Naruto let out a small sigh as he stood on a rooftop in private drive, watching Harry's house, behind him were Gaara and Omoi, both of whom had agreed to help keep an eye on Harry.

It had been nearly a month since the holiday's had started and things had been rather interesting; after returning to the elemental nations Naruto had spent the two weeks getting to know the Konoha wizards a little more, along with his two cousins; Tenten, Karin and Amaru had been rather easy to get to know, especially Tenten, who had asked him to train her.

Out of the four Konoha first years, Neji was the hardest to get along with, especially when he kept going on about fate, only stopping after Naruto beat him half to death, he even went into his nine tailed shroud to drive the point home.

Once the third week was over Dumbledore had arrived with a mission request, where he explained about a man named Sirius Black, and how he managed to escape from the wizard prison Azkaban; his request was surprisingly simple, he wanted three of the shinobi students to go and keep an eye on Harry, since the ministry feared that Black would be after him.

"Well, another boring night and nothing interesting has happened yet," Naruto said causing Gaara and Omoi to look up from their game of chest.

"True, the only thing that would be considered interesting would be Harry's aunt coming to visit, and tonight's her last night here," Omoi said enjoying his sucker as he planned his next move. "Check," he smirked at Gaara, getting a blank look in return.

"Check mate," Gaara said, cornering Omoi's king, causing said genin's moth to open in surprise as his sucker to fall out of his mouth.

"You should know by now Omoi, Gaara's a genius when it comes to strategy games like that," Naruto chuckled, glancing over his shoulder, before looking back at the house, a confused look appearing on his face at the strange sight he was seeing. "Hey guy's, am I crazy, or is Harry's fat ugly as hell aunt floating away like some giant misshaped blimp?"

Confused by Naruto's question the two glanced in the direction of Harry's house, only to see the boy's aunt floating away like a giant balloon, indicating that Harry had used magic.

"Well, you being crazy is debatable, but in this case no," Gaara said getting an annoyed look from the Kyubi Jinchurikki. "And since it's obvious Harry used magic, my guess is he's going to run away, thinking he'll be expelled for using magic outside of school."

As if on cue the front door to number four privet drive opened and Harry stormed out, dragging his trunk, his wand in his hand.

"*Sigh* well this is just great, better go stop him before he does something stupid," with a nod of agreement from the other two, the three shinobi hopped of the roof.

Harry was in a bad mood, though they had started of better than the previous summer; after returning to the Dursley's things had started off, for lack of a better word, good, he was allowed to keep his school things in his room and his owl Hedwig was allowed to fly freely.

Things had gone downhill though, as Harry knew they would, when his uncle Vernon's sister, Marge, had decided to come for a week-long visit.

Things had started off rather well, Harry ignored his aunt for the most part, going over his school work in his head whenever she decided to criticize him.

The real problem arose when, during dinner on Marge's final night, the old hag had gotten drunk and began running her mouth, which he tried to ignore, until she hit the topic that broke the camel's back, his parents.

After so much, Harry unconsciously used magic, causing his aunt to swell to the size of a blimp, which didn't take long with how fat she was; upon realizing he had used magic again, despite the warning he received the previous summer, Harry raced to his room, packed his things and left the house, which led to his current situation of sitting on the sidewalk with his school things.

"Well, this is a fine mess," Harry muttered to himself, he really didn't think things through when he left his aunt and uncles house.

"That's the understatement of the year," Harry jerked around in surprise at the sound of a voice behind him only for him to see Naruto, Gaara and Omoi sitting on some park toys. "Yo, nice night to run away, wouldn't you agree Harry?" Omoi asked with a lazy smirk.

"Omoi, Gaara, Naruto, what are you three doing here?" Harry asked in surprise, not expecting to see three of his friends here on privet drive.

"The old man had a nagging suspicion that something stupid might happen and cause you to use magic, so he asked us to come keep an eye on you," Naruto gave his patented fox like grin, getting a sweatdrop from the boy who lived. "Looks like I owe Yugito, damn I hate it when she's right," seeing the confused look on Harry's face Naruto shrugged. "What, I bet Yugito that the old man was being paranoid and that you wouldn't use magic, you use magic so I lost, which is very strange, since I hardly ever lose a bet."

Ignoring Naruto's ranting, Gaara moved over and grabbed Harry's trunk before holding out his wand arm, causing a purple triple decker bus to appear with a bang.

