that I was on a butt ton of medicine that prevented me from dying during that time.)
I have also been writing my LOTR fanfictions for a different account because I haven't watched much anime in a while. It's surprising actually.
It is strange. And as you can tell from the last chapter, I have really been into Tolkien's works. Yaaaas! By the way The Hobbit:BOTFA , anyone going to see it soon? I am after Christmas! :D
Has anyone seen the new Black Butler anime yet? Is it good? I may check it out later.
I am surprised that this story is going well for you guys. I really want to rewrite it and make it more organized, but oh well. It's a tad too late for that. ;) I am extremely thankful for all of the followers, favorites, and reviews I have received. You guys make my day, and you are the reasons I came back to this lovely story. I will finish this story within the next year- Don't let me slack off.
If it is taking too long for me to update, pm me and say "For the love of bunnycakes, update your Kuro story all ready!" ^^;
I do apologize, though, for the delay in updates.
Chapter 30: An Outing With a Lord
Early this morning, Sebastian woke me up, telling me that I only have about four hours to be ready for my outing today with Lord Rossborough. Of course, I am excited, but I have a really strange feeling in the pit of my stomach. I can't tell if it is nervousness for today, if it is because Sebastian is in the room with me, or if it is because I feel guilty. I don't quite know why I feel that way, but I do.
"If anything at all goes wrong," Sebastian warned me before he exited the room, "Call for me, and I will arrive shortly after." He probably thought I looked like an idiot. With my mouth open and tired eyes, as well as bed hair all over my face, I would think of myself as an idiot.
With the help of Mei-Rin, I am put into a beautiful green dress. I was excited to wear it for today, but then she breaks the buttons. I wanted to cry. This is what I wanted to wear when I was able to walk around again. However, my favorite butler comes in to the rescue. He silently fixes the buttons, ans pulls a chair for me to sit in. "Are you okay?"
"Of course," Sebastian smiles oddly. Sometimes, I really hate his smiles. They aren't even smiles. They are either smirks or devilish grins- never something comforting. I always want to run when he smiles.
"Okay, then..." I say. He proceeds to do my hair, which turns out to be marvelous. Thank you scary Sebastian skills! It is finished just in time for him to pull into the yard. He gets out of the carriage, and Tanaka greets him. Ciel escorts me down the stairs, watching Lord Rossborough's every movement- as if something bad will happen. Psh. What could go wrong?
"It is a pleasure to see you once more, my lady," Lord Rossborough says, kissing my hand in greeting. I wish guys back home were like this. It would make most girls' dreams come true.
After we left the Phantomhive manor, it took us about twenty-five or so minutes to arrive at the Rossborough Manor. "Here we are," he introduces me to his servants, and we make our way to the garden. There, his butler has already set out a table, chairs, and made sweet-scented tea. Lord Rossborough pulls out my chair for me, to my absolute joy, and he sits across from me.
We chat for a couple of hours, drinking tea, talking about America (thank goodness for history classes), Germany, and anything else we could think of. He constantly joked about whatever subject we were on, and I really had to be careful with my laughter. I would have ruined our first date by spewing tea all over him. Yeah, Irene. Good luck.
The only problem I have right now, other than the possibility of doing a spit take on the guy in front of me, is the bad feeling I have. I guess it is just me, because Robin seemed to have a blast with that Beckenridge guy. "My lord, this is for you," one of the butlers said as they brought a letter to him.
"Can it not wait?" he asks in annoyance.
"I am afraid not, my lord."
I hear Rossborough curse under his breath as he opens the letter and begins to read. "Shi-" he curses and he slams the letter on the table. Oh my bunnycakes. This isn't good. I gasp and cover my mouth with my hand, as it is rude to have your mouth open for the world to see. "Please forgive me, my lady, but it seems," he begins to say through clenched teeth, "I have some undesired business matters to attend to at a nearby store. I will have James bring you back to your residence. Again, my apologies."
He stands up, kissing my hand as a farewell, and he beckons his servant, James, over and orders him to send me back.
This kind of scares me. I don't understand much about business, but I do know that whatever is going on, it must be really bad. I mean, it isn't acceptable to leave a lady chilling by herself, especially not in this time period.
As I arrive at the manor, Robin is laughing her head off, saying that I probably spewed my tea in his face, and though that almost happened, it didn't. I didn't even bother to tell her otherwise, though. I just went up to my room and requested Mei-Rin to help me change. Of course, Mei-Rin is unavailable because she and Bardroy destroyed the kitchen. Which means I'm stuck with Sebastian.
Great.
In my room, he blindfolds himself, and I do the normal 'how many fingers am I holding up' test. He can't lie, so if he can count my fingers, then he can see- which is a no-no by my standards. As soon as he finishes unbuttoning my dress, I say softly: "I can take it from here, Sebastian."
"Very well," he says. "How was it?" I finish putting on my nightgown, and handed Sebastian the green dress.
"It was okay, I guess. We had a magnificent time, at least until he had to leave to tend to one of his shops downtown."
"I suppose that is alright."
"Mmhmm. Now if you would excuse me, I would like to get some sleep," I asked politely.
"Goodnight, my lady."
"Night, Sebby."
Robin POV
"Ciel: Got any 3's?" I ask. One more card and I win.
"Go fish." Okay... five more cards.
"Got any 8's?"
I reluctantly handed over that one card I just drew out of the deck. "I win," Ciel says. Que the Star Wars "no!"