"Hello and welcome to…" a young man a few years older than them stepped off the bus and began an introduction for the bus, only to stop as Gaara pushed past him, carrying Harry's trunk, followed by Naruto and Omoi who were pushing Harry, sitting him down on a bed near the front of the bus.

"We know who you are and what this is, now just get us to the leaky cauldron as fast as you can, and we won't have any problems," Naruto gave the boy and the driver a small smirk that sent a shiver down there spine.

Yugito let out a small sigh as she sat in the bar of the leaky cauldron, along with Temari and Kurotsuchi, as they waited for Naruto and the boy's to return with Harry.

"You know, I think we should have gone to watch Harry and let the boy's deal with the new students," Temari groaned as she downed her glass of fire whisky.

"I know what you mean, I know Naruto beat that fate shit out of the Hyuga boy, but the Uchiha really need the stick pulled out of his ass," Kurotsuchi said thinking of the new students.

When Dumbledore had come to them with the mission request, he had also brought the list of new first year shinobi that would be attending Hogwarts; from Konoha there were Sasuke Uchiha, Ino Yamanaka, and Hinata Hyuga, from Suna there was Matsuri and Sari, both of whom had a crush on Gaara, from Kiri there was another swordsman named Chojuro, a girl from the Land of the Sea named Isaribi, a girl from Kusa named Ryuzetsu and a boy from the fire temple named Sora.

While Naruto, Gaara and Omoi headed to watch over Harry, Yugito Temari and Kurotsuchi, along with the other third year shinobi, were left to gather all of the new first years and transport them and the second years to Diagon Ally in order to get there school supplies; to say that the new first years were trouble was an understatement, they were worse than the second years, especially the Uchiha and the boy Sora.

"Well, at least when Naruto gets here he'll be taking over getting their things," Yugito said getting a smirk from the other two girls.

On the night bus Naruto gave a small shutter as a feeling of terror washed over him, something told him that Yugito and the others were planning something that had to do with him.

"Something wrong Naruto?" Gaara asked seeing him shutter, only a handful of things made Naruto shutter, his mom when she was angry, Mei when she was angry and Yugito planning something that involved him, to name a few.

"Just a bad feeling," Naruto muttered getting a chuckle from the two shinobi, and a confused look from Harry.

"So what were you three really doing in Privet Drive?" Harry asked as a silence settled over the four.

The three shinobi glanced at each other before Naruto nodded, he didn't see any reason to keep Harry in the dark.

"Well you see, while it's true we were sent to keep an eye on you, it wasn't just to make sure you didn't use magic," Naruto said in a somewhat serious voice. "Tell me, do you remember that story on the news about the escaped convict?"

For a few minutes Harry sat in silence as he tried to remember the story Naruto was talking about, before it came to him and he nodded.

"Well, that man is believed to be a Voldemort supporter," at the sound of the name the bus jerked, nearly hitting a barn. "And he's believed to have broken out of the wizard prison, Azkaban, in order to find and kill you, though we doubt that's true; but the ministry of magic is paranoid and in a panic so the old man hired us to keep an eye on you while at school this year, so you don't do anything stupid."

"I don't do stupid things," Harry protested, only to get blank looks from the three shinobi.

"Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber of Secrets," Gaara said causing Harry's head to fall in defeat.

"Like I said, the old man hired us to watch you and 'make sure' you don't do something stupid this year," with a sigh, Harry nodded his head in understanding before looking out the window of the bus.

"I hate these damned kids," Naruto growled out as he slammed the door to the third year's private compartment, the first and second years having to share another compartment across the hall.

"What did they do this time?" Guren asked glancing up from the Monster book of Monsters, the book they would need for care of magical creatures.

"That damned Uchiha brat started going of about me stealing his 'precious bloodline' then that Sora kid got into an argument with Neji, Chojuro got into an argument with Ameyuri, though she did start it, and that Hyuga girl's to damn timid, I barely glanced at her and she fainted from embarrassment the that Yamanaka girl starts going off on me for causing her to faint," everyone chuckled at that as Naruto grabbed a bottle of fire whisky and downed the bottle.

"Are they really that bad?" Karui asked getting a blank look from Naruto. "Right, sorry I asked."

"By the way, has anyone seen Hermione?" Yugito asked glancing at the others. "She's normally here around this time in the journey."

"She's ridding with Potter and Weasley, apparently Harry over heard something and want's to discuss it with them," Gaara said, his eyes closed, his hand over his left one showing he was using his third eye technique.

"*Sigh* maybe this year won's be as bad as last year," at Naruto's words every glanced at him, each of them wondering the same thing.
